Shuttlecraft Venus landed safetly into Cargo Bay one. After the engines were shut down, the doors opened and crewmembers walked out.

Doctor Wesley Valdez yawned at the entrance of the doorway and stepped out of Venus with his duffel bag over his shoulder. He glanced around as he walked through the Cargo Bay, noting how enormous the ship was. He looked back, seeing the Vulcan nurse was a few steps behind him. He personally doesn't know her, but got to know a little bit about her on the ride from Starbase 54. Wesley turned around and continued to the door to exit the Cargo Bay.

He headed to his new quarters, only staying for a few minutes to put his stuff down, and headed back out into the corridors.

As soon as he entered sickbay, he walked around to get familiar with his surroundings before he meets with his new boss. Big...but, big enough, he thought as he compared to the last ship that he was on. He has been a surgeon for awhile and he planned to continue his career as a surgeon/medical officer.

"Can I help you?" A nurse asked.

"No, I'm new here and taking a tour of this place before I meet with Doctor Bowen."

"You must be the new surgeon?"

He put his hand out for a handshake, "I'm Doctor Wesley Valdez...surgeon."

The young nurse smiled as she took his hand, "I'm Yvette Jaynes...nurse. Doctor Bowen is in her office if you would like to see her."

He released her hand. "Yes. Nice to meet you Miss Jaynes."

Yvette nodded, "same here." She watched him walk into the Chief Medical Officer's office, before she went back to work with a patient. A few minutes later, she found a Vulcan walking around observing just like the doctor did. That must be the new nurse, she thought as she finished up a few things with the patient. She went up to her, "I assume that you must be looking for Doctor Bowen?"

With no emotions, the Vulcan looked at her for a few seconds before she spoke. "I'm Laura Tay'ork and I'm going to be a nurse here."

Yvette smiled, "Nice to meet you. I'm Yvette Jaynes...nurse also. Um, I can give you a tour before you go see the Chief. A new doctor is seeing her right now."

"Please lead the way."

Seeing that the Vulcan prefers to explore sickbay, Yvette turned and walked around, knowing that the Vulcan was behind her. "We have enough biobeds here...operating room is back there...supplies are kept over there," she pointed across the room. "Cabnets at the back contains the first line of treatment and supplies."

Laura followed her, nodding. "Very logical and organized."

"Doctor Bowen prefers that we stay organized and prepared. As a matter of fact, she hates to be disorganized," Yvette said. She continued to give her the tour for a few minutes till it was time for Laura to visit the Chief.
