Leroy snapped to and turned. "I'll be in the bay then," he said before disappearing. He was running as soon as he was out of the bridge. Situations like this were delicate, but even then a well-aimed punch in the mouth of what ever could be aboard would cheer him up immensely.

[NEW]

Wally nodded at the Captains request. ''Ma'am, I will assist in engineering for the moment. I'm sure my skills could be of some use.'' Sam nodded in reply and Wally left the bridge.

"Tactical stands ready to man the Tractor Beam." Jaxara said with a nod. "Jaxara to Engineering, I will need pinpoint targeting scanners, and tractor controls. Divert power from weapons if necessary."

Gonzales tapped his commbadge. =A= Aye, sir. We'll it all she's got. Rerouting power, recalibrating sensors... You'll be able to see what you're doing just don't go too hard with that tractor beam. =A=

Randall had just come to the Bridge in time to hear the idea and then responded with, "Aye aye, Ma'am, en route to the shuttle bay now."

Damon simply shook his head as Leroy ran out. ~Well, he certainly is eager~ He thought to himself. With a few steps he had moved over to the communications panel and toggled the Marine barracks. =A= Charlie Company, this is Captain Raine. Second platoon gear up and report to shuttle bay one for assistance of security personnel. Third platoon will remain on standby. Containment protocol is in effect. Raine out.=A= He closed the link. As he turned, he looked to Samantha. "I may as well remain on the bridge, the Lieutenant will take care of things down there."

"I'd appreciate that," Sam replied. ~I may need the support,~ she added telepathically. She wasn't sure what they would find and having Damon nearby to give her feedback would be greatly appreciated. "Yes, I see your new XO is quite... eager." She hoped he wasn't too eager. Some of the thoughts that jumped out as he ran concerned her -- one of the down sides to being a telepath. Strong emotions and thoughts tended to break through her mental barriers.

Ronnie worked on getting a clearer scan so that tactical could lock onto the three ships. She started with the firefly, as that was the least vital of the three. "Okay, Lieutenant," she said to Jaxara. "See if you can pull the firefly out."

"Confining tractor beam, locking co-ordinates." Lorne said with a nod. "Engaging tractor... Showing a minor tax on three EPS conduits leading to the tractor beam. Bridge to Engineering, Sections 13, 14, and 15 show strains on EPS Conduits leading to the tractor beam. I'm going to need those reinforced for the second use of the tractor beam. The firefly isn't that big, and with the ship in it's current condition, I'm don't want to risk having the tractor fail 50-100 meters above the surface. I'm not reading much onboard power."

=A= We're on it! =A= Gonzales turned to the closest three engineers. "Kajinski, Javil, Williams, get your teams and get down to those sections. This lady hasn't had her last dance yet and I don't want her collapsing before her big finish!"

With the conduits repaired and additional power to the tractor beam, the firefly slowly lifted out of the sand and cleared the atmosphere.

When it was safely in the shuttlebay, Sam turned to Lorne. "Well done. Are you ready to tackle the shuttle next?"

"The targeting scanners are almost shot. It'll be by manual. That last precise targeting maneuver blew half the power sources to the scanners, but I'm just glad the tractor relays didn't conk out." Lorne said. "Ready when you are."
