Mission: Subjugation

Quickly turning around, Cameron hurried back to the gate, dragging it shut. Pulling out an old Klingon disruptor, he melted the gate closed just as several prisoners came within arms length. "too close" he said, heading back to the group
"That gives us a few minutes," Kara said. "Let's make the most of them."

Apu slipped ahead of the others. If he remembered correctly, there was a side entrance used by the guards... He followed behind some of the guards who felt that running away was preferable to being shot.
He returned to Damion and Ronnie. "There is a guard entrance on the side of the tower. Hidden from view. I believe that will be our best way out." He turned to where the prisoners were banging on the gate. "I suggest we hurry."
"Quite." Daniels said, nodding, as he felled a guard who had been hiding in one of the guard towers. "I'm down to two bars."
"One." Cassandra said, nodding.
"Seven." Robert noted. "Daniels has a quicker trigger finger. And Ms. Lancaster."
"A marine being out-shot by a scientist?" Daniels asked.
"Hey! I'm security now. I get to slack." Robert said. Cassandra smacked him upside the head, then handed him her nearly drained phaser, and took his almost full one.
"Leave that to someone who can use it, slacker. Let's get the hell out of this forsaken place." Cassandra said, noting that the guards were in a complete state of disarray. She looked at Robert's Phaser, and suddenly had an idea. "On second thought, give that here. You folks, make a run for it. I'm going to set this phaser to over-load. With low power available, that'll take about 2 minutes, or so. In the mean time, I'm throwing it at that gate. I want us to have a head start, but I don't want the guards to regain control, either."
"Come on," Ronnie said, nodding to Damion. "Apu, since you know where this entrance is, you can lead."
Apu nodded and hurried ahead, not waiting to see if they were following.
Damion stood behind Ronnie and then stood forward. He held out one of his Disruptors as he followed Apu.
Ronnie signaled to the others, then followed as well.
Doc kept up as best he could running from coverpostion to cover position~I'm fetting too old for this~ he thought himself as group went running and fireing again.
Apu stopped in front of a door and pulled out a small item. He waved it across the door and around both sides, then nodded. "It's safe now." HE had no interest in being the leader, so he stepped back and let the others proceed ahead of him.
Kara wasn't going to let the Fleeties take the lead. They were walking into the lion's den and she wasn't going to put the others at risk.
Disruptor at the ready, she shouldered past the others and through the door.
Cameron stayed at the rear of the group, ensuring no-one fell behind as they rushed from point to point, seeming never to stop for to long.
A disruptor blast hit the wall, barely missing Kara. She ducked and returned fire, missing the guard by inches. Her second shot hit him square in the face.
As a barrage of phaser and disruptor fire flew by the group, Damion grabbed a hold of Ronnie and fell with her down to the ground. In an attempt to protect her from getting hit, he covered her body with his and held on tight until the streams of weapons fire stopped.
Ronnie was both touched and frustrated by Damion's protective gesture. It was great that he cared enough to protect her, but she was a trained Starfleet officer and wasn't defenseless. Still, she lay quietly so she wouldn't put them both at greater risk of being shot.
With a forceful growl Damion got up on his knees, pulling out both his Klingon Disruptor and one of the guards phaser rifles and returned fire. He let out a large and fierce scream as he let out his own barrage, hitting several but missing others. There were several explosions around them, which set off a slight ringing in his ears. Again, Damion threw his body onto Ronnies to cover her from random pieces of the exploding walls and equipment. As he got back up, he caught a glimpse of Hur'Rak surrounded by several guards and members of his group.
Ronnie got up slowly and looked at Damion. His eyes were cold and hard, much like Johnny's had been. It scared her. "Damion? Damion!"
