Mission:
A Pirate's Life
Location: Holodeck
ON
Sam was now in full Captain mode. Pirate Captain, that is. With the holodeck controls malfunctioning and the British shooting cannons at the Black Pearl, she was determined to do what she could to keep everyone safe and get away.
Malcolm finally began to realize they were in trouble and nervously walked over to the Commodore,"Ma'am, uh what are we going to do? I'm not engineer but I can definitely tell somethings wrong with the holodeck."
Sam looked at the counselor, sensing that he wasn't going to like her answer. "Right now, we're going to fight the British. Then, if we survive, we'll look for shelter. There's a safe harbor not far from here as the crow flies."
A cannonball flew overhead, barely missing the mizzenmast.
Malcolm's heart sank as he then turned from the Commodore. Another cannon ball hit the side of the ship taking out a chunk of it as well as a few of the holographic crew. His lip began to quiver a little bit as he turned pale and slowly began to walk midship but as he did so, he began to uncontrollably cry."I can't do this again! First the borg and now this crap! I'M A COUNSELOR NOT A MERCENARY!!" he shouted as he collapsed to his knees and assumed the fetal position whilst sucking on his thumb. A wet spot began to form under him from the tears as well as other fluids as the massive fear of the situation over took the poor counselor."Mommy.." was all he could whimper as he continued to shake back and forth uncontrollably.
Sam looked at him, half in shock and half in pity. "I'm sorry, Malcolm. I think you might want to roll under the mainsail so you don't get shot." It was the best she could do right now. Her main priority was to take out the Man-O-War. "All canons, fire at will. Turn us around, Johnny! I want ramming speed!"
Amarylis rushed over the counselor whom was curled up and placed her hand on his shoulder. "Sir, you need to find a dark corner somewhere, stay low and hide in it until I come find you. Can you do for me?" she said trying to get the man out of harm's way.
"Mommy??" He simply said looking at the Sergent, the fear making him delirious.
"Not quite....Come on." she said reassuringly. "I'll take you somewhere safe."
Malcolm got up and follow her to the nearest dark corner of the ship somewhere out danger where he curled back up into the fetal position still whimpering.
"There there." she said patting the man's back. Amarylis got up and returned to where Commodore York was.
Johnny practically danced. "Aye, aye, Captain!" He turned and yelled to several pirates, "You heard the Captain, let's take out the blaggards!"
Amarylis surveyed the area and noted the Commodore was going to ram the Man-O-War broadside. She smiled at Sam. "Oh I like the way you think!"
Cam was moving around the deck, giving out orders left right and centre. He was still wearing his dress blues as he hasn't really had a chance to change into costume. Walking over to Sam, Cam sighed, "We're in trouble. We may have the fire power, but no-one in Starfleet is trained on how to fire a Cannon or Muskets"
Shade spit out his fuel with a sigh. He'd be able to spray someone in a few, he loved to breath while running around. Walking up, torch at his side he tapped Cam. "Not all of us live in this century Lieutenant. Some of us do know how to fire weapons not in use since before the first world war." Smiling he handed the man a molotov, and lit the shirt end. "Now just throw that when we get close enough," he said like he was talking to a child before smiling and dancing away to grab a cannon. "Let me know when Captain!"
Looking at the burning bottle in his hand, Cam shook his head, "Can't we just ask the computer for more advanced weapons? I mean rifles from even the early twentieth century would be better than what we've got now"
"The computer is not responding," Sam replied quietly to Cam. "Until we figure out what's going on, we're stuck. So, we're going to make the most of it."
She raised her voice to address Shade. "When we get close enough to see the whites of their eyes, Mister Benge. I don't think they'll be expecting your particular brand of firepower."
At least they had the holo crew. They knew how to said and how to fight and would follow her orders -- as long as the computer didn't mess that up, too.
"Look lively!" Sam yelled. "Take out the mainsail." That gave her an idea. "Mister Benge, let's use one of your cocktails to set their sails on fire."
Shade looked at Cam, the bottle in his hand that was lit and then over to the ship, then back at Cam. He made a hand gesture that clearly said 'Well throw the thing,' and grabbed more of the fuel. Putting the bottle to his lips he laughed before putting a large bit in there, closing his mouth and breathing through his nose. His record was 19 feet, with a five foot ball at the end, and he was going to push himself harder. Closing his eyes for a second, they snapped open and he smirked. It was just another day of training now, and people were watching. Taking a large breath, Anthony pursed his lips, put the torch about fifteen inches from his face and started atomizing the fuel.
As it flew out the fire ball started to grow, and he started pushing all the air from his lungs. Pushing himself harder, he heard the crew of the Man of War scream and watched them scramble for cover as he closed his mouth and turned his head away incase of back blast. The ships were twelve feet away, and the fire ball had cleared the railing, caught two gunners unawares, and an officer. Laughing he ducked and started scrambling for a cocktail and maybe the rope dart he had of they tried to board.
Robert upon see shade spite fire gave him a good idea
he aimed the rocket at the main sail's and shot all four of them
as the rocket's screamed though the air with a neon blue trail reaching the sail's and exploding with red ball then a blue ball smaller in size inside the red fallowed with a crackling sound well it did not catch the sail's on fire but it put big holes and scorch mark's all over it
Malcolm finally came to after whimpering for what seemed forever and a day. He slowly got back up and began to become aware of his surrounding again."It wasn't a dream, great." he said as the battle was still raging on. He figured it was time to get out there and do some good and cowering in a dark corner wasn't going to do anything productive. He located the Commodore across the deck and began walking over towards her trying to avoid getting killed in the process.
The Man-O-War turned sharply to avoid both the collision and the fire. Sam could use that to her advantage. "Hard to port.. Bring us alongside and prepare for boarding!"
Amarylis removed her scimitar from it's sheath smiling in anticipation for the coming battle. "Just the way I like it ma'am, up close and personal!"
