Mission:
The Forests of Mythraeli
Location: Calypso Conference Room
Timeline: Current
[Calypso Conference Room]

Sam called her staff to a meeting to discuss the forest moon they'd discovered.
Sam set out a variety of pastries, juice and milk and took her seat to await the others.
Doctor Bowen walked into the Conference room with a smile. She was glad that she was free from any emergencies to be able to show up. Leanne was surprised that she showed up first along with the Captain. "Hello, Captain York. How are you?" She went to the table to pick up some sweets, a cup of milk, and a napkin.
"Very well. How are you doing, doctor?"
"Good. Thank you. Going to go take my seat, now..." She picked up another sweet roll.
Kahlaras walked in soon after the others. "Good day." he said as he sat down in a chair without grabbing anything.
Ensign Daniels had been sent to represent Security, while Lieutenant Junior Grade Lire argued loudly, and obnoxiously, over who should be running the department with another Lieutenant Junior Grade, three ensigns, and a Gunnery Sergeant. Daniel shook his head, and took a seat. "Ensign Daniels, representing security." Was all he said.
Leo walked in, nodding to the officers that were already there. Taking a seat, he stayed silent, not wanting to bring any sort of attention to himself what so ever.
Tovan stepped into the briefing room. He didn't say anything to anyone simply nodded to a few folks as he approached his chair and took a seat. He leaned back in the chair and looked at the PADD that he had carried in. He began reading what was on it until the briefing began.
Serena walked in with coffee in her hand, giving everyone a quivering smile and sat down next to someone. Taking a sip of her drink she waited for the meeting to begin.
Leanne turned and took her seat, nodding at a few people that just entered. She continued to eat and drink.
Erin arrived next, already cradling a cup of coffee. Grabbing a pastry, she sat down, greeting her fellow officers.
After entering the room, Damon was quick to make his way over to the pastry table and began raiding it. He missed breakfast so this would be his first "meal" of the day. He waved to Sam with a Danish before taking his seat.
Randall walked in, rubbing his eyes as he drank his raktajino. Last night had been rough and he had barely managed any sleep. Getting the fighters back to the way they should be had taken way too long last night. He sat right near the pastries, grabbing a couple and chowing down, before looking around to see who was already there.
Doctor Bowen wiped her mouth with a napkin as she finished her pastry and picked up the glass of orange juice, finishing it in seconds. She stood up and walked over to the replicator, having the machinery disposed the waste. Leanne returned to her seat and continued to wait for the others to arrive or when the Captain starts to speak.
Serena waved hi to all the members that she's already met yesterday with a big smile on her face. Then hoped the meeting was going be on the way soon.
Nava walked in a short time later and found a seat, she nodded to the others in the room and sipped the glass of water that she had been drinking when she had left her office.
Marek followed Nava by a few moments and stood behind Kahlaras, as he was the Chief Engineer. It was unclear to the Romulan why he was invited to the meeting considering he was a junior officer but orders were orders.
"Thank you for coming," Sam said. "Science has located an M-class moon orbiting the fourth planet in the Endor system. It appears uninhabited." A holographic 3-D image appeared above the table. First of the system, then the image slowly zoomed in to show the moon. "It's covered by a large forest covering the equatorial region. I'd like to send a team down to check it out. There may be some flora we haven't encountered before. Might be worth spending a day or two exploring. Lieutenant O'Connor, I'd like you to be on the team. Take Ensign Lister. For the rest of the team, I'm open for volunteers."
"I have too much paperwork to do, but I'll send a medical personnel to go with the team," Doctor Bowen said.
Ensign Daniels nodded. "Recommending a minimum of Two Security, or Marine equivalent officers to be on the away team. It may be uninhabited by sentient creatures, but 'uninhabited' is a misnomer. If it's inhabited, there is the possibility for danger. Best to have protection handy."
"Agreed," the Captain said.
Erin raised her head. ''I grew up on various planets, some of them jungle. I'd know the terrain and might be able to identify some of the useful or harmful flora or fauna.''
She shrugged, knowing that her position was not exactly one that usually went on away missions, but deciding to try it anyways.
"You might at that," Sam replied.
Leo looked over to Damon and nodded for the man to speak. If he wanted to send men down, that was his choice. Personally, Leo would just rather send the Security teams down and leave them there.
Not knowing what it entailed other then a new adventure, Serena quickly stated, "I know I'm not really supposed to fly shuttle crafts in my line of position. But I would be more then willing to take the away team down. Maybe do some exploring myself."
Leo looked at the woman and cocked a brow. He didn't know much about the woman, but made it his new mission to look at her file, as deeply as he could. "If it's alright with Major Raine, I'll go down too. But I want control over what Marines come down with us."
She seems green, Doctor Bowen thought as she looked at Serena and assumed that she is too new. "Um, Lieutenant Jones? I believe you haven't been to sickbay for your physical and I would suggest you get it done before you can go down to the planet." Leanne looked around the table, seeing a few averted their eyes from her. "As for any of you who hasn't had their physical up-to-date, I will flag you down. You never know what the unknown planets have in their atmosphere if they are breathable for us," She looked over at Leo, "that goes for your marines, too."
