Mission: Prelude: Blowing away the Cobwebs
Location: Main Bridge
Timeline: MD-01 13.00hrs

"Attention on deck" All officers on the deck stood at attention as the Orions Captain Entered the bridge....

Sam was standing at the science station. She turned and stood at attention.

"I've just had our orders for departure" announced Montgomery, "I know we're not quite ready and we still need some more crew members but Jupiter needs this berth for an incoming ship and we can finish up back in the 9th fleet patrol ground. Department heads, please secure your stations and report ready for departure".

Sam sent a quick message to the science department, then checked to make sure everything was ready to go. "Science is ready, sir."

Nartu was already standing at his station, had checked with his department that morning, and was ready to go.

"Tactical prepped and ready to rumble…if that's necessary, I mean."


==Main Engineering==

Alex looked on, acknowledging the comm link. She then turned to her staff. "You heard the man people!"

She moved and sat at her console which was separated from the warp core area by a glass window. She looked over the status reports one last time and then tapped her comm badge.

"Engineering to Bridge. All systems and functions, as well as this department are ready for action."

==Bridge==

Chris's fingers darted around the control panel, "Flight control active, awaiting your command, Captain."

"Medical, Counseling, do you have everything you need?" asked Montgomery looking at the Officers sitting along the centre seating.

"Yes, sir. Everything is all set for sickbay," Doctor Bowen said.

Erin look at the captain from her station and said, "My department is squared away!"

Lieutenant Sheridan was comfortable in his chair, "Captain all stations manned and ready."

Leanne swallowed as she kept her eyes ahead at the view screen, waiting for the ship to take off. The clean smell of the bridge reminded her of a sterilized hospital she once did her rotations while in medical school. She is a little nervous being on the bridge. Her nerves will be calmed once she goes back to sickbay.

"Very well" said Montgomery rising from his seat, "Lieutenant Sheridan, release all docking clamps, "Mr Brooks, take us out, full impulse once we're clear of our moorings".

Sheridan leaned forward in his chair,"Helm you are free to maneuver."

"Aye Captain, firing aft thrusters." Chris replied as his fingers moved about his console.

"Clear of all moorings." Chris reported. "Heading, Captain?" Chris asked.

~ USS ORION, THIS IS JUPITER STATION. YOU ARE CLEAR ALL MOORINGS, SAFE PASSAGE TO YOU ALL~

"Thank you Jupiter Station, hope we won't see you for a while" said Montcomery taking his seat. "Lieutenant Brooks, take us back to Obsidian please, you know the way. Impulse power until the Engies say so..... Engage"

Orion swept away from the station perfectly smoothly. Interta dampers had been configured to the nanometer and so far, Orion was every inch the ship she should be, but only time would tell if the crew would live up to her high standards.
