[OLD]

Nhallia rested a hand over his heart for a moment, not saying anything, just enjoying his closeness. "We really should go now, or we're going to be very late." She straightened and made sure her arm was comfortably wrapped in his then started toward the door.

[NEW]

"As you wish." He gave her.

[Holodeck of Party]

Newmark strode in while comfortably keeping pace with Nhallia; the Ball is still in the early stages when the couple entered. The Commadore seemed to be greeting people when they approached.

"Hello Commodore." Newmark began. "May I present my Beloved wife Nhallia."

Nhallia smiled and nodded. "Good evening, Commodore. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir."

"The pleasure is mine," Sam replied with a warm smile. "Please, call me Sam or ma'am. I am not overly fond of sir for females."

"Yes Ma'am." Nahallia smiledas she was tryingto be both polite andnot get that queezy feeling while n front of her CommandingOfficer.

Maria entered the room, dressed as a Flamenco dancer and walked over to the bar to greet the others.

Kara arrived just after she did, dressed as Jeane d'Arc. She admired the ancient warrior for her courage and skill.

Walking in, Cam looked around at all the costumes and smiled, recognising some of them. He was dressed as one of the three musketeers, Athos, feathered hat and all.

Kara sensed Cam enter the room and turned, smiling at how well his costume suited him. She waved to him so he would know where she was.

Seeing Kara wave at him, Cam stayed in character and instead of waving back, he tipped his hat in her direction before making his way over to her, "Lady Joan of Arc, I was unaware there would be religious figures in attendance" he said as he took her hand and gently kissed the back of it "Vive la France"

Kara smiled. "Monsieur Comte de la Fére," she said, nodding to the Musketeer. "It is indeed an honor."

Standing up straight, Cam smiled, "is it wrong to find you incredibly attractive in armour?"

"I hope not," Kara replied coquettishly. "Because I find that I cannot keep my eyes from you, Monsieur. I hold the Musketeers in high regard."

"I am honoured to recieve such praise from the Maid of Orleans"

Smiling as he noticed the other two Marines that he had at least attempted to get to know, Leroy walked up then bowed to both. "Porthose?" He asked, incorrect in his assumption. "And Lady d'Arc, nice to see I'm not the only one dredging up Hero's from the long dead past." Glancing at both he frowned. "I think the two of you are missing something." He said looking at their hips. "Give me a moment and I should be able to outfit both of you, if you so desire."

Kara shook her head. "I was hesitant to replicate a period sword," she admitted.

"Mine aren't replicated," Leroy said with a smile. "And let's call it a gift, none of the items that I've made for the crew, minus the Colonels pistols, are truly functional."

Cam nodded, "sure, it's something I didn't think about when I was choosing this costume"

"That sounds wonderful," Kara added. "Thank you."

Leroy held up a finger and quickly left the ball. Not really running, he started mentally checking his inventory before walking inside. Ordering two scabbards from the replicator, and cutting out some of the food he could order to do so, he sheathed the weapons, making sure that there were no burrs or anything that could accidentally harm a person. grabbing a length of cloth, he cut it in half then peace tied both weapons, before going back through the ship to the holodeck.

The trip only took about ten minutes, and he found both Marines still enjoying the party. switching the rapier to one hand, he held them at just under chest high at the center of the entire weapon. "For Lady d'Arc a broadsword, peace tied and dull. And for our valiant Musketeer , a hand forged French Rapier."

Kara unsheathed the sword just enough to have a look at the blade. "It's beautiful. Thank you."

Drowning the rapier from its sheath, he felt the ballence and weight, "hmm, very nice"

"You do marvelous work," Kara said. "Thank you again. I will wear it with honor." She strapped it to her waist, pleased at how it felt by her side.

Spartacus strode with more measured steps, the sandals upon her feet contoured between her foot and the ground, the golden chin guards wth the same cording that seemed almost to shine wlth a liquid metallic glow from the facets of the light. The white toga style dress fell to her knees with the gold breast plate with engraved hunting hounds across them over the front with the shoulders bare as the material hung the two back plates wrapping around her back and lacing the cord like a corset. Off the right side she had a golden quiver with arrows, the gold bracer on the left wrist as an archer should the in laid recurve bow across her opposite shoulder and gladius on her left hip. Around her head was a gold laced laurel wreath.

Coming into the room she moved across the room to meet her friend.

"Hello Samantha." Spartacus greet.

"Hello," Sam replied, looking Teenah over. "Let me guess...Greek definitely. By the decorations on your breastplate and the weaponry, I would say Diana, goddess of the hunt."

"Why would I let a home spun dress from our little excersion go unworn." Spartacus winked. "Though I am sure the real Diana had the hounds with he rather than engraved upon her chest plate." She smiled. "But it did give the proper effect." Spartacus looked at the outfit. "Archiologist by the functional style and footware, a field outfit and I admit I could place the era but not the persona I am afraid."

"Gertrude Bell, contemporary of Lawrence of Arabia," she replied.

"The fabric is very reminiscent of that era," Teenah said appreciatively. "However, you do not look like a Gertrude. Samantha suits you better."

"Thank you," Sam said, giving Teenah a bow. "I think I prefer being a Samantha, too."
