Mission: What Lies Beneath?
Location: Tiberius IV and USS Orion
Timeline: Current

ON

Sam was sitting in her ready room after sending her report to Starfleet. There had to be more she could do here... Some way of getting those ships back, at least. If she could do that, they'd be able to check their databases and find out what happened. As she thought, an idea came to her.

She tapped her combadge. "Senior staff to the bridge."

She quickly made her way to deck 1 to see if her idea would work.

Jaxara nodded to her, as she stepped out of the turbolift, having already been on the Tactical station. "Captain on the Bridge." He announced curtly.

Karma heard the call and quickly made his way to the bridge. It wasn't often that he was called there and he was curious.

Wally was sitting at the ops station when the Captain excitedly walked onto the bridge, looking t her in wonderment as she called the senior staff to the bridge.

'Hmph some thing has caught her attention.' He though to himself

Erin was already in the counsellor's chair on the bridge and calmly waited for everyone else to show up. ''Something wrong captain?'' She asked curiously.

"Not yet," Sam replied. "But I'm not quite sure what we'll find -- I'm going to try pulling up the ships..."

Leroy walked in, looking rough. He had just come his department, dealing with something else. "You called Mon Capitan?"

"I did," Sam told him. "We're going to try and salvage this mission."

Kaj had been on the bridge the entire time, but had stayed silent for the most part. Now however his navigational sensors chirped and twittered for his attention, a little electronic reminder that was pretty relevant at this point. "Coming up on the wreckage site skipper, should I put us into a geosynchronous orbit?"

"Yes. Right over the landing area."

Nava walked onto the Bridge from the lift and assumed a position where she could see what was going on and offer an opinion if needed.

Sam nodded to the other officers, then headed to the science station. "Ronnie, I think we can use sound waves to locate the missing ships and pull them out of the sand." She quickly made the adjustments to the scanners, smiling in satisfaction when the three ships became visible.

"Now," Sam said, "We need to use the ship's tractor beams to pull them out of the sand without drawing the attention of the eels. Lieutenant Jaxara, can you man the tractor beam? Ensign McGraw and Lieutenant Mikkola, I would like you in shuttles, in case we need additional tractor beams." She turned to Karma, Leanne and the Marines. "I would like you in shuttlebay 1 when the ships come in. I have no idea what we'll find on board."

"Erin and Nava, your input would be appreciated," she continued. "Finally, I'd like someone from engineering on hand when the ships land as well." Sam wanted to be prepared for any eventuality.

''Of course." Erin nodded and stayed in her place, pondering the new turn of events.
To say 'good luck' seemed to be futile, but it seemed to warrant the situation.

Nava nodded "I'll be in the shuttle bay." She said considering that they didn't know what they would find once the ships were free of the sand. "Do we know how many ships there are?"

"Three. Our firefly, a Federation shuttle and an OreCo mining ship. We may not be able to recover the cargo ship. Whether we do or not may become a matter of diplomacy."

Nava nodded and left the Bridge for the shuttle bay.

Leroy snapped to and turned. "I'll be in the bay then," he said before disappearing. He was running as soon as he was out of the bridge. Situations like this were delicate, but even then a well-aimed punch in the mouth of what ever could be aboard would cheer him up immensely.
