Kara and Melendez finished securing the secret room and decided to check the building across from it, in case there was a matching entrance there.

"Shintaku, Mangalia, we're checking out the building to the South."

"Roger got eyes on you chi out."

Noelle paused near the front of the building they were in and took in the surroundings for a moment, everything seemed quiet for the moment "Let's do a quick walk around, it's almost too quiet for my liking." She said looking over at Leroy.

Leo nodded, rubbing his broken hand. "Lets go Lieutenant, I agree."

Chi scanned the building the Leo was at the building had no people with in it but she still had a bad felling in her gut about it.

"Leo this is Chi just did a scan of the building there is no one in the building but I still have a bad gut feeling about it."

"Don't we all," Leo muttered, waving to his sniper. He still needed to do something, and he was getting antsy. Idle hands all that, but he knew something was going to go wrong, besides the fleetie going AWOL. "C'mon Lieutenant, let's get a move on."

Noelle nodded and followed along keeping her eyes open for anything out of the ordinary. She looked around carefully "I don't like this." She said "It smells of set up."

"It usually does out here," Leo said with a smile, walking forward. He wasn't being observant enough, and his foot caught on a trip wire. He didn't feel it as it broke free of the small explosive device, which detonated, tossing him to the side. Feeling his body slam into a wall, he crumpled without a secondary noise. His ears were ringing, and he couldn't feel anything below the shoulders.

Noelle felt the concussion of the explosion and quickly meeting the ground =^=Medic!=^=She yelled into her comm badge as she got back to her feet and hurried to where Leo was "Captain!" She yelled, her ears ringing from the explosion =^=The captain's down!=^= She said as she tried to assess Leo's injuries as best she could while keeping an eye on the surroundings.

[Melo and Melendez]

Kara and Helena walked slowly around the building directly behind their base camp. It looked nondescript from the outside, but so did all the buildings around here. With Lieutenant Tramira missing, everything had to be carefully inspected.

On closer inspection they found another secret opening across from the one they were using as a base camp. This one also opened into a tiny room. Empty this time. Except for another secret opening into the warehouse.

Kara looked at Helena. "I wonder how many buildings have these?"

"Far too many for my comfort!" Helena exclaimed. "Let's check out the warehouse and head back to base."

[Daniels, Stran, Tyler]

Stran stood, next to Tyler, observing the street below the roof, carefully.

"Hey, points, we've got some signal interference coming from the third building at 45 degrees." Daniels noted, looking up from his tricorder.

Tyler nodded. "Sounds like it's worth a looksee."

Stran carefully repositioned the wooden plank, and held it in place, as Daniels crossed from one roof to another. Tyler followed him, then they both held it still on the other side, for Stran to cross.

"I still can not believe you talked me into this." Stran said, to Daniels.

"I know." Daniels said with a chuckle.

[Melo and Melendez]

Kara and Helena found another hidden panel that led to a ladder. "Melo to Mangalia, this place has more secret openings than a fun house. We're investigating a ladder that may lead to a lookout. Melo out."

Kara nodded to Helena and began to climb.

Helena watched her climb the ladder and disappear. She waited for several moments more before she, too, mounted the ladder. She got to the top to see Melo looking through a small window of sorts under the eaves.

The room, if you could call it that, was less than two meters high and seemed to be an attic of some sort under the eaves of the building.

"There are eight of these. One on every side and one in each corner. It's a perfect place to keep a lookout. We need to station a Marine here," Kara said.

Kara again tapped her combadge. "Melo to Mangalia. This is a perfect place to station a lookout. Suggest you send someone over."

=^=Melo stand by. The Captain's been injured.=^= Noelle said louder than normal because of the ringing in her own ears.

Kara looked at Helena and swore. "Understood. Keep me informed, please. Melo out."

She quickly checked the room to make sure she hadn't missed anything then looked at Melendez. "Come on, let's get back to base and find out what's going on."
