Mission: Deadly Diplomacy
[CONTINUED]
[OLD]
Munich used the OPS console to gain access to the Computer Linkage. The powers granted him as acting Executive Officer allowed him to switch the Helm controls remotely to the OPS station. WHile he was not a Helmsman he could compensate for the drift as the ship was angling out of orbital status, to an observer it resembled a sinking ship as the plane of the Orbit passed upward from the center line with the Calypso moving in the negitive Z azmuth.
"Come on you Svine of a Console..." His German accent coming out as Munich fought the 'manual overrides to get the ship to rise back to the Orbital altitude. "Ve are getting back into Orbit..." He told as he steadied the ship. "Cold someVone get a Helm replacement as Communications iz not da best to be doing dis."

[10-Forward]
Frost was in the middle of flinging more peas towards the view port when a hand clamped down on hers and a growl said. "Quit that." She released the spoon and looked up and smiled slightly and opened her mouth to apologize when it chimed and a disembodied voice called for her. She tapped her comm-badge "Be there shortly" She closed the signal and wondered why they hadn't contacted Sickbay, after all she had left the very capable EMH in charge.
[Bridge]
Pyotr ran onto the bridge. "Here!" he announced. He found an empty station and logged in to helm. "Orders?"
"Could you kindly get this ship back to a more stable orbit?" Munich suggested calmly. "Stabilize at minimum Transport distance."
Helga wasn't sure where Doctor Frost was, so she hurried to the bridge to see if she could be of assistance. "Oh my goodness, what happened?" she asked.
"Helm blew up."
Helga shook her head and began to triage Yui. "If the doctor does not arrive quickly, I will have to beam her down to sickbay."
[Fighters]
Phoenix locked her weapons on the alien ship. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Her computer beeped an incoming missile from the planet. "We've got enemy fire planetside," she said, taking evasive maneuvers. It didn't matter. The missile altered course to follow her. "They're smart missiles. Wedge, BoJay, I'm going to see if I can lose it in the atmosphere. Watch your six."
She dove towards the planet and skimmed along the surface, pleased to see the red glow of the atmosphere burning against her shields. If those missiles were heat-seekers, this would cause them to go seriously haywire.
One of the missiles blew up harmlessly behind her. Unfortunately, the second one hit her tail wing. She swore. "Beam me out of here, I've lost navigation."
Leroy swore savagely. "Bravo, keep that beast off me. Wedge, BoJay hit the tail of the ship. I got Phoenix." Tearing away from the formation, he kept an eye on the ship they had been flying at. It was armed to the gills and the shields were going to deflect a lot of damage. Dropping his shields as he streaked to Phoenix, he fired a burst.
He could tell her shields dropped as well as he locked on, depositing her in the seat behind him. "Nice to see you Lieutenant. But if you wanted to fly with the best all you had to do was ask."
Phoenix laughed, grateful to be back in a working fighter. "Sometimes a girl needs to get a guy's attention first." She grinned. "Thanks for the lift. I'll buy you a drink when we get back."
"Right now just worry about keeping an eye for anymore of those Damn missiles." Jabbing a button the shields snapped back into place, but they weren't going to be much use against a flight of Scorpion fighter v Surface to space missile. Putting the nose back towards the enemy ship, he noticed the phaser fire lancing off the unknown ship. "It's not doing anything... They know they could swat us like no see em's."
"So, why are they letting the fighters and whoever is on the planet fire at us when they could knock us out of the sky?" Phoenix asked. She monitored the ships as she thought. "Hey, what if that ship isn't firing because it doesn't want us to know what it really is?"
"Very real possibility, but it may not care about us," Leroy said as he tried scanning the vessel. "Its over powered for us, and it knows it." As he closed in, he sent out a cease fire, and a visual scan from all pilots. "Keep an eye out for weapons charging, I want to see if we find any distinguishing features."
"I have port high." Wedge said as he cut to the port side and above the vessel to get a good scan on the side and dorsal of the vessel, the ship had the shape of a large freighter but then it also had cleaner lines as he noticed the slight bulge near the sloped nose that had to be an over powered weapon; be it disruptor or Phaser type. "Do not get into the front Arc, large style phase cannon defiantly for a purpose." Wedge banked hard to stay out of that arc.
"I will check for tickle spots on the starboard side and the cute belly." Bojay slipped to the right side and cut downward when he spotted some unusual creases along the hull each side of the belly section. "Troop Transport style belly doors, these are larger and look to be hinged just right to drop open." A tail pod to give cover and a chin turret as well." Bojay banked hard. The belly is not a place you want to attack." He arced well shy of the firing angles.
[Bridge]
Frost hustled in and saw Helga there and guessed that they had called Sickbay after all. "What happened?" she asked as she knelt down and took out the tricorder from her pocket and started a scan.
"The helm console blew up," Helga informed her, stepping back for the doctor to take over.
"Looks like she hit her head, A nasty cut, perhaps a concussion. Thankfully nothing broken, we need a full scan." Frost put her hand on the woman's arm and before she tapped her combadge. She glanced at Helga and needed to recommend that she be promoted she was always right there when needed.
Frost hit her comm "Three to be sent to Sickbay, have a board ready Galen."
When Frost arrived in the Sickbay she turned to Galen, "Who is the Lieutenant's normal physician?"
"She just arrived on the ship," Helga replied. "She has no regular physician."
Frost raised her eyebrows but said nothing. She herself hadn't even known that a new helms person had arrived to the ship. She hadn't even barely had time to eat much less have personal time to visit the restroom. She helped get Yui onto a board and transferred her to a bio-bed. She was worried about a concussion or perhaps fractures that may have occurred when the woman was injured. Frost started the scan, afterwards when the results came back. She took out a hypo and pressed it to Yui's neck. She had administered pain reliever and something to wake her.
"Five... more... minutes..." Yui yawned as she awoke slowly. She wasn't too sure where she was, or why she was in some sort of pain. "Wait... I was flying... helm..." she said slightly confused.
Frost smiled warmly at the young woman as she patted the woman's arm slightly in comfort. "I think you'll live to fly this beast some more. But, lie still for a few minutes get your bearings. You will notice that you have a bump from a slight concussion. We've also repaired a contusion on your scalp, where the bump is." Frost turned to enter the data into Yui's medical file, which signified that she had hit her head in the occipital region on her scalp. That there were no broken bones, any where else. A few contusions the major one had been on her scalp. Frost left directions in the system that Yui was cleared to return to duty after her pain reliever started to work and she felt she could handle sitting up.
Yui managed to sit up and held her head in her hand. "Ouch, that really hurt" she said. The room was spinning for her, it made her feel a little dizzy. "Are the inertail dampners working, or is that just me?" she asked closing her eyes to stop everyone from shaking like leaves on a tree.
