Leo was again going against his doctors orders, and walking the halls. He needed to relax, and at the same time, work some of the muscles back into life. It wasn't going to be easy, but he was done caring what that uptight Vulcan thought. His healing process wasn't going to work if he got bed sores, and he wasn't going to just lie down, and make his men think he was on his death bed.

Commander Tovan had been busy these few last days. He was still attempting to catch up with all of the major reports; he had not even started on the minor things. A PADD in his hand he was reading as he was walking down the corridor. This was never a good idea. Especially in a semi-crowded corridor. He looked up just as he was about to walk straight into Captain Mangalla. He stopped himself and pulled back. "I'm sorry Captain, I should have been watching where I was going."

Leo smiled and clapped the mans shoulder. "Its alright Commander, whats so important you got lost down here in Marine country?" Looking around, he shook his head. "Don't you men have some work to do?"

"I have been gone for some time from the vessel and now I am attempting to catch up with everything that has been done in my absence." Tovan responded.

"Yea, I noticed that, you didn't even say good bye." Shrugging he smiled. "But I didn't really expect a fleeter to come down here to Marine Country."

"I suppose I didn't, but I was rushed a little bit." Tovan responded. "This section is still part of the ship and we are responsible for it." He smiled.

"Not always, but I'll take your word on that," Leo said with a small laugh. "We're just not used to it, since most Non Marines don't even bother to come see if we're alive when this deck is slammed."

"Well, that is about to change Captain." Tovan said.

Looking at the man, the confusion was evident on his face. "What do you mean?"

"I am currently drafting plans to make several improvements to the Marine areas." Tovan responded. "There are a several new modifications that Starfleet Engineering Corps is currently testing and if they should be approved you might see a lot of us more down here working on these modifications."

"What mods?" Leo asked sort of worried. He hadn't heard anything about it, and he wasn't too keen on such things. "I mean, shouldn't I at least be the first to know before you start moving crews in here to make 'modifications' to our area? You don't see us doing that, and I know of a few we could do to make not only the bridge more secure, but all the other decks we could be cut off from during a boarding."

"I can't honestly say too much about it as these modifications haven't been released yet and I really shouldn't be even telling you about this I am simply being proactive." Tovan said. "Don't worry, before anything happens to this area you will be told and of course your seal of approval will be needed I am just drafting plans for now."

"Don't yank my chain Tovan," Leo said looking him over and down the hall. "Come on, come in my office for a minute." Walking to the left, he tapped a command, a door sliding open. "Little ears are everywhere," he said with a chuckle.

Tovan grinned and followed the Captain to the office. He raised an eye brow at the ears comment.

"No one asks the Marines what they think," Leo said as the door closed. "They don't care what we think. We're first to go into the fight, last to know why we're going. We're used to it. What can you tell me?"

"Captain, this isn't an agenda against you or the Marines." Tovan began. "The only thing that I can tell you is that these upgrades or modifications won't only be made to the Marine area but several different areas across the ship."

Leo shook his head and sighed. "No ones going to ask for my sign off. I just want to know what to let my men know before it happens."

"Don't worry, you will know." Tovan said. "I promise to give you plenty of warning. Anyways, I must be heading now." Tovan nodded to the man and left the office.
