Sam walked out of her ready room and took her seat on the bridge. They'd been on Vulcan for two months now getting the ship repaired and taking some much-needed shore leave. She'd even had time to get away for a week with Damon. But now it was time to get back into space.

"Lieutenant O'Donnell, inform the spacedock we're ready to depart on their orders."

"Yes Commodore." Replied Rosaleen as she opened a channel to Departure Control. After a brief exchange she closed the channel and turned back to the command chair. "We are cleared for departure, assigned lane Bravo Two Two Zero. All moorings and umbilicals are clear. Ship is fully operational on internal power. We are free and clear for operations."

"Thank you, lieutenant," Sam said. She then turned to Yui. "Lieutenant Hirasawa, prepare to take us out."

"Ready to head out on your order" Yui said from the helm. She had been itching to get back out into space.

Munich was in his Xo chair on the Bridge; the command to depart had been given and now he would have a chance to start doing his job.

"I want ship status." He ordered.

"All engines are rearing to go. We've got full power from all impulse and warp drives. And I have it under good authority that the Chief Flight Control Officer really really wants to get flying again..." Yui reported with a slightly cheeky smile.

Sam couldn't help smiling in return. She, too, was beginning to feel the excitement of launch.

"I believe I can relay a confirmed ready status in Medical." Newmaark was near the back of the Bridge being unobtrusive. "All Medical hard supply stores are stocked full; the special raw materials for certain medical item are topped off and the staff have all their training and are ready to receive but we hope to be quite bored this run." Newmark quipped with a grin.

T'Pral turned from the Engineering station at the back of the bridge, "Engineering reports ready," she stated. Dixon has done a fine job in her absence, and she was content to let her run the department locally while T'Pal liaised on the bridge. Now, their repairs that effectively constituted a Warp Core refit was complete and T'Pral was interested to see how it performed.

"Operations, Can you give me ship status, are we topped off and ready for da voyage?"

"Yes, Sir, we are set and ready to go." Shan said with a smile full of excitement and eagerness. They were finally leaving Vulcan, they were on a new ship with a clean slate, and she was ready to get to work. New ship, new mission, new beginning. She liked the sound of that.

"Communications Array fully operational." Jhosa said from her console.

"Science is ready," Ronnie said. It was her first stint on the bridge since the birth of the baby and she was excited and a little nervous.

The Executive Officer had been her previous Department head prior to his promotion. Truth is that Munich has a special place in his heart for the Comms Department and also keeps a Bird-Dog style observation of how Jhosa runs the department. Truth is she had little to change in succeeding him, Munich had left her a well oiled machine of a crew.

Repairs were completed and the system as well as the staff were ready for any actions.

"Very good. Take us out, lieutenant," Sam said to Yui.

The viewscreen showed Vulcan grow smaller. Then it switched to the front as the ship jumped to warp. It was good to be back in space.
