Of Gods and Men
Location: Planetside

[OLD]
"Considering we were seen in these clothes and are not from the area I thought a new bit of clothes and maybe even some old tricks with make up might set us apart from the very detail descriptions that would be coming out of the Temple, new clothes and other things might make us slightly harder to find." She glanced to Arnon. "So yes a make-over might just help keep us free a little longer than just traipsing around with recognizable faces and such? And the sleeves will hide her wounds better to most observers."
"At this rate it would be faster for me to repair the damage and no one would be the wiser," Arnon replied. "Let us exit, ladies, stage left even."
[NEW]
"Men have no idea how fashion plays into concealing things." Spartacus rolled her eyes.
"Most don't for sure." Illise replied with a smirk. "It doesn't have to be anything special though, just good enough to blend in." She glanced at her arm. The blood was starting to seep through the bandage. "Perhaps it would be best if you took care of this when we change," she said to Arnon, "New clothes won't be a good enough disguise if it keeps bleeding."
Arnon disengaged from the two ladies.
"Of course I'll take care of it right away," he said. Arnon gently took Illise by the arm and carefully removed the bandage. He examined the wound.
"Hmm..." he said. "That's a bit deeper than I'd like, but I'll have it all fixed up in two shakes of a targ's tail!"
Arnon sprayed the wound with a disinfectant and let it dry. Then he took up his regenerator and began to repair the damage. After a bit the wound was all healed. Arnon put away the regenerator and pulled out a hypospray. He set it for broad spectrum antibiotic and injected Illise.
"There we are," he said. "All better."
Illise flexed her arm a little, testing the tissue for any pain but there was none. "Ah modern medicine," she sighed. "Thank you Doctor. Considering our current surroundings I think its fair to say that you are a miracle worker."
"Now if we can make our way to the village so we can change our appearance and perhaps buy some time..." The sounds of approaching unfriendly auras tapped Spartacus. "Might we get out of the way I think some unfriendlies are in bound." She warned and started for some cover off the beaten path.
Arnon followed Teenah into the bushes.
"I warn you Teenah," he said. "If you are hoping to score bush points, forget it. I'm spoken for."
"I am glad there is someone for everybody I am told." Spartacus said in reply. "COnsider yoursellf lucky in that yours finally showed up." SHe was paying more attention to the approaching auras. "Now if you will be quiet and stay hidden you might even see her again."
[Inner chamber]
Sam was not in a position to respond to Arnon. She was focused on Frenatus. She didn't have a weapon, but she could still feel the gestalt generator in the back of her mind and leaned into it, feeling the surge of energy flow through her. It was a heady feeling. No wonder the lizard thought himself a god.
"We came in peace. Let us go in peace," she said quietly.
"You are infidels and must die," he growled.
"I take that as a no," she said.
[Village]
Cam and Kara were back in the village and heard a commotion. Several acolytes were running towards the temple. Kara got brief images of fighting and mental shouts of death to the infidel. "Should we follow?" Kara asked Cam.
"Might as well, seems like something's going on over there" Cam responded, watching the Acolytes run, "though, I think we need to drop these disguises and show them what Recon Marines can do" he said, referring to their skills in stealth and observation rather than their combat abilities
"And that's why I love you," Kara said, grinning. "After you."
Cam smiled, "hold here for a minute" he said, quickly running back to the inn. After a few moments, he returned with two black duffle bags, "here, put this on" he said, tossing her one of the bags.
The bags contained a full set of an urban combat uniform. Black Camouflage shirt and pants, black boots, and a flack jacket. The only bits that were missing from the standard load out were any tech beyond 20th century levels. Knives, bandages, rations, the whole works. Nothing was beyond 20th century tech levels. They didn't have any radios though as Cam figured if this lizard man could detect 24th century tech, 20th century tech would also be detectable.
Kara found a quiet corner to change, feeling both relieved and a bit out-of-place to be back in her regular clothes.
Quickly changing into the camo's, he hung up a small mirror on a nearby wall and started putting on his face paint, "how long has it been since you've put this stuff on?"
"Not since the Borg," she admitted.
Cam smiled, "well, let's see if these towns people are as easy to get past as those Borg"
[Reception Hall]
"You are no god," Samantha replied, leaning even more into the generator. "You are deceiving these people and I can prove it."
Frenatus raised his hands, but Sam gave him no time to build up a charge. She used the bit of telekinetic ability she had, bolstered by the generator, and threw Frenatus thirty feet across the room. "I know your secret. Back down now and we'll talk like two civilized beings."
