Personality & Traits
General Overview | Cassandra does a fairly reasonable job of appearing approachable, and friendly. Her telepathy is barely present, when it comes to reading surface thoughts, or emotions. She has, in their place, a trained practice, known as telepathic proprioception, which is extremely frowned upon in Betazed society, as it's only use includes combat situations. She doesn't have much in the way of telepathic screens, either. While most telepaths have large walls with landmines surrounding their minds, Cassandra's mind looks like a small, white picket fence, with a sign 'please don't step on the grass', outside a small house. She is exceptionally skilled at hand-to-hand combat, due to her mind's trained ability to focus on her opponent's motor cortex, and respond, purely on reflex, to what her opponent is about to do. Her combat skills remain largely in place, against esper-blind, or telepathically protected individuals, as her combat reflexes are also trained in these situations. |

Strengths & Weaknesses | +Extremely Adept at hand-to-hand combat. +Very open-minded. +Good strategist -Some times, too open minded. -Not exceptionally good at distinguishing coworkers from suspects, or possible assailants. -inept at telepathic screening, and communicating telepathically. -Not necessarily technologically literate |

Hobbies & Interests | With the obvious notation of combat training, Cassandra spends much of her time in physically active training. Some of which can be rather risky, notably the Klingon game Klin zha kinta, or, the game with living pieces. In such a game, the tactics rely as much on the person controlling the pieces, as the person who is the piece. A bad tactician can win, because they have a skilled fighter, while a good tactician can loose, because their opponent had a poor fighter. It is a great training field, for opponents who do not have readable motor cortexes, as the holograms do, neither. Cassandra also tends to spend much of her off-duty time practicing her other art, the human Guitar. What, specifically, death metal has, that attracts her, is not known to her previous room-mates, however that doesn't stop them from leaving really mean notes about her, with the quarter master. |

Personal History | Growing up on Betazed, with an impaired telepathic capacity, left her open to ridicule from those around her. Eventually, her parents began to notice, her response to this was to lash out, physically. This was not highly liked. Worse, still, however, from their point of view, was that her telepathy began to reflect this. Focusing on another person's motor cortex, the hardest part of the brain to shield, she would react to a persons actions, before they acted. At age 9, after near-constant bullying, she had perfected proprioception, by accident. This resulted in quite a few bloody noses, before her parents were murdered. No one wanted to take care, of this precocious, and calculating young child, though a Klingon Ambassador, who visited the planet, took exceptional notice of her, after his son made the mistake of attempting to harass her with the other children. This resulted in a near-instant eruption of violence, which his son, a well trained warrior, could not win, because she guessed his every move, and countered it, before he acted. She was quickly taken in, to his house, and given proper training, and a code of honor, of sorts. It wasn't Klingon, but it was good enough for her. The Klingon, and his family, had spent 8 years, training her, and helping her control her combative urge, while dispatched to earth. He remained on Earth, until she was 17. She was told to choose her path. Follow him, to Qo'nos, and try and make her way into the Klingon Defence force, or find something on Earth that interested her. The KDF's loss was Starfleet's gain. At the end of the Dominion war, Security Officers were only just rebuilding. Much of the Fleet's staff were lost, during engagements, as that's what Security did, at a time of war: Gave their lives so others could do their jobs. In the war's wake, many opportunities for bright young warriors opened themselves up to those who actively took them. Cassandra actively took them. |
