Mission: Subjugation
Location: Von Braun

[CONTINUED]

[OLD]

Jourdan had been trying to free herself continously but since the ship was so badly damaged it had been hard. However after days of digging through junk and partly destroyed crawlways she had finally reached the jeffries tube exit.

"If only the Chief Engineer of this Nova Class pile of junk wanted to show off his warp coils, I might not be in this mess!" she cursed as she started to cut through the door. Her tricorder was nearly dead, however it did tell her that the corridor behind has breathable air.

[NEW]

The door fell off with a thus and for the first time in days Jourdan stepped out into some fresher air. She didn't know what had happened, but she stepped over several dead bodies she knew that it was bad. She might be the only one alive on the ship.

"I need to contact the bridge" Jourdan said as she approached one of the wall consoles.

Luckily the Nacelle control room had an engineering kit so she managed to power up the console. She wasn't too happy at the damages that the console told her. Clicking off the panel she decided that getting some form of communications online was a priority.

"Looks like the comm system processors are fried" she said as she pulled off her comm adge and popped it open. She pulled out several wires and began to use her comm badge's internal systems to create a temporary wired comm link to a bridge console. She had to run the comm system through what was left of the ships circutory.

After an hour and half of fiddling and hoping she was ready.
"This is Lieutenant Jourdan Abbott, to anyone that can hear me. Can anyone hear me?" she asked. She didn't know where her voice was coming out, but according to the console she should be talking to the bridge or engineering.

:::Engineering:::

Alan was shocked to hear a voice come in over the comm systems, shocked and terrified. He gave the other two men a quick shot of a glance before racing over to the nearest console. "This is Sargeant Riley. Quickly, where are you?"

"I'm at the base of the warp nacelles. Who is in command of this ship?" Jourdan asked over her make shift comm system.

"Whose working on the computer core?" Marek asked Alan. "No one in particular," he answered Jourdan.

"I'm on my way to engineering" Jourdan said as she looked over towards one of the jeffries tubes.

"Be careful." Alan cautioned before the link went dead. "We still have no idea which areas are safe to travel through." He hoped that she would figure a way through the areas with oxygen in them.

=== Science ===

Without much of a science department, Maria Delgado took it upon herself to set things to rights. That took the first two weeks. The second were spent preparing and launching a probe that would be undetectable by most sensors. The last thing she wanted was whomever attacked them to find the probe and return.

She hadn't seen much of the Calypso Science Chief. He was busy doing other things which left her, the senior ranking scientist from the Von Braun crew, in charge -- more or less.

=== Engineering ===

Jourdan forced open the doors to Engineering to see it wrecked and badly damaged.
"Right then" she said. "Whats the situation, someone bring me upto speed and quickly" she ordered looking around at the handful of crew.

"There is no quickly." Alen said as he walked past her and shut the doors to prevent more heat loss. "What you see is about half of us. The others are resting in the arboretum; one of the only other areas on the entire ship with breathable air and heat...And that is almost a full time job to maintain."

===Arboretum Area===

"Ok...that works..." Anexa stuck her tongue out and then let out a curse as the panel in front of her burst into sparks. "Ok...that doesn't work..." Knowing THIS was the reason she hadn't gone into engineering, she was repairing equipment nonetheless. At least it was environmental equipment which she WAS somewhat familar with. With the hope of extending the habitable range of the arboretum further, she'd been working on this unit for two days and barely made a dent.

She turned and leaning against the wall, slid down and sat, resting her elbows on her knees. Rubbing her face merely made the grime spread from her hands to her face and she sighed. It had only been three weeks...or was it four weeks...ago that she'd reported to the Calypso. Re-routing to the Von Braun had happened almost immediately after checking in and it hadn't been long after that when she found herself hiding in Sickbay.

Thank goodness she DID know most of the medical equipment inside and out or she'd have been taken with most of the rest of the crew. Masking life signs wasn't always easy unless you knew a few rather unorthodox adjustments that one could make on tricorders. She'd remained in the conduit above Sickbay for over twenty four hours before venturing forth into the current mess of the Von Braun. Finding the remaining crew members that were aboard had taken nearly another week.

Feeling a vibration behind her, she looked up to see the panel's lights blinking in a pattern and stood in triumph. It WAS working! She cheered and looked around self-consciously at the empty deck. Feeling foolish, she stuck her hand inside the panel and began working on the second set of chips.

== Day 30 ==

Finally, the worst of the repairs were done. The ship wasn't ready to ffight, or fly very far, but they weren't likely to suffocate or starve. Now, to find help...
