[OLD]

Stepping from behind Peter, Cam confirmed it was Kara and lowered his pistol, "sergeant, can you lead us to the others?" He said in his authoritative voice ~damn I'm glad you're alive~

"Trust me, so am I," she replied, catching his eye for a moment and smiling. She had to mentally chastise herself to keep from hugging Cam in front of his men. Get a grip, Marine! she ordered herself. "Yes, sir. This way."

"Nero wants us to soften her up a little more before she goes into the arena again." one guard said looking down to Amarylis whom lay heaped on the ground, barely clothed.

"I don't know why he doesn't just let us kill her." the other replied.

"Because the crowd doesn't want that, they want the killing in the arena!" the first guard exclaimed throwing his hands in the air. "But that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun before hand." he said with a sly grin on his face approaching Amarylis and rubbing his hands on her skin before tearing her rags off. Amarylis instinctively covered herself up to avoid shame.

"Come now deary, you gotta live a little before you die." the other guard cooed approaching her.

"Please, keep away from me. Don't touch me!" Amarylis growled trying desperately to back away fro her assailant.

"I promise sweetheart, this won't hurt a bit." the first guard said chuckling.

"You're right, it won't." Alexandra said coming from behind the guards tossing a throwing knife into each of the guards necks. Their faces filled with shock as their bodies lost all feeling collapsing them to the ground.

Alexandra stepped forward emerging from the darkness approaching Amarylis. She was curled up on the ground, tears filling her eyes as she continued to cover her unclothed body. She had several scars and bruises from past abuse. Vance's eyes instantly filled with tears, here she stood years later in the same place her friend had in the Cardassian prison. Not only did she share the images of her friend, she still had the images as a victim fresh in her mind.

Alexandra rushed over to Amarylis sitting down beside her friend gripping her tightly and placing her in her lap. Alexandra wrapped her arms tightly around Amarylis and rocked her back and forth kissing her on her forehead. "Shhhh. Shhhh, be calm. It's okay I've got you now."

Amarylis reciprocated the gesture by burying her face on Alexandra's chest. She wiped her tears on Alexandra's uniform. She felt calmer now, safe, tuned out from the clamour around her. She closed her eyes and her mind and allowed Alexandra to continue to calm her.

[Prison Cell]

Sam took Ignatz by the arm and led him over to the clean part of the cell. " Sit down. We don't have much food, but you're welcome to share."

Sam got him a chunk of bread and cup of water. After she handed the food to Ignatz she asked, "How long have you been here?"

"I don't know, long enough to drop from a pudgy priest into the emaciated one you see here now. Enough to acquire almost as many scars as I'd gotten in an the 20 odd year I spent in the negative universe." Ignatz replied.

"Well, you're welcome to come with us," she said.

"I didn't think you were going to leave me here." Ignatz said with a smile. "I wouldn't mind taking a ride till you reach a starbase so I can get a new posting. I doubt they held it for me when I went MIA. Hopefully they didn't put me down as AWOL."

"Probably not, but even if they did, we'll get it cleared up," Sam assured him.

The others had already left the cell. She turned to Ignatz. "Come on. Time to get out of here."

[Team Two]

The scout quickly led Bosley and his team into a large arena. Seats rose along one side facing a flat area. A Klingon stood in the center of the arena, looking a little worse for wear.

Roberta Andrews gazed into the arena. "Lukk! Is that you?!?" She shouted/questioned as she ran towards the figure.

Korok looked up at a voice that was familiar, he thought he was hallucinating, from lack of food and water and lost blood. "Here" He growled softly and limped forward.

Roberta raced for him and grabbed him with her arms to keep him from falling. "Oh Lukk, you're alive..and hurt.." She began to cry tears of joy and anguish.

Korok nodded his face somber. He squeezed her briefly "I will be fine" He wanted to just hold her and know that it wasn't a dream but he also knew that it was just a matter of time before the guards came. He did not want her captured and to go through what the Prophets would only know.

Roberta looked around, she smiled at Korok. "I brought you a present," She said holding up the Klingon Bat'leh.

Korok knew she meant well but blanched, it reminded him of things of old and it reminded him of the here and now. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead lightly, "Thank you" He growled hoarsely as he took it from her and turned and with all of his might threw it semi like a discus, it whipped through the air like a flying disk until it landed in Nero's chair and stuck into the back of it. "I don't think I need it any longer."

Roberta looked at Lukk and a smile cme to her face. "Ok, what ever's up ahead - we'll face together."

Korok looked at Roberta as they walked together, his arm was around her shoulder and he leaned on her for extra support and they held hands, he squeezed her hand lightly in reassurance to let her know he understood. The two of them had gone through a lot together, from warped witch hunts to loosing their Captain and adopted children and this, this was just another bump in the road. It would be interesting to see what happened next and if they would stay or leave this ship. Korok hoped he had a future here. He was excited about the life he could have at Bazinga's as he had an idea about it that he wanted to share with both the owners.
