Mission: Peace, or Something Like It
Location: Calypso/Merc Ship
Timeline: Current

[Mercenary Ship]

[Bridge Team]

Leo tapped the Corporal on the shoulder and began to move down the halls. The people on the ship numbered in the hundreds, and he'd most likely have to fight his way into, and onto the bridge. It wasn't going to be a fun day. "How you holding up Corporal?"

Chichire had her weapon up as soon as they boarded the merc ship keeping her TR and sling the rifle the LT gave here ."I'm alive sir do you have a plan or I'm I just going to shoot and stun/kill anything that get even close to you" chi said still keeping security.

"Shoot to kill Corporal, and I do believe I ordered you to leave the TR behind before we came over here," he said, spotting the barrel out of the corner of his eye. "But right now, we have to make it to the bridge." Stepping his pace up he began almost jogging down the halls, scanning as he went. No doors were on the walls and everything seemed smooth. "Once we get home, we'll talk about the insubordination."

Signaling his artificer up, the man moved forward and looked at the door that came to block their way. "Do you want a shape charge, or do you want me to hack it?" Leo thought for a second and smiled. "Save your charges, we'll blow the bridge, hack the door, move to the side." Signaling his unit to fan out he waited as the artificer hacked into the mainframe and the door opened. "They don't know we're here either Lieutenant." Leo nodded and took point as they moved further into the ship. Ten long minutes later they heard what sounded like chatter, except it wasn't theirs. -^-INCOMING!-^- Leo heard in his ear from Trent and cussed. Grabbing what ever cover they could, they waited for the disruptor fire to begin.

"Hop scotch," he said back to his team. Taking the signal, they moved from cover point to cover point, always with a weapon forward, or behind for those in the back. There seemed to be nothing that was even close to them, but they could hear the fire through the comms. As much as he wanted to rush to his men's help, he couldn't and he hated the fact. "If we hear man down, we're going to help them got it?" The faces behind him were stern, some even hopeful. "And Major Raine will have to grab the bridge."

[Engineering Team]

Maxwell moved closer to Kara who was supposedly suppose to be in charge of the team hitting Engineering. This plan wasn't very sound to him, but he followed orders for now.

"Yea, I know," she said, noting Maxwell's expression. "But you know the motto improvise, adapt, overcome."

"I'm a particular fan of that last one." Trent chipped in quetly from behind the rest of the group. He was currently walking backwards as his eyes scanned the hallway behind them for potential threats. His eyes occasionally looked up at the blue lights blinking in the otherwise darkened hallway.

"Hey do you guys think those blue lights are on to signify that they have been boarded?" Trent was thinking of the red lights that would be flashing on any Starfleet vessel.

Maxwell didn't say anything. He adjusted his grip on the rifle as he moved along with the rest of his team. Surprisingly enough up to this point they haven't come up against anyone. It seemed that the crew was too busy dealing with the fighters outside. A good distraction.

"If they are," Kara said, "then we'd better move quickly." She looked to Tate. "My team is first rate. We have all we need to do our job once we get there. It's the getting there that's in question."

She gave her team a few hand signals to tell them to keep on their toes as they hurried towards engineering. She stopped at a terminal and called in one of her team to hack into the computer and check on their location.

"Right twenty yards, left at the second corridor. Third door to the right. So far they don't know we're here," the corporal said.

Trent thought it was odd that they hadn't been discovered yet. It was possible that the fighters were really doing that good a job of keeping the attention divided elsewhere.

As the group started making their way to engineering the Marine thought he spotted something in the distance that made him slow his pace. Trent didn't let them know that he slowed and the main group began pulling away.

Just beyond the bend a shadow moved across the wall and Trent slowly brought up his weapon to follow its advance. His TR's sight was lined up and the stock was buried into his shoulder like he had done hundreds of times before. Sensing his vulnerability in this position, he moved his body into a shadow and dropped to one knee as he quietly flicked off the light on his weapon. Darkness instantly enveloped him.

Out of the bend quietly emerged a slinking form followed by two more, then three, soon the whole hallway was filled with mercenaries. Each one of their weapons were up ready to engage at a moments notice as they slinked towards the Marine's exposed flank.

~Well aren't they sneaky~ Trent thought. The mercenaries kept quiet about how much they knew of what was going on in their ship; they were trying to get the drop on him and his squad.

He waited patiently for them to move in closer, it was a gambit to be sure, but it would throw them off their game. He suddenly wished he had told someone he was stopping as it seemed the rest of his group had moved on down the hallway without him. They weren't far, but far enough that he wouldn't have fire support for a few seconds.
