[USS Calypso - Turbolift]

Morgan left the bridge. She was heading down to sensor analysis lab on deck 37 to talk to Chief Gates who was in process of reviewing the sensor data that they had collected. Her lip and forehead still cut from the fight previously in transporter room. Her head was also throbbing. She should have made a visit to sickbay but she didn't have time for that. She had things that she needed to do. She gently rubbed her forehead as the turbolift came to a stop. She didn't bother looking up but stepped back so the person can enter.

"Lieutenant Faye, are you alright?" Delon asked as he stepped into the lift. He had immediately noticed that she was rubbing her head. The lift doors closed behind him as he stood in front of her awaiting an answer.

She was surprised that it was him. She quickly dropped her hand down by her side and looked up at him nodding her head. "Yes, I'm fine." She responded with a smile. She honestly didn't want to hear that she should go to sickbay. She knew very well that she should but she didn't want too. She would eventually when she got a break in her schedule.

As soon as she lifted her head up Delon noticed the cuts on her lip and forehead. He knew immediately that she had not been to sickbay. "Lieutenant, why haven't you gone to sickbay to get those cuts taken care of...?"

Morgan sighed. She knew that this was coming. She had hoped that somehow he wouldn't notice. That he wouldn't say anything about it and that they would just stand there in the lift in silence until their destination. But she knew very well that it wouldn't happen like that. It never went like that. "I haven't had time sir."

"You should make the time, Morgan." Delon said in a softer voice than usual. He had almost ways had the professional tone with her. They always talked about work and nothing else but there was always something there between them that neither dares to acknowledge.

Morgan smiled as she heard him call her by her first name. It wasn't something he did often. This was probably only the second time that he used her first name and not her rank or last name. "I know I should but it's been hectic around here lately."

"I only say because I do care and not to mention it is Starfleet procedure." Delon added as he stepped in closer to her. He leaned in having a closer look at her cuts. He brought his hand up to her forehead gently running his finger by the cut. "That will scar if you don't get it taken care of and that would be a shame."

Morgan was speechless. He had never been so close to her before nor has he ever touched her in such a way. A shiver moved along her spin as she took a deep breath in. What was going on she wondered.

Delon looked at her and smiled. He stepped back and moved along side her. "So, where are you off to?"

She blinked a couple of times. What the hell just happened...? She asked herself as she turned to face him. "I am on my way to meet with Chief Gates; she should have some type of report by now on the sensor data that she has been analyzing."

Delon shook his head. "You are on your way to sickbay. Remember we don't want that cut to leave a scar on your forehead." He smiled at her briefly.

She was going to protest his decision but she knew very well that she would only end up losing the argument with him so she just nodded gently as she watched him. "Yes, I am on my way to sickbay." She said with a smile.

"Good, I will be heading down to the planet on an away mission with the security and marines in the morning. It seems that Major wants us to check out some sort of a civilian building in the area where we believe Commander York might be." Delon stated.

Morgan nodded. "Don't worry; I will take good care of the Operations department while you are away."

"I wasn't worried. I know that I can count on you." Delon looked at her without saying another word.

There was a moment there where the two of them just started at each other wondering who was going to make the next move. The better question was what exactly the next move to be made was. They didn't have that type of relationship or even friendship. Their relationship had been professional up to this point.

Just as Morgan was about to say something the lift stopped. She looked at the door as it opened than at Delon who already had half of his foot out the door.

"Well, this is me. I will see you in the morning before I leave on the away mission. Let me know what Chief Gates has discovered."

Morgan nodded and watched as he stepped out and the doors closed. She leaned on the wall and sighed. She had almost gotten weak in her knees. She didn't know what had just happened. She was more confused now than ever. It was simply too weird.
