"She is stable for now. I'll let him know, just go check on that patient and let Doctor Bowen know that I left to give a message."

[NEW]

"Yes, sir."

[Marine Barracks]

Doctor Jason Hart stuck his head into the office, "Lieutenant Mangalia? Leroy?"

Leo turned his head and nodded to the Doctor. "How can I help you Doc? Is the Corporal gonna be ok?"

"Yes, for now she is stable. I'd give it 24 to 48 hours to see how she does as it takes the body awhile to adjust." He happened to looked on his desk, finding his hand had some bruises. "Had a fight? You have some contusion on your right hand..."

"Yea, I hit a bulk head," Leo said to the doctor, placing his hands behind his back. "Just keep me informed Doc, thats all I ask. Is the CO back? It was kind of lonely here without Commander York to cheer us up." Reaching into his desk, he pulled out a bandage, and started wrapping his hand. "Anything else Doc? I have a debriefing to get to. Oh, and have you heard from Corporal Guntold? She never got to the briefing room."

He watched him wrap his hand, "I suggest you come to sickbay soon to get that fixed. I just heard some people in the corridors talking about the Captain, but I haven't seen her yet. It is good that she is back. No, I haven't heard from Corporal Guntold..." Jason shifted his feet.

Leo ignored the coming to Sickbay talk and shook his head. "Alright Doc, if there's any change in Chichire's condition, let me know. Thanks for keeping me informed, I'll let Damon know the next time I see him." Smiling half heatedly, he grabbed an empty padd and sighed. It was time for his debriefing, and letting his men sleep.

"Certainly," Jason said as he backed out of his office and left the Marine Department to head back to sickbay. Stubborn, like all the marines when it comes to injuries, he thought.

[Sickbay]

Chichire open here eyes the wound in here back still hurt but not as much, her whole body felt dead and it did not want to move.

"Hello is anyone there" chi said in a weak voice and just could not get louder for some reason "hello is anyone there" she tried again

She reached with all her remaining straight she had to hit her come badge, "Commander York this is chi, can you come to the med bay?".

The fourty-three year old nurse, Barbara Tarango returned to the biobed as soon as she heard someone. She immediately tapped her combadge, "Disregard that communication. My patient in sickbay is delirious and there is no need for you to come to sickbay...sorry for this interruption." She looked at Chichire with a frown, "First of all, it is Major Raine who is the acting commander. Our Commander Sinclair is in a coma here in sickbay. Second of all, you are going to lay back down and rest. We did closed up some of your wounds that were not serious," Barbara said, being serious with her. She picked up the hypospray from a nearby tray, "This is a sedative to help you sleep."

"Pleas wait on that" chi said weakly "I need to give the Commander York and Lt Leo my report on what happened on my end of the fight".

The nurse injected the contents of the medicine into her neck. "I expect you to rest...no need to get up and walk around as you are not discharged yet." She crossed her arms and waited till her patient falls sleep. "The report will have to wait," Barbara said as she continued to stand there, watching her face.

"No stop I said I need to tell" as she started fading in to sleep "da" she was out cold even her body went limp. All night there was only blackness that was her dream's".

Samantha walked out of the CMO's office and stopped in the doorway, watching the activity in the room for a moment. Doctor Bowen had updated her on Chichire's condition. Now, she just wanted to have a quick look to see how the Marine was doing.

She signaled to the nurse. "When will the Corporal be awake? She asked to speak with me."

Nurse Tarango turned as soon as she heard someone entered the area. "I just gave her a sedative. It will be a few hours as she needs her rest as she had major surgery. As soon as she wakes up, I'll call you, ma'am." She turned and sat down on a stool next to the biobed to monitor her vitals.

Leroy walked back into sickbay, shaking his hand. "Cap," he said gruffly, not realising who it was standing by the door. Stopping, he looked back, and half turned, having passed Sam by. "Captain?"

"Lieutenant?" Sam responded.

Leo looked the woman over and broke into a smile. "No one told me you were back Ma'am, that's why I said that, sorry." Looking to her collar, he smiled even wider. "And evidently someone higher up evidently figured you were the right woman for the job after all."

"Yes, I'm back," she said, returning his smile. "As for being the right woman for the job... we shall see."

"It's good to see you're back Ma'am. We all got kind of lonely without Mother looking over us," a smile broke across his lips and he set himself for either a slap or her berating him for the comment. "Hey Doc? I came back to get my hand checked!"

Doctor Hart looked over at them two chatting by the door and walked over to them. "Nice to see you, Comm-," he glanced at her pips, "Captain? Congrats." Jason nodded as he looked at Leo. "Glad to see you decided to come get that hand looked at."

"Thank you, doctor, Sam said. Then, looking at Leroy, she continued. "From what I've heard, it sounds more like you got into trouble."

While the doctor looked at Leroy's hand, Sam left sickbay. There was still a lot to get caught up on.
