Sam and her Yeoman set out a variety of pastries, fruit and drinks for people to snack on while they had their morning briefing. She loved pastries, and she hoped that it would help alleviate some of the stress seh would cause with her briefing today.

Sam got herself a chocolate-iced donut and a glass of milk before sitting at the head of the table to review her notes.

Kyt arrived, muttering something about useless mission advisors, and sat down. Daniels had followed her in.

"Seriously, Tramira. He's just doing his job." He whispered.

"I know, but still, withholding information, just because a junior officer-"

"Calm down, Tramira. Have a cup of coffee, and don't kill anyone." Daniels said, with his hand on her shoulder.

"Right. I'll try." Kyt said.

"Ma'am, would you like me to stay, and ensure she doesn't get violent?" Daniels asked York.

Damon walked in as the coversation unfolded and frowned from what he heard. "I would hope our chief security officer woudn't need to have babysitter when it comes to a temper tantrum." He said before taking a seat. "She will be fine."

"Dismissed, Daniels. And that's not funny." Kyt muttered.

"I thought it was hilarious." Daniels said, as he left the briefing room.

Doctor Leanne Bowen walked in and stopped to look around, finding snacks and refreshments on one table. She smiled as she nodded her head to those already in the room. "Captain...Commander," she greeted. At the table, she picked up a small ceramic plate and added a bagel, grapes, and scrambled eggs to one side. After she picked up a glass of orange juice, she turned and picked an empty chair to sit in.

Tav entered the room, metallic mug, complete with black plastic lid, in hand. He looked as though someone had just interrupted an important task, but that was no different to any other occasion. Staff briefings were not his forte, repairing things and running engineering was. He nodded to the Captain and other officers present as he took a seat.

"Good...erm...morning?" he said, his voice raising slightly as he searched for a clock unsuccessfully.

Chichire walked in grabbed a cup of coffee eyed the pastries mouth watering. But she turned away back toward the crew and took the seat right across from Kyt.

Erin arrived next, looking like she had'nt slept in two days and clutching a coffee mug like it was the last thing on earth.
''Hello everyone.'' She mumbled, flopping down next to Chichire.

Noelle walked into the room with a cup of coffee and took in the surroundings "Good morning everyone." She said as she took a seat on the fringe of the group. Her primary goal was to listen.

Lieutenant Commander Preston Wexler entered the briefing room and moved towards the front of the room near Captain York. As they waited, he continued reading the latest sensor information gathered by Starfleet.

As soon as Wexler entered the room, Kyt muttered something about him being a no good son of a Romulan, but refrained from getting violent, or even standing up, and yelling at the man.

Preston, hearing the muttering, glanced back at the woman and told her she was the child of a Cardassian whore in perfect Bajoran.

Serena walked into the room with her daily dose of black coffee and a plate with a bagel and cream cheese. She sat down three seats down on the left side to were the Captain would sit. She looked at her fellow officer's before she indulged herself with her bagel and coffee.

Kyt, rather than getting violent, chuckled at the Bajoran jab. She sipped her coffee, and decided she might not have to get arrested for manslaughter, after all. "Lieutenant Junior Grade Kyt, Security." She said, nodding to Preston. In Bajoran, she added, "You stubborn cardassian whore."

Nodding slightly Preston felt as if he had gained basic respect from Kyt.

Kyt looked to Serena. "Do you have any idea how many calories are in that shlop on your pasty?" She asked, as if Serena were committing some kind of crime.

Swallowing her bagel she answered Kyt was a taste of sarcasium, "Wow Lt. I had no idea thanks for the information." Then she took another bit of her bagel and made a soft moaning sound as she was eating it.

"That's enough Lieutenant." Damon said with a sideways glance at Serena.

"As for you two," He said looking sharply at both Kyt and Preston. "Cut the language. If I hear either of you speak that way again, I will be handing down disciplinary actions. You won't be given another warning. Understood?"

"Frankly no Commander. It's not understood. You have an officer that mutters nasty comments under her breath and expect a guest to put up with such treatment? I find that fascinating considering the officer in question has a reputation for failing to adhere to common concepts of appropriate behavior. Apparently, fighting such conduct with admonishments hasn't worked. Instead of following the same failures, I opted to handle the situation in a fashion that informed the officer that I was clearly willing to go toe to toe with her or anyone else, and that she would be afforded the respect she afforded others. I consider the matter closed and handled prior to your entrance into our conversation, thus making your warning superfluous. But if you would like to continue to discuss the matter I will be more than happy to converse with you after the mission briefing." Preston smiled and patted the Commander on the shoulder as he moved away to retrieve a donut.

Noelle watched the by play that was going on between the officers and found it rather interesting to see how they interacted with each other.

Kyt had a zesty comment for Commander Raine, but she refrained, instead, chewing on her lower lip.
