"I've survived in this purgatory for five weeks and I've managed to make it to sector boss. I don't need to remind you what that takes," she said coolly. She paused, deciding to be completely honest with him. "Yes. One way or another, I'm not leaving Damon." Her gaze was direct and unflinching. "That's why you have to get the others out of here."
[NEW]
"Good!" Damion replied, slightly yelling in her face. It went silent for a moment, until a smile grew on his face. "Because if I managed to convince you to stay and let me go, I might have had to slap you." He reached into his coat and pulled out the Klingon Disruptor from the inside pocket. "Here. Your gonna need a backup piece in case you run into trouble." He tapped the back of it against her chest softly. "Watch your head and your backside. I'll get them out of here and back home. I'll make sure to tell the crew you said something deep and heroic before you left." He paused for a moment. "I'll think of something." He paused again and then laughed. "Better yet, I'll let Ronnie think of something."
Sam took the disruptor and slipped it into a cargo pocket. "If all goes well, I'll see you soon. If not, take care of Ronnie." She paused for a moment. "Thanks, Damion."
"For the record. There is not a man or woman who would be able to keep me from doing the same thing for Ronnie. If necessary, I would leave a trail of bodies at my back to get to her." Damion look at her with a stern look and slightly cold stare. "Between us both, it wouldn't have been the first time." He got quite now. Just looking at her, trying to find the words to continue and finding that it was just left at that. "I am not proud of it either, but what's done is done." His stern looked turned to a small smile. "If its any consolation, If you don't make it back, I'll hijack a ship and make sure the people running this place knows they made a huge mistake messing with you. Now get out of here and save your man. Do your best to bring him home and I'll do the rest." He went to walk out and then stopped, standing at the tents opening, his back still facing her. "Oh and Sam. If you make it back. I'll be wanting my disruptor back." He smiled a bit, she could practically feel it from where she was standing.
Sam gave him an impulsive hug. "Absolutely." She gave him a mock salute and slipped out a hidden back entrance into the tent.
Damion just stood there as she hugged him. He couldn't help but smile, then realized that after all this, if something did go wrong, he would probably be blamed for it. So, it's best to just let the fur fly and watch what happens from here. Damion stepped out of the tent with a slightly new conviction in mind. Bring everyone back in one piece. "Ronnie!" He yelled as he walked forward with a devilish smile on his face. He approached a guard holding a weapon and tapped on his shoulder.
The guard turned around, holding out the rifle. "Back to your sector, Johnny."
"Gonna need that rifle, Boss." Damion responded with a smile, balling up his fist and nailing the guard with a right cross. As the guards head turned, Damion stepped forward and grabbed the rifle, taking it from his hands. He kicked him in the stomach and as the guard fell back, he held the rifle out and fired. "Names Damion, by the way. So why don't you just lay there and think about it for a while." He smiled and walked away, looking for Ronnie.
Ronnie heard Damion and came out to find him. She'd finished packing -- if you could call the few possessions she had to take with her packing. She slowed when she saw him attack the guard. "Damion?" she asked, approaching him hesitantly. When he turned to face her she smiled, seeing the look in his eye that assured her he was still her Damion.
She slipped an arm through his. "Where's Sam?" Her eyes met his for several moments as realization dawned on her. "Oh."
Damion looked over to Ronnie. They shared a look, almost knowing what each other was thinking and stayed silent. He couldn't help but wonder if some part of Ronnie was slightly telepathic or very intuitive. "Let's keep that between us, Ronnie. For now, we get these people out of here and wait for some sign. Nothing changes, Baby. Nothing. We get out of here and take as much people with us as possible. No hesitations. No questions."
A young man stepped from the shadows, looking around. "Don't shoot, for the love of god don't shoot," he said softly looking at Damion. "I just want to go home man."
"Then come with us," Ronnie said softly. "We'll do what we can."
