Mission: The Race for the Lost Treasure
Location: USS Calypso - Transporter Room

The Captain and the Commander had both left the vessel to visit the starbase. This meant that Lt. Commander Tovan was in charge of the vessel in their absence. He had received earlier in the day that a new Chief Counselor would be arriving aboard the vessel later that day. He took the time to examine her personal file then at the designated time headed down to transporter room.

He was a couple of minutes earlier. He nodded to the chief on duty at the moment. He looked down at his PADD reading the information on it. A few minutes later the chief informed him that it was the time and Tovan nodded to him to conduct the transport.

The blue-white sparkles faded and Sophia found herself on the arrival deck of the Calypso. She stepped forward, held out the PADD in her hand to the officer standing at the base of the system and said, "Lieutenant Sophia, reporting aboard."

Tovan grabbed the PADD from the Lieutenant. "Welcome aboard the Calypso. I am Lieutenant Commander Delon Tovan, Chief Operations Officers and also Second Officer." He motioned towards the door. "It's nice to finally get another counselor aboard the vessel. I'm sure the crew is looking forward to meeting you."

"Kind of you to say, Sir, but experience has taught me that it is highly unlikely." Sophia said with a smile.

Tovan nodded to her response. She had a very valid point. "Well either way Lieutenant, you are an important part of this crew now as I am sure you are already aware of." Tovan said as they stopped in front of the turbolift. "I do apologize that the Captain was not able to meet you but she is attending to some other business at the moment."

"I actually met the Captain about an hour ago on the station. She gave me a 'head's up' on the morale crisis the crew is dealing with."

Tovan nodded. "Well, in that case..." Tovan handed her a PADD. "I will let you get to work. The PADD has all the information you will need to settle in."

"Thank you." She said with a smile. "I'll make sure to put you on the bottom of the list for re-evaluations."

Tovan chuckled at the Lieutenant. "I'd prefer to be on top of that list. Rather get it done and over with then wait for the day to be tracked down."

"As you wish." Sophia answered with a smile. "Nothing beats a little initiative in my book."

"I look forward to our meeting then." Tovan said with a nod.

Sophia smiled, "At your convenience Commander."

Tovan nodded. "Good day, Lieutenant."
