Mission: Deadly Diplomacy
Location: Calypso

ON

Arnon heard phaser fire coming from somewhere in the corridors outside of Sick Bay. Not immediately outside, but not that far away either.

"Phasers please everyone," he said. "It appears we have company."

-Fighters-

Leroy looked around as the proximity warning started screaming at him. "Fighters! Launch launch launch! We've got company people." Punching the power into his Peregrine fighter, he made sure his own shields were in place before turning on the targeting sensors.

The backup fighter had been prepped and Phoenix was grateful to be back in the air. She jumped in her fighter and ran the launch sequence. All systems were green so she strapped herself in. "Base, I'm ready for launch."

[Marine Deck]

Kara took her squad and headed for Deck 12 to tacked the hostiles there. "Cam, I'll report in when I know what's going on," she promised before heading out at a fast trot with her team.

Cam nodded, "understood" he said quickly before turning to the remaining marines, "alright, we've got four decks to cover which works well for us. Alpha team has deck 12, Bravo team you take deck 15, take HAZMAT gear"

Allen nodded to the Captain and then turned to his squad. "You heard em, get your Bunnysuit's and close quarter combat gear." He reached for his combine before running with his squad to where the NBC suits were hanging.

"Charlie team you have deck 10, make sure to secure the Armoury, I don't want these intruders using our own gear against us"

"Yes, sir," Bosley replied. "You heard him," he barked. "We've got a job to do!" He and his team headed up the ramp and from there to deck 10.

"And finally Delta, you get deck 20. That deck had mainly crew quarters and cargo bays so make sure everyone down there stays in their quarters"

Sergeant Hernandez nodded, "yes Captain, we'll get things done"

"I'll be floating between the decks assisting where needed. Alright, let's show these guys they picked the wrong ship to screw with. Go!"

[Main Science Lab]

There was shouting in the corridor outside, punctuated with phaser fire and the occasional thud as someone slammed into a bulkhead. Illise had little hope that the fighting would remain on the other side of the doors. She looked back at her staff, recalling their personnel files. Only a few of them had combat experience outside of basic training. One woman gave her a frightened look.

"Alright, everyone arm yourselves." she said. There was a loud crash and the doors shuttered. Illise grabbed two phasers from a case and tossed one to an ensign, who caught it and pointed it at the door. The frightened woman let out a little scream and hid under her console.

Turning to another scientist Illise ordered him, "Go quickly to the secondary labs," she pointed towards the back of the room with the hand holding the phaser, "and take the others with you." He nodded and pulled the woman out from her hiding place and made for the labs.

Two others armed with phasers came forwards to take up defensive positions behind consoles and against bulkheads. Illise nodded her approval. The doors shook again from another impact then opened. Illise was standing in the middle of the lab, and dove quickly for cover.

[Bridge]

"Computer," Sam said. "Lock down Alpha 2, thumb print and sensor to allow access to bridge stations. Authorization Gamma Lima 3397-Delta."

"Authorization confirmed," the computer replied.

"Now, let's make sure they don't get to deck one," she said. "Everyone, take up defensive positions. Tactical, I want a tractor beam on that freighter so it can't move or shoot."

-Fighters -

Tucking his fighter into a tight aleron roll, Leroy, Vijay and Wedge were currently being chased by the enemy fighters. "So help me Phoenix, if you ask permission to launch and I become space dust, I'm possessing what ever child you end up giving birth to." Quickly turning around, a half loop, Leroy's fighter blasted away from his chasers, but not before being rocked by several hits. "How about this fighter wing auto scramble and get out here!"

"Promises, promises," she teased. "On my way," Phoenix said. She turned quickly and headed for the others, taking two enemy ships out as she did so. She quickly flipped her bird and hit the thrusters to draw a few more after her as she turned sharply and went around the Calypso to make another run.

[Chapel]

Ignatz felt about as useful as a wart on a frogs butt. With the ship on red alert, there was no chance of picking up anything. if they stormed the chapel, the best he could hope for is to get a single shot off before he got himself gunned down. Taking a deep breath and releasing it slowly, he fought the urge to leave a hand on his phaser and paid attention in case one of the people taking shelter in the chapel asked for something he could help with.

He'd set up a table that he'd filled with some of the formerly frozen pies, cakes, cookies and as sundry that his parisioners had given him over the past few months that had been well past what he needed, past even what he wanted and even into enough to make him waddle rather than walk if he'd been eating it up instead of storing it in favor of common sense.

"Excuse me Father Ignatz, but isn't that the cake I gave you over a month ago?" Asked a little old woman that had been doing some work in the Arboretum over the past few months.

"Why yes, something told me that there would be a need for it, and with all the donations the chapel gets, I couldn't possibly eat them all or they'd have to roll me to the pulpit." Ignatz smiled as he replied. "But if it helps, I'll eat a piece right now."

She smiled and cut a big piece for him.

Before she could plate it, he stopped her, "Please, not quite so much, as delicious as it looks, I don't want to fill up on cake before I eat any of the other food, just a foretaste of the feast to come, please."

She frowned a little, but cut the piece in half, then put it on the plate before he could protest further.
