Mission: Of Gods and Men

Yui yawned as the end of her shift was coming up. So far the Calypso had been flying well and everything had been working fine with the engines. She was about to log off for her shift when something came up on her console.
"Oh thats new" she said as she pulled up a diagnostic. Apparently one of the RCS thrusters on the port side of the saucer was experiencing a malfunction. "I should just take it offline" she muttered as she tapped away at the console.
Suddenly her console began to beep and the stars on the viewscreen began to roll to one side.
"Uh oh" she said as several warning klaxons began to sound out. The ship began to shake.
"Commander" Yui said as she tried to regain control of the Calypso. "It appears our Portside RCS thrusters are malfunctioing. We're doing a Warp Drive Barrel Roll..." Yui explained as the stars began to circle on the viewscreen.
"Are Ve on course und can you get da problem taken care of?" Munich said calmly as he deactivate the view screen. "Please proceed."
"Yeah..." Yui said checking her reasons. "I can try and stabalise it for now" she added as her fingers tapped across the console.
Maria picked herself up off the floor and took her seat, quickly running a scan to make sure there wasn't anything out there to worry about.
"Are you okay Ensign Delgado?" Munich asked with the same tone he had kept for his command style.
"I just hurt my pride," she replied. "Está bien."
Munich nod to the Science Officer and turned to the Helm. "Set the course I outlined to approach in the shadow of the planets as a shield from that Pulse cannon weapon's shots." He commanded. "We are an hour out from the Solar system, I want to be able to get in system undetected." He looked to OPS Officer. "Get a crew from Engineering to repair those thrusters before we get there."
"Yes Commander." Jones said from the OPS console. "Engineering Repair Teams to Port RCS thrusters." She said into the comm channels.
Chris frowned as he looked at the readings on the screen in front of him. "Already on it. Damage isn't too extensive, it'll take us two hours to repair them fully." Chris said. "Although I might be able to shave that time down."
"Ve Vill be in system long before that; estimating less than an hour to outer most planet, I believe our Helm might need them at that time or some way to compensate for them." Munich explained. "I trust you to have the ship ready by then?"
"We'll be ready," came the reply from Engineering.
Jennifer stepped through the turbo lift having just awoken from her sleep. She was still a little groggy but the hot shower had helped her shake off some of the fog. With a fresh new uniform, she was ready to begin preparations to get their team back. She walked down the ramp towards Munich. "Have we arrived at the planet?" she asked.
"We are enroute." Munich said. "It should be under an hour to the planet, we are approaching from the shadow side of the system to avoid detection." He looked up. "Your aid during the approach and such is always welcome and I hope to get in touch with the Fighters; hoping they are still in system and then when closer we can try the Landing Party."
[One hour later]
The ship dropped out of warp a short distance outside the Gekkaro system. "Sir," said the person at communications, "Detecting a Romulan Scout ship near the fighter pilots on Gekkaro IV. How do you want to proceed?"
Munich stood from the Captain's Chair; he looked over at the officer reporting the facts. He took a slow breath and loked to the OPS station.
"Open a hailing frequency." Munich Ordered.
"Channel open." Communications Officer ENsign Jennifer Stone replied as she did as instructed.
"Greetings this is Hans Munich commanding the United Star Ship Calypso, do you have any official business with our Scouting flight and their peaceful surveying of this star system?"
"Starship Calypso this is Commander Warek. We too are conducting a peaceful survey. We noticed a Federation presence in the system and wished to offer our assistance when we saw your vessel had suddenly disappeared. Seeing that our survey is complete, we will be returning to our system. Warek out." The Romulan Commander said ending the transmission.
Seconds later, the scout ship became cloaked and set course to leave the sector.
"Sir, the fighters are hailing us."
"Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes," Leroy's voice said over the comma. "But did you have to send our new playmates packing so quickly? On another note, you mind giving us an intercept course so we can come home and stock up? I'm a little tired of rations. I think the rest of the squad feels the same."
"Calypso to fighters. You're cleared for docking, I have shuttlebay crews waiting to assist with your craft. Come on home" Yui announced to them over the comm. She was relieved that they were safe, she didn't want anything to have happened to them, especially Leroy.
