| General Overview | While small of stature, dealing with both emergencies and common every day ailments along with nearly every humanoid type in Starfleet has taught her common sense and led to a commanding presence when needed to do her duties. Anexa does have trouble with authority when it comes to her patient’s welfare and doesn’t suffer fools easily. She tends to be independent while at the same time, needing people around her. Growing up, she was never truly alone and is still struggling with this issue after over ten years of being in Starfleet. Anexa does like to have a good time and has been known to throw one hell of a party when interested. In general, Anexa is easy going and fun to work with as long as the work gets done properly. She brings with her two parakeets and a cat named Montazuma. | |

| Personal History | Born on the Rio family's lands in Brazil, Anexa grew up as the youngest daughter in a close knit family with four older brothers. Her brothers were delighted when she was born and happily took her under their wing. Rather than being left behind, she was literally dragged along their various adventures. A large, extended family also allowed Anexa to grow up in an extremely supportive environment and feeling a part of a greater whole. Her interest in medicine began with the exposure to several indigenous 'medicine men' that were relatives. Discovering an aptitude that extended outside the core family artistic bent, she was encouraged to grow in whichever direction she needed to. She also gained an affinity to wildlife and had numerous pets growing up which ranged from horses to frogs to birds. Never without a furry, winged, or scaled friend in pocket or shoulder, Anexa continues to enjoy that connection to this day. |
