Mission: Shadow Dance

Damion and Tallas walked down the corridor, stopping just short of the briefing room. "How are the updates to the security codes coming?" He said as he looked over to Tallas.

"Uh.. fine. Both me and Jayna have come up with some pretty good ways to ensure what happened with the foreign program wont happen again." Tallas said softly as she crossed her arms than uncrossed them only to put them behind her back.

"Tallas? What's bothering you?" He asked softly, placing his hand on her shoulder.

Tallas looked away for a moment before looking back to Damion. "It's nothing. Just..." She sighed before adding. "Just we haven't heard from Max about... you know... my mom? I'm worried. That's all."

Damion smirked slightly as he replied. "I've know Max for quite a while and I can tell you that Max works at his own pace and just because it doesn't seem like he's on something, doesn't mean its not on his mind. Don't worry about it. Your mom is fine where she is and you have full clearance to go in and out of the brig to speak to her. It's time that you, and her, deserve."

"Okay. I just don't want to get to know her just to lose her all over again." Tallas said softly as her antennae shifted slightly. "Isn't there anything you can do to get her out of the brig? Maybe restrict her to quarters or something?"

He looked away for a moment before crossing his arms over his chest. "I'll tell you what. Let's go in there and deal with this briefing. Afterwards, I'll pull the Captain aside and speak to her privately about moving your mom to quarters. I can't promise anything."

"You'll do no such thing." Remy's said as he and Logan approached the other two outside the door. "It's very clear that Thy'las's crimes are extensive and to have her confined to quarters or giving her access to the ship is not only a security risk to this ship, but also its crew. I believe you're letting your personal feelings for the criminal affect your judgment as Chief of Security, Mister Wolfe."

"First off, Munchkin, my personal feelings for Thy'las are none of your business. Second, those crimes you speak off were done, by her, only because she was ordered to by Stryfe who was influencing the crew into thinking they were still working under Starfleet Intelligence." Damion said, taking a step forward toward Remy.

Remy looked him over before placing his arms behind his back. "Ignorance is no excuse, Mister Wolfe. She is still a criminal and must be treated as such. Her crimes should reflect her punishment. She should be satisfied that we still allow her the luxury of a bed and three meals a day. If you ask me, the brig is too good for her."

"Watch it, Remy. I don't care if you have your Cowardly Lion right beside you, because I have no problem kicking you butt down the yellow brick road and right back to Munchkin Land." Damion replied as he clenched his fists.

Remy looked over to Logan than took a step to Damion before letting out a sly smirk and speaking. "Yes, Mister Wolfe. Clearly, you're personal feelings have no influence over your judgement over the prisoner." He than walked passed the two and into the meetings room, taking his seat.

Damion looked over to Tallas for a moment before placing his hand on her hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. He knew the whole conversation wasn't something he wanted to have, especially in front of her, but at this point it couldn't be helped. "Come on, T. Lets go inside." He said softly before walking into the briefing room and finally taking his seat, trying his hardest to hold back his current state of mind.

Yui entered the briefing room, awake. It was obvious that she had been up for quite a while that morning, her hair was perfect and her uniform fit her curves rather well. She had obviously made effort this morning. She even walked right past all the food, fruit and the coffee. She walked right upto Leroy and stood directly to his left. She tapped him on the shoulder gently and it was obvious she was trying to hold emotions back.

"I... I heard... You're going somewhere?" she asked nervously. "I.... I...." she started to stumble slightly. "I don't want you to go...." she came out with.

"Captain, we'll be back in a minute," Leroy said softly before standing and wrapping his arm around her shoulder and gently leading her out of the conference room. "Hey," he said smiling and lifting her chin so they could see eye to eye. "It's only for a couple months and I'm doing some recruiting back on earth. Then I fly back and we see where this takes us. Or do you want to follow behind me?"

Sam nodded to Leroy. She wished the two well with their conversation, but then turned her focus back to the meeting.

Arnon smiled when he saw Leroy and Yui together. Obviously his prescription for Yui to have sex with someone had encouraged her to make a romantic connection with someone.

"I love it when a plan comes together!" Arnon thought to himself.

Munich came through the doors with a PADD in hand; nearly running over the Helmsman and the Flight Leader. It wasw not the most 'professional' method or setting by the expressions but Munich just cast the thoughts aside and continued to the chair beside York.

Ronnie and Kara came in together and found a seat. Ronnie generally preferred to stay in the lab and let Illise take care of attending meetings and taking care of the paperwork, but as assistants had been included, she was curious.

Kara was a last-minute addition as Cam was in the middle of an important call from SFMC Headquarters. She hoped he'd ben back in time for most of the meeting, but she would take copious notes, just in case.

"Sorry Ma'am I vas checking things and allowed the time to get avay. I wanted to make sure the main communications system vas up to par for this mission especially."

"Glad you could make it," Sam said. "You got her just in time."

When everyone had gathered, Sam stood. "When we arrive at Jenefra it is imperative that no one on the planet know that we're here to see Princess Kalikana. She asked that we keep her request confidential. The official reason for our visit is to meet with the King and his council to see how they stand on joining the Federation. We'll need to find a way to investigate the current instability and I will have a talk with the Princess."
