"You can always give it back," Sam teased.
Cam pretended to think, "hm, tempting, but no"
[NEW]
Malcolm was leaning along the the edge of the upper deck looking down at the waves below. He had kept quiet and to himself during the ceremony. Now he was enjoying the "fresh air" whilst sipping on a bottle of whiskey he had brought on his own, he figured byob wouldn't be minded given the setting.
Amarylis had moved to the stern of the ship to a quiet corner taking a seat on some crates. She looked towards the sea watching the waves calming her mind from the thoughts of her turmoiled friend. Although she was concerned for Alexandra, she knew Vance could handle herself.
Robert was watching the festivity’s from the crow's nest he was impressed by the guy called shade if he heard right. The man was pretty good with his fire dancing it was about time to bring out his surprise .He reached into his jacket to pull out a small package of firework's that he made but just he had finished setting them up the other person was tapping him and pointing at what looked like clouds but as he looked closer with the scope on his old style rifle. “Those are not cloud's” he said to the pirate.
Suddenly the watch in the crow's nest called out, "Sails ho!"
Sam looked up and then turned in the direction of the watch. She had to grab a scope to see the ship barely visible on the horizon. After a moment she made out the Union Jack flapping in the breeze. This was not how she wanted to end her party. "Computer, remove the British ship."
There was no response from the computer.
Maybe it didn't understand her request? "Computer, freeze program."
Nothing.
"Computer, arch."
When that, too, brought no response from the computer she turned to the man at the helm. "Get us away from that ship!"
"But, Captain, she's riding low. It's been a while and she'd make a fine catch!"
"Not this time, Johnny. We've got guests. Raise sail and into safe harbor."
"Aye, aye, Captain," he said, obviously none too pleased.
Sam hurried off to quietly inform her crew of the problem.
Malcolm heard the commotion and looked around until he saw what it was about."Oh a ship, this should be interesting to be involved in. At least we have holodeck safeties so I can't get hurt." he thought to himself, he garnished a smile and carried about with what he was doing.
Hearing what was happening, Cam decided to spring into action. Pocketing his Lieutenants bars, Cam quickly turned to the Marines present, "Ok boys and girls, we've got a problem. As the CO said, we can't get out and we can't access the computer. For all we know the safeties arn't working, so for now we need to play the part. I want everyone armed with whatever weapons can be found or fashioned. Dismissed"
Shade looked down at the preforming equipment with a sad look in his eyes. Why did something always seem to happen right before he went for the fun and flashy stuff? Knoxking away the poi, staff and grabbing several bottles the "crew" had left scattered, he started pouring one third camp fuel, one third white kerosine and one third lamp fuel. He had more than enough. Four bottles sokn had rags stuffed in the tops from his shirt that he had pulled off. Scars and burns were visible, as he loomed up and smiled. "Anyone want a cocktail?" He said lining them up then grabbing a larger torch and setting it alight. Grabbing the lamp fuel, he seemed to be drinking it as his eyes narrowed at the ship that was approaching. Breathing through his nose he clicked the zippo closed and waited.
Even in the crow nest Robert was able to hear what was going on and upon hearing the situation he snapped into combat mode he started loading his rifle and his pistol and put aside the powder and bullets aside so he could quickly reload them when needed then he quickly set up his firework's to fire off toward the enemy. it should cause much damage but it should cause the enemy to panic and send the enemy crew into chaos.
Amarylis immediately approached York upon hearing of the problem. "Ma'am, if I understand you correctly, we cannot get out of this place?"
"No. I'm not sure what's going on, but the computer is unresponsive. I'm not even sure the safety protocols are in place," Sam confided.
Amarylis sighed. "Ma'am....the entire senior staff is in here.....all except...." she stammered looking over to Malcolm.
Sam thought for a moment and blinked. "Vance, Wolfe, Abbott and Lynx are on the bridge. Not all the senior staff is in here. Is Vance ready to be in command until we get out of here?"
"If I was the rest of the galaxy....I would avoid the Calypso right now." she replied uneasily.
Sam sighed. This was getting more complicated by the minute. "Yeah, me, too. So, any suggestions on how to get out of here?"
Amarylis shrugged. "When a computer decides to play coy with me I usually butt stroke it, but I don't see any panels anywhere."
"No. Without the arch we can't access any panels. We're stuck here until someone from the outside opens the doors."
Just then Sam heard the distinctive sound of cann fire. "All hands, man your stations! Load the cannons. Raise the flag. It looks like we'll have to turn and fight."
Kara turned to Shade. "It looks like I'll need some of your Molotov Cocktails."
