Mission: Deadly Diplomacy

Sam took just enough time to stop by the VIP conference room to inform the Octurian Delegation about the murders and assure them that extra security would be sent down to make sure no one tried to kill them. Then she went to her quarters and called an emergency briefing. In the ten minutes she'd given her staff, she sent messages to the Panerian government and Starfleet Command, informing them of the situation. She had just enough time to change into her duty uniform and head to the briefing.

She still made it back to the conference room before anyone else arrived.

Thaddius was on his way to Chief of Security's office when he received the summons from York. He had not expected such given how weary she was of him but he would still give her his full cooperation until the XO situation was sorted out. "Hello again ma'am." he said taking a seat at the table.

"Hello, Commander," she said, nodding politely.

Cam was next to enter. He had come straight up from the training grounds, so as a result he was still wearing his BDU's, his pack and was still carrying his rifle. He'd given the order to lock done the whole Maribe Deck and to start preparing for deployment. Expecting to see more people, Cam looked a little confused, "you did call for an 'Emergency' Meeting correct?"

"I did. The others are slower to arrive," Sam replied.

Blackcat nodded at Cam, wondering if Cam remembered his time on the Glenn, or if he was one of the ones whose timeline had been rewritten. It got confusing sometimes, it was more safe to see if they spoke up first.

Lt. Andrews entered the briefing room, trying not to feel 'queezy.' A quick trip back to her and Lukk's room to change had left her a bit dizzy. She sucked in a few gulps of air and reminded herself to take something for it later.

Arnon arrived at the briefing room and took a seat at the conference table.

Frost hurried in and sat down, she was still in her whites.

The echo of Sparta’s heels seemed muffled until the door opened, Spartacus walk into the Room in her usual skirted uniform with a PADD in hand. The uniform's silk had been professionally dyed to match the specifications of the Uniform Dress Code. She had taken some liberties, the material was her only specification; it was better than native attire as Counselors are allowed. She was sure to have her black hose with a sheer quality to them and the black boots were from a scaled Hyde of a chameleon creature's shed skin that had a quality of molding to the wearer's lines. The low heel was enough to give accent to her leg and still follow the dress code.

Spartacus nodded towards Samantha in respect before sitting at her place at the table, folding her legs properly under her and crossing at the ankles ready for the briefing.

Sam nodded back. She was getting used to Sparta's style in dress and was secretly amused by it.

Ignatz followed soon after, carrying a large covered and a dish full of muffins the size of a big man's fist. "Please, help yourselves, they're trying to feed me baked goods till I'm fat again."

Munich was reluctant to leave the Bridge and if he were nothing more than a CHief he might have brushed it off, but as the Acting XO he had to be there for hiss COmmanding Officer, a United Front and right hand to her. He entered the room and moved to the right hand seat of Commodore York.

"Ma'am." He said as took his seat.

Damon stood quietly at the edge of the room as he was known to do. He quietly looked the group over, careful not to meet anyones eyes directly. He didn't have much to say as his duties lay elsewhere.

Sam noticed his entrance and felt her muscles relax a bit. He was the one person she trusted implicitly. With everything going on right now, she needed his support and his insight. She smiled at him briefly and turned back to the others in the room.

Admiral Burke slipped into the briefing and found a place to stand at the back. She wasn't sure why she'd been asked to be here, but had to admit she was curious.

When everyone had arrived, Sam began. "Some time during the night, someone killed the Panerian Delegation. Ensign Sparta found them when I sent her to check on why they were late to breakfast." She waited for the news to sink in before continuing. "Security and Intel have already begun investigating. As soon as they finish the preliminaries, the bodies will be sent to sickbay for autopsies. I would like science to assist to make sure we don't miss anything. There's an obvious cause of death, but I want to make sure it isn't just to cover the real cause."
