Mission: Of Gods and Men
Location: USS Seina // Starbase Typhon

A sigh of disappointment escaped her lips as she placed her empty cup on the table in front of her. She gently leaned back in her seat. Her eyes focused on the empty cup in front of her. She missed her daily routine of enjoying a cup of coffee at a café on the beach. The gentle warm ocean breeze bouncing off her face. It would be a while before she would be back there. She began to daydream, not even noticing that someone had stepped into the room with her.

“Excuse me ma’am.” The young Ensign called out to her.

She jumped in her seat. Startled by the sudden appearance of the Ensign. “Yes. What is it?” She asked attempting to not look foolish.

Ensign hid a smile and answered. “We will be docking at the starbase in approximately ten minutes.” He stepped aside from the door. He motioned towards it. “If you would like to see it. It will be in our view in couple of minutes.”

“Of course. Thank you.” She responded. She smiled at the Ensign. “You go ahead. I will be there in a moment.” The Ensign nodded and headed back to the front of the runabout.

She took a deep breath getting up from her seat. She quickly disposed of her coffee cup in the replicator then collected the PADDs that she had been reviewing. She returned them to her belongings and after straightening her uniform in a Picard kind of way she headed to the front.

As she entered the front section of the runabout she observed that other passengers were already there. She was the highest ranking in the room and as such as they greeted her. She returned their greetings making her way closer to the pilot console. She stopped behind a pilot seat looking out the front.

A small blinking light in the distance could be seen, but with each passing moment it got closer and grew larger. Eventually it wasn’t just one blinking light but multiple blinking lights coming from the station. It wasn’t the Stardock class station but still it was impressive in size. She hadn’t seen this type of design before, at least not in person.

“This is a Celestial class Starbase, ma’am.” The Ensign from earlier stated.

She looked to the Ensign momentarily with a nod then looked back out the window. She had read about them, and had seen images of them but it would be her first time aboard one.

Runabout pilots made contact with the Starbase. After several message exchanges they had their flight vector, and docking port. The runabout made a pass around the Starbase before entering.

She observed for several more minutes then headed back to her room to collect her belongings.

As she runabout finished its docking procedure the Ensign came over the intercom.

“Thank you for flying with USS Seina. The crew would like to welcome you to Starbase Typhon.”
