Mission: Point of View
ON
Jennifer had once again decided to take on a bridge shift to give relief to York and Munich. She still at this point did not know where she sat with either officer or even on this ship as a whole but her focus remained on finding Morat and ending her attacks on this ship. On the front, there was an eerie calm as both she and Jethro were left hopelessly waiting for her to reappear. The recent troubles on the Calypso had since been attributed to factors outside of their nemesis' MO. Whatever happened, she was not their culprit.
As such, Jennifer remained in the command chair until such a time one of the departments working on the problems could give her a report.
"Leroy to the bridge," the exhausted Wing Commander said as he buzzed the bridge yet again. "We're about dead out here. Shift change in progress, copy?"
"Acknowledged Master Sergeant, carry on." Jennifer replied to the Wing Commander.
Jae Drani was relieved at hearing the news of finally being relieved. This had been one hell of a coming aboard reception. First, she was threatened by the Wing Commander, then after over 12 hours of travel time, she was placed on an eight hour patrol. Twenty hours in the cockpit of a starfighter was pushing it for anyone. She couldn't wait to stand and stretch, and pass out on a nice soft rack. But first, she wanted to say hi to her big sis, Victoria.

[Fighter Bay]
Down in the fighter bay, Cam was keeping watch on everything that was happening. With this bay being the only vulnerable area on the ship, he wanted to be sure that it was as secure as possible without closing the doors. Although his marines had changed shifts at least three times now, he had remained down there coordinating his people.
Leroy watched as the two other fighters landed and four more launched. He wasn't staying indoors, but he needed fuel for himself. Landing he started climbing out and stopped. "Cam, what are you doing here?" He asked the Marine CO.
"We're here to make sure you fly boys don't bring back anything unwanted or unwelcome" Cam answered as he waved of one of his marines who was reporting in to him, "so don't pick up and hitchhikers, otherwise you'll have to put them back where you found them"
"Awe, but Dad that ones got beer!" Leroy said laughing. "Ignore the chainsaw." Climbing down the rest of the way he started to his office. "Cam, if you start needing a break my office is open to you guys, so's the cot in the back." Opening the office he grabbed a couple of packages of food along with some stimulants. "I'll be outside of you need anything." Tossing the food and stimulant drinks in the cockpit he climbed in after them, then a few minutes later launched.
Jae watched the Wing Commander launch again. If anything, he was dedicated, which Jae admired. Right now, she didn't even know where her quarters were, and wondering blindly through a Galaxy Class ship in the dark was foolish. So for now, she would stick to the fighter bay. She made her way to the maintenance office door, out of the way of the launch and ordnance loading crews, and sat down on the deck with her back against the bulkhead and removing her helmet and setting it beside her, she closed her eyes.
[Steam Engine]
Since she didn't need to be on the bridge, Sam decided to check on the steam engine. She wasn't sure if it was a beautiful thing, or yet another oddity of the Calypso, but she was happy to see it pass by on its journey around the saucer section. Normally, it was used for school trips and history lessons, but today, it was once again connected to engineering and powering life support.
Mara decided to speak with Sam. She followed her off the bridge. "Ma'am....steam engine...?" She said the words completely puzzled by what was happening.
"Yes. We...picked it up a few years ago," Sam replied with a humorous smile. "A wormhole. It sucked things from various times in Earth's past and spit them out near a large asteroid. It had a ring of socks around it." Sam shook her head. "Our engineer at the time asked to bring it aboard. We've used it once or twice to power life support, but mostly it does laps around the saucer section and takes children on rides."
"Engineering, report. How are we looking for power?" Came the voice of Lieutenant Commander Tate over the comm system.
Again there was no reply from engineering.
[Main Science Lab]
Fifteen decks and way to much crawling later, Illise finally opened the jefferies tube hatch in the Main Science Lab. She climbed out and stretched her back. "I hope the turbo lifts are back up..." she muttered under her breath, then added silently and not acting like a ride at an amusement park from hell.
Illise quickly scanned the room. The majority of the consoles where un-manned, while people dashed about with PADDs to and from one of the ilsolation labs. Through the glass she could see a large group of people moving briskly about a jumble of equipment that had been set up in the middle of the room. One man noticed her and quickly made his way over.
"Sir, it is good you are here." He motioned her to follow into the lab. "We haven't been able to contact the bridge."
"The main computer is malfunctioning. The Bridge is almost dark, very little is getting through up there." Illise told him.
"Yes, we've had some trouble here as well." He continued. "Jenkins was reviewing some readings from the external sensors, but the computer kept telling him that we had encountered a interplanetary chocolate chip vanilla cupcake..." He shook his head. "Others have been finding similar problems with the computer's analyses as well." They entered the lab stopped just short of the 'new' station. "Since this lab is isolated from the main computer we've assembled as much equipment as we could in here and started downloading data directly fro the sensors to external sources and running it ourselves."
Illise nodded, impressed with the set up. "Good work. What have you found?"
"That we need an expert in stellar phenomenon." He smirked and handed her a PADD. Illise took it and looked through the data. It was raw sensor data, but she thought she recognized some of the energy signatures displayed.
"Alright, let's start digging." Illise stepped up to a computer and began the tedious task of deciphering the puzzle before her.
