Timeline: Immediately after "Into the Fire"

ON

Helga hurried over to Roberta to assess her situation. "How are you feeling dear?" she asked the semi-coherent officer.

Roberta's eyes opened and she stared into Helga's face. She grabbed her shouting, "You're not going to take my baby!"

"Hush. Nobody's going to take your baby," Helga assured her.

Doctor Frost turned from the EMH to the screaming amazon sized woman. She sighed softly as she spoke "Lieutenant Andrews, you are in sick bay. Can you try and focus a bit and tell me what happened?" Frost opened a storage drawer and searched for something to calm the woman, if needed. It had to be something that would not harm the part klingon child she carried. Who knew what was occurring hormonal wise with the woman.

Roberta looked at the Doctor and smiled, then grabbed her again. " Qovpatih!!! Do not try to deceive me !" Roberta looked around the room at the others, her eyes feverish looking. " You killed my husband when you held him prisoner - I won't let you kill our children!"

"Your husband?" Helga asked. "You were married before you met Mr. Lukk?"

She looked to Frost. "Doctor, do you know what she's talking about?"

Frost shook her head as she turned back towards Nurse Helga a small bottle in her hand for the hypo "No, I cannot say that I do, Mr. Korok is not like any klingon I've ever met. So, if he was married before he's never mentioned it during his physical therapy."

"I meant Lieutenant Andrews," Helga said. "She said we killed her husband. I simply wondered if she had a husband before and was having a flashback, or if she was delusional and is speaking of Mr. Lukk."

Doctor Frost stood there for a long moment in thought because she was pretty sure that Helga had asked her directly if she knew what Lieutenant Andrews was speaking of. "And if I recall correctly Korok, has Bajoran name." Frost stepped closer to the science officer, she looked a bit pale and yet flushed, she slid the hypo in her pocket and with drew her tricorder and started to scan the woman.

Lt. Andrews watched the Doctor operate her scanner. She took in a deep breath, and looked around. "Woah, how'd I end up in here?"

"Transporter" Dr. Frost said as she stated the obvious.

Galen watched the scene briefly. Her help was not required in this situation, as both Helga and Doctor Frost had it well in hand. It was only a few moments before other injured crewmen began entering, most with injuries caused by the explosion - cuts, contusions and minor concussions. Galen brought them to the other side of sickbay for treatment so as to give the women space.

Helga glanced over to the EMH, glad she was there to take up the slack.

Frost raised an eyebrow and said nothing as she continued her scans of Andrews. She noted hormonal levels, a little off, but nothing extra out of the ordinary. "Lieutenant, what was the last thing you ate?"

Adnrews put on her thinking cap. "Hmmm, something that Lukk had barely touched; at first it didn't look edible, but I took a nibble and it was delicious. They looked like cooked eels?"

Frost raised both her eyebrows up as she glanced from the tri-corder to Andrews. "When did you eat that?"

Andrews considered the question. "Umm, about an half hour before reporting to duty."

"Nurse has a regiment of vitamins and calcium supplements been started for the Lieutenant?" Frost queried as she continued to study the woman's vitals.

"Yes, doctor. At her first prenatal visit," Helga assured Frost.

Frost flashed one of her smiles at Helga "Thank you" The doctor turned to Lt. Andrews and set the tricorder in her pocket and pulled out an empty vial and attached it too the hypo. "I am going to take some blood and send it to the lab for analysis." She drew the blood and labeled it for a complete work up.

Andrews looked at the Doc as she drew the blood and then settled back down on the bed and sighed. "Lukk's gonna kill me."

Dr. Frost looked up from the PADD where she wrote her directions down and sent with the vial. She glanced at Andrews. "Why would you say that Lieutenant, many women have special circumstances occur during their first pregnancy. Things from higher hormones, iron deficiencies or many other numerous things. They are all treatable and generally nothing to be overly concerned about. So, a minor bout of dizziness is nothing out of the ordinary. But why don't you rest there a few more minutes until we are all sure that you are feeling quite alright."

Andrews settled back on the bed. "Works for me." She replied, "And thanks Doc."

Galen continued to treat the crewmen who came into the sickbay. At first there had been only minor injuries, but soon she began seeing some that were more serious. She treated these herself, letting the nurses take care of the minor ones. One woman had two broken ribs and was bleeding internally, having been thrown into a her console when a conduit ruptured near her station. She was helped in by a man with second degree burns to his neck and shoulder. Galen gave the man a hypo for the pain and directed one of the nurses to treat his burns, while she immediately prepped the woman for surgery. Galen looked around the sickbay, taking in the injured and the modicum of chaos that inevitably came with them. She was an Emergency Medical Hologram, and this was what she had be programmed to do.
