Gibbs took a moment to eyeball the scalpel then looked back up to Telrick. He smile again as he turned and walked to the door. "Come along now, Captain York. Much to do. Much to do."
Telrick
Pirate doctor
[NEW]
Sam turned her back on Gibbs and focused on the doctor. "You removed the IED?" She knew it was there, having felt the distinct humm of the electronic device in Damon's head. "I won't leave until I know he's safe." She turned to Gibbs. "That goes for you, too. So, if you want me to speak to your Captain, you'll make sure Damon is well first." She gave them both a defiant glare. After the last six weeks in the mines searching for Damon, she wasn't going to walk away now without a few reassurances.
Gibbs stood at the door as he looked over to to Sam with a slight smirk. He found it funny that he was being asked about the IED's. "Captain. I am pretty sure Doctor Telrick was smart enough to disable the IED from both you and Mister Raine." The Ferengi laughed a little as he looked over to Telrick. "After all. I am pretty sure he would recognize his own design when he sees it."
Telrick turned around and then looked over his shoulder to Sam and Gibbs. He smiled as he looked back over Damon's body. "My finest masterpiece thus far."
"Don't mind him. Who knew a Romulan could be so overdramatic." Gibbs said as he sighed and pointed to the door. "I can assure you that our orders are not to kill you or Mister Raines. Every other question can be answered by our Captain. Which he will be extremely angry with me if I don't get you there when he asked. Last thing I want is to deal with the first officer."
Sam didn't have an IED, but Damon did. However, she wasn't going to say anything to the doctor or this Gibbs.
She was surprised at the news that the doctor was the inventor of the IED. She kept her surprise well hidden, turning to kiss Damon and gently touch his mind to be sure he was fine.
She was again surprised, but this time pleasantly. Damon was awake. Sam was both relieved and pleased. Hola querido. Do you want to come with me to meet this Captain?
"I'm supposed to be unconscious." He said, though his eye stayed shut. "We wouldn't want to disappoint this man's superior by letting him think otherwise." His voice was intentionally loud enough so that everyone in the room could hear.
Sam grinned appreciatively. "No, we wouldn't want the doctor to think he couldn't do his job, now would we?" The mental noise that Sam associated with an IED was gone. At least the doctor did that right. "Well, my love, as you are unconscious, I should leave you to rest and recover. However, if you wake up, you're welcome to come with me to meet this Captain of theirs. Although I have a feeling I've already met him."
"Oh?" The eye not under bandages flashed open, clearly intrigued by Samantha's comment. His legs swung over the side of the biobed and tested the ground for a moment. "Well in that case I just woke up." He looked to the other men in the room. "Don't worry, just tell your boss i'm sleep walking."
Telrick turned to Damon as he heard him speaking. He was curious as to the amount of resilience he had considering his injuries. "Your not moving anywhere." He yelled as he approached him. "Your staying here unless we are told other wise. If your in that much of a mood to disobey them, I can easily put this back in your head." He picked up a glass dish with the IED he took out of Damon's head.
"Keep waving that thing in front of me and i'm sure I can find someplace to insert it that you wont like." He growled back.
Sam was sorely templed to let Damon do just that. It would serve the doctor right. "Tell your Captain it will either be both of us or I stay here and watch Damon find somewhere to insert the IED."
She folded her arms and glared at both the doctor and Gibbs.
"I would enjoy seeing you attempt that surrounded by armed guards!" Telrick slammed the disk onto the tray and took a step forward to Damon. His eyes narrowed slightly as three of the guards removed their phasers from their holsters.
"I will see what I can do." Gibbs responded with a smile as he hit his PADD. He enjoyed the thought of one of the Doctor's IED's being inserted somewhere, although he thought it would be difficult because the stick that had been there for years would get in the way.
Telrick looked over to Gibbs, his face still red with anger. "Mister Gibbs! You know very well that our orders are to keep Raine here."
"Yes Pointy Ears, but we are also told to respect Captain York's wishes. If her wish is to have Mister Raine accompany her then it acts as a loop hole, doesn't it?" Gibbs still held his smile as he looked away from his PADD. His smile began to grow all the more devilish. "Although, it would amuse me to see your favorite toy being placed somewhere that the Romulus Sun doesn't shine, I still have my own job to preform which entails making sure the Captain gets what he wants."
"If you weren't so protected I would kill you, you annoying Gremlin." Telrick crossed his arms over his chest and took in a deep breath.
Gibbs smiled as he looked at his PADD and then back to Telrick. "And I bribe the Nagus knowing that you will never have the lobes to put your hands on me." He snickered slightly as he looked to York. "Please fell free to help Mister Raines off the bed as you follow me to the Bridge, Captain."
Sam couldn't help grinning at the two. She was going to threaten to not go to the bridge at all if she couldn't go with Damon. Fortunately, it looked like she wouldn't have to do that. She helped Damon off the bed and slipped an arm around him. He was quite capable of walking by himself, but she was taking advantage of the moment. "Let's go."
They followed Gibbs out of sickbay and to the bridge.
