Mission: Deadly Diplomacy

[CONTINUED]

[OLD]

She frowned a little, but cut the piece in half, then put it on the plate before he could protest further.

[NEW]

He gladly took a bite, then moaned a bit, "Delicious, yes, if you had given me that whole piece I would have eaten it all and ruined my appetite. Thank you."

Partly mollified, she wandered off to gossip with some of the other older ladies aboard the ship.

[Deck 20]

On deck 20, Sergeant Hernandez lead his squad down the corridors going from door to door securing each empty room and marking the doors with a chalk cross as they went. It wasn't until they reached the first cargo bay that they even encountered the intruders.

Bursting through the doors of the cargo bay, Delta squad took up defensive positions just inside the doors, "hey, scumbags, surrender now and we won't have to kick your asses"

A dozen armed men took cover behind crates and began to fire back.

[Charlie Platoon]

Bosley lead his squad to the armory where half a dozen armed men were cutting through the access panel to get into the room.

"Freeze!" Bosley called out. "Or we'll shoot."

Someone who had been hiding behind one of the men fired, killing one of the Marines.

The Marines returned fire. In short order, all seven intruders were dead. "Bosley to Bourne. We got 'em, but they got one of my men first. Going room by room now." It had ben far too easy and he wondered what was going on.

=^=Very good, secure the deck than report in=^=

"Yes, sir. Bosley out."

[Sick Bay]

Newmark had the 'intruder alert ringing in his head, the ship being boarded was a whole diffrent matter. There would be wounded and it is his job to heal those he could and also to protect them. A small 'guard' of Security came to the Sick Bay to hold the fort one might say.

"Get the Biobeds ready and check that all the emergency supplies are open and ready the replicator would be over worked if we do this bit by bit." Newmark started giving his orders. "I want personnel ready for the Triage." HE gave an assuring grin. "We have gone through drills and you all have been through this before, just do your job as trained and we can save lives." He nod to his staff. "In the mean time start using the replicators to get extra stock in the event we have to expand to a cargo bay."

This was going to get messy and Newmark did not like the idea of having to defend his patients but that was not an option. He strode into his office among the scurrying of people and took out his Phaser and clipped it to his belt, he just hoped he need not use it.

Arnon holstered a phaser and started helping with the arrangement of triage with a nurse and a corpsman.

"I think we wil be getting a srteady flow right quick according to the chatter on the comm channel." Newmark said as he continued directing the people in Sick Bay to the ready. "

Things were coming into order as the replicators remained on line they would not have to delve into the emergency supplies.

[Deck 12 Counseling Section]

Spartacus was only a counselor, not of all that much use at a time for combat; though it is said that in combat people need the most assurances but cannot get it, so Spartacus snatched a small belt she kept in her desk with a half dozen throwing knives. She had clearance for a phaser but her skill with one is questionable and they were vulgar as hell to her.

Leaving her Counseling Center she stayed closer to the wall, stepping lightly so not to make noise and looking in both directions as she made her way along the corridors to the nearest access panel. There were times when her fashion sense did get the better of her, and she ducked into it. She could not memorize the whole network as she used it so rarely, but as a precaution she did know the routing between counslor section and the Sick Bay. It was a short crawl thankfully and she only used this route to avoid conflicts along the way.

"She slowly unfastened the access panel and opened it so that the Security forces that might be watching the Sick Bay would have time to watch and not shoot, also if there were fighting she would know and close the access panel quick.

"Lieutenant Spartacus..." She called out and worked her way out of the Jeffery tube , placing the hatch back she twist in a way not to expose herself and came to her feet. "I-I was hoping to help in Sick Bay where I can be of use?"

A handsome male Security Officer nodded and Spartacus moved into the unattacked Sick Bay with a slight sigh of relief.

[Deck 12]

Kara and her platoon came out on Deck 12. "Spread out. Find them," she ordered. She wished Beckinsale was still with them. She went to the wall console and tapped in her override. "Computer, location of intruders on deck 12."

A dozen dots appeared in a clump. She tapped on the room and paused. Medical storage? What did they want from medical storage? "We'll come at them from two sides. Watch your backs, I don't trust them not to have a surprise or two waiting for us." They were too neatly clustered. Either they wanted something badly, or they were trying to pull the attention away from something else. Either way, she couldn't take any chances. She led her team around to flank the enemy and act as backup for the other team.

She heard weapons fire as she turned the corner, her own weapon at the ready. She dropped low and sighted in an enemy combatant. One shot went cleanly through the back, dropping the intruder. Behind her, three more shots were fired and three more enemy fell.

With Kara's other team firing, they cleared the corridor in short order. "Peters, check the room, make sure it's secured."

"Aye, ma'am," Peters replied, opening the already-unlocked room. He went in right and Johnson went in left.

While they searched the storage room the other team checked the bodies for identification and tagged them for transportation to sickbay.
