Mission:
Shadow Dance
Location: Conference Room, Calypso
Timeline: Day 4, evening
ON
As soon as Sam returned to the Calypso, she called an emergency meeting of her senior staff. The trip to Jenefra to present the evidence to Keelan and Jennifer had not gone as planned and she wanted feedback from the others to determine the best course of action to restore Kali to the throne and get Jennifer back on board.
MUnich was in the XO chair when the meeting was called by York. He took it upon himself to get the yeoman to set up the room while he monitored the situation of orbital vessels. Should the situation change much the alignment of the Homeworld attack vessels would be according to the whims of Keelan. Though it is unlikely he would be stupid enough to try and attack the Vastly superior Calypso. But the evidence would be quite a shake up.
"Da conference room is waiting you Commadore." Munich transmit to the Commanding Officer. "I am securing Da bridge and vill meet you dere."
The Communications Officer was of high enough rank to be the next highest on the bridge. He assigned Lt. Milko as Officer of the Deck and given strict orders to call if there is 'anything' that changes.
With this he moved off the bridge to meet with York and the Senior Staff.
Leroy had been traveling at Warp when he had recieved the message. Breaking out, he put his shuttle in an orbit above Charon the moon of Pluto. Linking up to the Calypso, he knew there was going to be a slight delay. That was the curse of such long distance communications, but he wanted to be there for the crew. Part of the back wall lit up and showed Leroy in orbit around the small moon. "Morning Calypso."
"Morning, lieutenant," Sam replied. "Thank you for joining us."
"Not a problem Captain," Leroy said after a pause. This was going to annoy him rather quickly. "Remind me at the end of the meeting to ask if anyone wants me to drop by loved ones houses and tell them they're alright. But it's nice being back in the solar system."
Sam nodded. "Will do. Don't forget to take some time yourself to enjoy your stay and visit family."
"I'm sure the families would appreciate that gesture Lieutenant" Cam said, entering the room along side Lilliana. "I'm sorry to do this now, I know this is an emergency meeting, but this is Lieutenant Lilliana Bourne, my sister and once whatever this meeting is about is concluded, she will also be my replacement as Marine CO" he announced
Stepping forward, Lilliana nodded to those who had already arrived, "hello" she said simply
"Nothing like being thrown in at the deep end," Sam said, nodding to the two new arrivals. "Have a seat, both of you."
Commander Alexandra Vance entered the meeting as the representative for Starfleet Intelligence. She had observed what had transpired, now prepared to provide a brief on the current status of Jennifer Tate. She remained silent as she took a seat.
Leroy was motionless for a moment before he spoke. "It's not so bad to be thrown to the wolves. At least you didn't have to evidently come back from the dead to do so." Smiling with a chuckle, the voice muted as he was seen answering some call or another, then nodding. "Evidently I can't just orbit Charon. I'll be moving to Mars."
"I'll keep that in mind if I ever need to loiter around Charon," Sam said with a chuckle. She wondered what Alexandra ad to say about Tate that she herself didn't already know.
Kalikana walked in and took a seat at the table. She nodded to Sam, but otherwise said nothing.
Orvack soon followed behind Kali, taking a seat by her, and pausing to look around at everyone currently there. His face showed no emotion and he also said nothing.
Damion walked into the briefing, secretly followed by the Capuchin Spock. The small monkey was trailing Wolfe for quite some time before finally reaching his destination as he carried a small PADD in both hands. Once the man walking into the briefing, Spock ran across the floor and stopped under the table to have a rest.
Damion took his seat, taking a second to look around and nodding at everyone before getting comfortable. After the last few days, he was ready for all this to finally come to a close and spend some time with Ronnie.
Spock, after finally gathering his breaths, picked up the PADD and leaped onto a chair. He leaped a second time, onto the table and scurried over to Sam, placing the small PADD in front of her before sitting down with a playful chirp.
On the PADD was a transcript of the current members of the Intelligence team of the Calypso. Remy was bound to his quarters until further notice. Logan was still in sickbay, with Jayna at his side. This left Spock, the Capuchin and registered Infiltration Officer, the only official member of the department to appear at the briefing. There was also a note at the bottom that Spock, being the only available member, was also responsible for making any decisions that involved Intel followed by Admiral Hunter's official signature. This of course was always meant as a joke which neither he, nor Remy, ever saw coming to pass when it was written up.
Well, with the way things were going right now, having a monkey in charge of Intel seemed oddly appropriate to Sam. She read over the PADD and nodded. "Duly noted. Thank you, Spock."
"Hey, get off the table." Damion said, shooing the Capuchin, who only moved closer to Sam, hugging her arm tightly.
Sam smiled down at the monkey. "You can stay by me, but you should take a seat like everyone else."
Munich entered and moved to his place beside the Commanding Officer.
Illise came into the room, paused when she saw the Capuchin on the table, then took a seat. She looked around at the other members gathered for the meeting, eventually coming back to Spock. Despite the serious nature of the topic to be discussed, she couldn't help but be amused by his role today.
Arnon entered and took a seat.
When everyone had arrived, Sam began. "If you haven't heard already, the meeting with Keelan did not go as planned. There was a bit of an altercation and I beamed Kalikana and Orvack back to the ship for their protection.
