Mission: Of Gods and Men
Location: Starbase Typhon

Mara stepped outside the shop. She stomach alerting her loudly that she might want to find some food, otherwise it threatened to grumbled at her some more. She had been walking around the shops aboard the starbase since her arrival. There were still four hours to kill before her transport ship would even arrive at the starbase.

The problem with being extremely hungry is that you knew that you were hungry and while everything looked extremely delicious at the same time nothing looked appealing. She passed several restaurants and a couple of more when she arrived at a Japanese themed one.

It had been a while since she has had any Asian food. She stepped inside and was quickly greeted by a woman smaller in stature. She was very polite and offered Mara couple of different tables she could sit at. Mara pointed towards the sushi bar and the lady smiled nodding to Mara.

Mara took a seat at the sushi bar. There were several Itamae working on previous orders that had been placed. She looked over all of the ingredients that was behind a glass. It all looked fresh. She wondered from where would they be getting their supplies.

“HI.” A waitress came from the side. “Welcome!” She said with a smile then asked. “Would you like to drink anything?”

“A glass of cold water, and mint tea, please.” Mara responded looking away from the menu long enough to acknowledge the waitress then returned to her browning.

“You should try the Dragon Roll from their specialty menu.” A man from couple of chair away said. “Also, Spicy Tuna Roll is good. I know, it’s a little simple but it is very delicious. And on their secret menu they have an Ahi Tuna salad that is must have.”

Mara raised an eyebrow wondering if the stranger's voice was addressing her. She put the menu down for a second not wanting to be rude and she was greeted by a young man. Maybe in his early twenties smiling at her. He didn’t have any food in front of him but did have Sake. She noticed him smiling at her.

She smiled back politely. “Thank you. I will definitely consider those.” She looked over as the waitress brought her water. ‘Can I please have an order of Edamame?”

“Of course.” Waitress responded carefully. “I will have that out for you right away.”

Mara smiled yet again at the waitress and went back to the menu. She couldn’t have been looking at it for too long when the young man spoke to her again.

“I haven’t seen you here before.” He stated as he took a swing of his drink.

Mara closed the menu deciding to go with Ahi Tuna salad. She placed the menu in front of her and looked over the man talking to her. She knew that as long as she was there he would try to talk to her. She had noticed the way he looked at her. And when they are that young, they tend to have one thing on their mind. She smiled. She would play along. It would help the time go faster.

She grabbed her water, and moved down couple of seats to where she was sitting right next to the young man. She lightly brushed up her arm against his as she took a seat. She could see his face light up.

“I am just passing through. My name is Mara...and you are?”
