| Personal History | Born on Seti Alpha 5 in 2330. Left Seti Alpha 5 when 10 then moved to one of the Klingon worlds. Planet Destroyed by a sneak romulan attack in 2348 almost didn�t survive. That is how he got the scar on his left cheek. After attack left Seti Alpha 5 and joined a freighter crew. Freighter was attacked by the Orion Pirates in the early 2350's. The ship was almost lost due to the attack but was averted thanks to the heroic efforts of Kahlaras. Who with his knowledge of tactical interfaces and weapon systems was able to boost the power output on the disruptors on the ship enough to where one hit would destroy the Orion ship. He fired the weapon striking its engineering section destroying the ship instantly but that firing of the modified weapon drained all the energy on the ship. They were adrift with no power and losing life support. Luckily the explosion was tracked by a federation ship an excelsior class starship the USS Defiant Registry NCC-1703. They were rescued but not before almost all the crew died aboard the cargo ship. Kahlaras was the sole survivor along with one more Klingon man who died shortly after arriving on board the Defiant due to space exposure from one a hull breech undetected by the crew. That�s why the majority of them died expect for two. This was Kahlars's first experience with humans. He somewhat liked them they may have had a weak exterior but inside the fire of honor was burning bright. He decided to stay on board the ship and applied for Federation citizenship. He was accepted on 2356. He then joined Starfleet Academy and majored in advanced Tactical systems. He graduated top of his class. The second Klingon to ever join Starfleet. Commander Worf was the first. His first commission was on board the USS Venture a small but fast ship. After serving on her for a year he transferred over to Starbase 23.Kahlaras then got tired of being on a Starbase all the time and then gave a transfer request to the captain of the Saratoga. He served on her for almost 10 years then Wolf 359 occurred. A lot of ships were destroyed including the Saratoga. Kahlaras barely made it to an Escape Pod. After many hours of being adrift the Enterprise-D Entered the sector and picked up the few pods that weren�t destroyed many crew were frozen in them though because the latches failed due to the speedy escape or they were too badly injured. Kahlaras was one of the lucky hundred from the Saratoga that survived out of the 500 that were on board. Kahlaras decided to take leave for a while and was able to go and see thing around the alpha quadrant. Deep Space 9, The Klingon Home world Qo�nos, the Vulcan Home world and its wondrous Monuments. Just about every sight to see. He had allotted of time since he hadn't used any leave he had almost a year of it. So he used more than half of it. when he finally grew tired of that life he put the uniform back on after his really long vacation in 2368 he put the uniform back on by this time now the Black and gray uniforms. He was offered a position on board the USS-Blackbird as a night shift tactical Officer. He accepted and was on the bridge at night while everyone else slept. One night the ship was running smoothly and then suddenly jolted. Everyone was thrown from their seats as the Red Alert Klaxons and lights begin to go off. Kahlaras lifted himself up to the console and read the sensors readouts. They had been hit by a disruptor Blast from the Breen. The Breen had reached the alpha quadrant and were in their sector. Immediately he scanned for them and found them. He had tried to contact the captain but there was no response. Then the Chief Tactical officer. Still nothing. Communications were down. Kahlaras then knew he had to take it upon himself to save she ship from these attackers. Another jolt rocked the ship but he didn�t fall this time. He Quickly brought up the Quantum Torpedoes and Phasers. He found the Breen ship, A Destroyer. Quickly he told the helmsman to bring the ship about and make it seem like a collision course. The helms officer did so. He then put phasers to full and armed all torpedoes. At the last second he told him to avert their course upward to avoid the ship but to where he had a good lock on their engines weapons and life support systems. He fired quickly and hit all three targets disabling the ship crippling it. As they came about the ship self destructed, probably to prevent prisoners. The ship sustained moderate damage and had to return to Starbase for repair but No lives had been lost and the worst injury was a broken arm. The Captain later requested to see Kahlaras and thanks him for a job well done in saving the ship and was given the Starfleet Meritorious Achievement Medal for saving the Galaxy Class ship and her crew. He then transferred over to the Artemis where he was demoted and then put as the Assistant Chief Engineer. When the Chief Engineer was promoted to second officer Kahlaras received the Promotion to Lieutenant and Chief Engineering Officer. After serving on Gladiator for some time as Chief Engineer Kahlaras transferred over to the USS Oberon to be the Chief Engineering officer where he was needed. When the Oberon was decommissioned and all crew sent to Obsidian colony Kahlaras applied for a transfer to a ship, feeling he was better needed on a starship rather than on a colony that's when he found the USS Athena needed a Chief Engineer. He applied for the position and got it on board the USS Athena. After a while Kahlaras felt he outgrew his worth on the former Athena turned Paladin, and applied for the position of Chief Engineer on board the USS Calypso where he was accepted. | |
