Mission Summary
Captain Samantha York and a select few members of her crew join the USS Von Braun in search of the mission Damion Raine. With some help from Starfleet Intel, they head to an area where several ships have gone missing. What they don't realize is that these ships have fallen afoul of a subversive Orion Syndicate who are conscripting workers for their underground mining facility.
The Nova-class Von Braun is attacked, the bridge nad most of the crew destroyed. The rest are beamed down and sent through a brief indoctrination. The rules are simple. Stay out of trouble and you just might survive. Today.
The crew is scattered throughout the mine, tasked to different sectors. Each sector is kept separate from the others by guarded checkpoints and explosive devices implanted in a small selection of prisoners. None know who have the devices -- until they go off. It's enough to keep most in their place.
Each sector is divided into red and green zones. Red zones are for work. Green for rest. If you're caught in the wrong zone at the wrong time, or in the wrong sector, and you have an IED, you explode. The fear of being one of the few keeps the rest in line.
Each sector has one or more gangs run by group leaders. These are the few who instill loyalty or fear in others and thus become rulers of prison groups. Only they have permission to cross between sectors during their green period.
Women are few and treated more as property -- or a trophy. Women either join with a strong leader or become the pawn of one. Brutality is the norm and subjugation the game among both the guards and the prisoners.
If you're weak, you die. If you're strong, you survive. Or if you're very, very clever, you might just find your own special niche.
It's been 27 days. Some, like Apu Barnum, find a way to play the odds and survive. Others, like Captain York, are grimly searching to find the survivors are escape. Others ... have their own stories. What's yours?
