Mission:
Broken Mirror
Location: Briefing Room
[PREVIOUSLY]
Damion raised a brow before grabbing Remy's uniform and holding him against the wall. "Are you threatening my family, you little-"
"Think clearly, Commander." Remy began as he was held up against the wall. "You were an Intelligence Officer. You know the value of information and how, often, that information could prove paramount to the success of a mission. It's why we do what we do. The right Intel could prove lifesaving. Can you honestly stand there and tell me that information like that couldn't prove useful in this situation?"

Damion clenched his fist as he held the little Chief's uniform. He knew he was right, to a degree. Knowing how that device worked could prove helpful when dealing with the ship. It could be used to figure out a way to prevent their escape, but it also went against the Captain's orders once this was first brought up and her orders were firm.
Running slightly behind schedule was becoming something of a habit for Danny and as the Marine made his way to another briefing, it was not one that he particularly enjoyed but there had been plenty of organizing needed among the ship's detachment and for someone unused to such tasks, less time to get it all done than he would have liked.
Rye's attention entirely distracted by the PADD in his grasp as he made a relatively poor attempt to multitask on his way to the briefing room, he let the device drop to the floor as he almost walked clear into the ship's security chief holding tight onto its head of Intelligence, "Woah," He called out instinctively, wrapping an arm around Damion's waist and pulling him away from Remy, breaking one's grasp on the other in the process.
"Not quite sure what's going on," He couldn't hide a bemused smile, "If you wanna fight someone, we can go down to the holodeck, but it's probably a good idea to wait 'til after?" He gestured toward the briefing room a little further ahead of the three of them.
"Right?" Rye glanced toward Remy before letting his line of sight settle on Damion's.
Damion was pulled away, which was most likely a good thing, as he looked over to Rye with anger in his eyes. Not due to the Marine CO stopping him, but because he was still fuming, so he took a moment to step back and breathe. After a few seconds he looked to Rye and nodded in agreement before looking down toward Remy. "Don't you ever... EVER... use my family to make one of your points again. Hear me? Because I don't care how good your team is or who we both know. I'll have you thrown off this ship so fast you won't have time to debate the issue. My family is not your leverage."
Remy looked up at the Marine CO, then to Damion, before straightening his uniform and reluctantly nodding his head. "Noted, but it doesn't stop mean my point-"
"It's done, Remy. No more discussing it. The decision was made and it was turned down. If you keep pushing the issue I'll request the Captain toss you in the brig. Got me?"
"Commander-
Damion cut him off again. "Do I make myself clear?"
Remy took a second before nodding his head. "Yes. Clear."
"Now... get the hell in there." He gestured to the doors and put his hands and crossed his arms over his chest. Once Remy had made it inside he looked over to Rye and nodded his head. "Thank you, Marine. If you hadn't come along..." He stopped mid-sentence before clearing his throat and adding. "I don't know what would have happened, but I am sure it wouldn't have been good for my career."
"Yeah," Rye spoke before taking a moment to ponder his next words. Considering asking precisely what had occurred before his arrival, Danny decided against it - there would be a better time later he was certain - and instead gave the Calypso's security chief a pat on the shoulder, "Any time. Shall we?" He gestured toward the briefing room door.
---===[Inside the Briefing Room]===---
Remy entered the Briefing room and took a seat by Jayna. He looked a bit shaken, but did his best to ignore it as looked around the table and nodded to the others. Making a point to greet the new XO with a nod as well.
The half-Vulcan raised an eyebrow, wondering what happened, but the briefing was not a place to ask. That she would reserve for later. In private.
Sam wasn't sure what happened, but she could feel Remy's agitation. She hoped this wasn't going to lead to another argument during the briefing. "Welcome," she said to the new arrivals.
Slipping in a few moments after the Intelligence operative, Aenar frowned at the man's body language. He hadn't caught the conversation between the shorter man and Damion, but he could tell there was something that had agitated him somewhat.
Hefting a large mug of a novel Bajoran coffee - strong and chocolatey - he greeted the rest of the officers there before taking his seat.
Kara was running a bit late, but she wanted to be part of this briefing. She had full confidence in Captain Rye, but she wanted to know what was going on in case he needed her to help with anything. Plus, she was curious. She quietly took a seat at the table and waited.
Damion came into the Briefing and avoided eye contact for a while. He proceeded right to the replicator for a coffee before heading to an open seat. It was when he sat down he finally looked up and nodded to everyone else, but Remy.
Following Damion into the room and offering a friendly smile to anybody who happened to catch his eye, Danny took the final seat.
When everyone had arrived, Sam stood. "I'd like you to meet Commander Alexander Knight and some of his team. They work with covert operations and will be responsible for all information pertaining to the Terran Empire and any relating information or technology."
Alex nodded his head at everyone before gesturing to Alora. "My wife, and second in command, Alora Knight. Also a Commander so, I know it’s not really protocol, but you can refer to me as Alex." He gestured to John. "This is Lieutenant Mackey. He's my other hand." He paused for a moment before adding. "And, so as to make sure everything is on the table: Both John, myself, and a few members of my team are from the Alternate Universe and former members of the Terran Empire. We hold no loyalty to them anymore. We cut all ties and become members of resistance fighters before coming to this Universe and being offered positions in Starfleet. These uniforms, and the Federation, are who we stand by now."
"Since we are talking about putting everything on the table then exactly how much information are you going to be giving us and how much will you be holding back?" Remy asked.
Alex looked to Sam, then to Alora, before smiling at Remy. "You must be Lieutenant Batiste."
"I am hard to miss." Remy countered. "I am the smallest officer in the room."
"I don't care about your height, Mister Batiste. You wear the uniform so you, and everyone else, already has my respect. I've seen men and woman just about your height have as much, if not more, heart than most so there is no need for me to hold that against you. And, in answer to your question, we plan on revealing everything to your Captain. She decides how much to give you all and what will be relevant. I have no intention of holding anything back that may be considered dangerous or harmful to any of you. However, just like you Mister Batiste, any information that's not relevant to our mission has no place here."
