[SICKBAY]
Drani, despite having held onto the biobed, now found herself face down on the deck. She blinked a few times before taking a deep breath. A pain shot through her right side as she inhaled. Grimacing, she pushed herself up off the deck. "Is everyone alright?"
Helga was tossed around and had a few bruises from hitting the bulkhead wall, but she was mostly intact. She unhooked herself and went to see how she could be of help. When she saw the doctor, she hurried over to her. "Doctor Drani, are you injured? How can I be of help?"
"It's just..my side," Drani replied as she came up to a knee, still clutching her side. Make sure everyone is ok and then start preparing to send out medical teams as there are likely to be injured personnel all over the ship."
Helga shook her head. "Doctor first. Then patients." She helped the doctor to her feet and then to a seat. She grabbed a Feinburger and ran it over the doctor, quickly mending her ribs.
"Now, I will see to the others."
Galen turned her structural field to maximum, so that when the impact came she barely moved. As soon as it passed she check the patient. Finding him in good shape, she moved to help Helga after the nurse had finished assisting the doctor.
"Are you alright?", she asked, noticing a slight elevation in her vials which indicated an injury.
"Just some bruising," Helga assured her.
Galen nodded, using the internal scanners to confirm Helga's condition. Although they were not a precise as a tricorder, they were good enough. It took a little creative interpretation of the data of course. Helga only had minor injuries, which could be treated later if she wished to wait; others of the crew no doubt had not fared quite so well. She felt a momentary flash of anxiety, a reminder of what had occurred earlier when the power outage had prevented her from helping anyone, trapping her inside the Holo-Core. She quickly pushed it aside, lest the error reoccur as well.
Turning to Drani Galen asked, "Doctor Drani, permission to leave the sick bay? I would like to check on others of the crew."
Drani nodded as she watched a nearby console. "Permission granted. We have wounded in Engineering. Let's get a team down there. Any serious injuries, get them back here."
"Of course Doctor." Galen agreed. Turning two members of the medical staff who came forward, she said, "Let's get down there." She grabbed a medical kit from a nearby cabinet and headed out with the medics in tow.
Newmark was coming from the back of Medical with the 'Supply cart'; a mobile cart with the bandages, and other medical needs for a Triage type operation in mobile form.
"The lateral movement was a bit uneasy but it also hid that we made a warp jump of some speed, we should be ready to be at Triage level in short order, I have Jemnar getting a second cart ready." Newmark said. The two surgeons shout be ready to move about as needed, I aam a former field surgeon so I can do the Triage Doctor role if you want to handle the Operating room Ma'am?" He said to the CHief Medical Officer.
Drani nodded. "Very well, do it.". She then tapped her comm badge. "Dr. Drani to Bridge, we're sending teams to Engineering to assist with injuries there and another team to respond to any requests throughout the ship. How is everyone on the bridge?"
"We're okay here," Maria said. "We'll send you damage reports as we get them."
[Bridge]
"Intel to bridge."
"Munich here." He responded as he was still standing ion front of the Captain's Chair."
"I ran an analysis of the energy beam that hit us, " Jayna said. "It measured one point twenty one gigawatts. That's the electricity measured in a bolt of lightning. We're lucky we hit warp otherwise we might have gone back in time."
"Ve only have a stellar reference so we know where we are; I would not discount 'when we are' until we get the sensors vorking again." Munich quipped.
Jayna chuckled. "That was the energy beam, but there was more to it than just the electricity," Jayna continued. "There is nothing like it in the ship's computers that is anything like what hit us. Lightning alone could not propel us at warp 13. I'm still looking into it. Mira out."
Yui looked back from the helm. "I've managed to get our impulse engines back online. Along with partial warp drive" she reported. "We're currently capable of speeds up to warp three" Yui smiled as she was proud of her work.
"Good going." Munich complemented. Can you get me an estimate on how long it will take to get full warp?" Munich asked.
[Engineering]
Galen and the medics arrived in Engineering only a few minutes after departing the Sickbay. Immediately the medics began moving among the wounded, identifying those who needed more serious treatment, and providing first aid to those who didn't. Galen admired their efficiency, it was a testament to their training - or to experience. The Calypso had been through quite a lot according to the records.
Galen moved to an injured crewman. His leg wag badly broken and he had suffered a concussion, but neither was life-threatening. Triage was her least-favorite part of medical care, but she knew it to be a necessity. She stabilized the crewman and then quickly moved on to the next.
[Bridge]
"I have a course plotted sir. Its going to take us a while to get back to the planet" Yui explained. "I can work on getting our engines back up to full speed en route"
"Set course on impulse, best speed." Munich ordered. "I want da Engineers to have full access to the Drives, best to let them work and unfettered for a while to get better speed that using the engines and have to stop if there is a major problem." He suggested. "You can set the course and check on the progress if you like Yui?" He smiled. "Get a firm report on what is going on; that will be faster than standing here waiting."
Yui's fingers tapped on the console to power up the ships impulse engines. "Setting a course now, engaging at impulse speed" she reported.
Jennifer had been quietly working at a console attempting to aid in piecing together what had happened. To this point she had no further information for anyone. As she observed the crew work she felt as though she was a third wheel on the bridge causing more of a hinderance then help. If there was one thing the bridge did not need at this moment it was unnecessary personnel. She also had a great deal of work to continue. She rose from her station approaching the tactical console from behind Munich. "Commander Munich, I am going to return to intel. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything." she stated before walking to the turbolift making her departure from the bridge.
Munich was hoping that Commander Tate would have stuck around a little more. =^= Commander Tate, as a ranking Officer I will need you to be ready to assume the acting Executive Officer role.=^= Munich had run a quick roster through his head and Intel was an information gathering department, they were not known for manual labor in repairs so as the Chief of that department and her rank it was a logical course of action to include her. =^= I cannot be on da bridge all the time, I would request your support until ve retrieve Da Landing Party?=^=
[Sickbay]
Drani walked briskly to a biobed that held an injured chief petty officer from Security. His uniform and skin was burned on his right arm. "What happened?"
"Used my arm to shield myself from a console when it exploded," the bolian stated.
She nodded as she tore the burned uniform away from the arm and looked at the second degree burn. She grabbed a hyposray from a nearby table and loaded it with a pain killed before injecting it into the arm of the Chief. "Your arm will feel numb. I'm going to begin to heal the tissue with a dermal regenerator. "Just hold still," she said calmly as she grabbed a dermal regenerator and began to run it over the wound.
"Feeling better already, doctor," the bolian replied with a grin.
"Good. It won't take long..." Drani began before being interrupted by a nurse.
"Doctor Drani! Incoming Red," the nurse indicated the medical condition code of the patient. Shrapnel to the chest!"
"Here! Finish treating him!" she indicated to the chief she was currently treating as she rushed into the surgical ward.
A human man in an engineering uniform and shrapnel protruding from his chest materialized. "What happened?"
"He was working in the Jeffries Tube when we got hit. The relay he was working on exploded. Blew out the whole section!" the engineering crewman replied, shakily.
"Alright. Nurse, get him out of here and I need three to assist me with the surgery!" Drani replied. There wasn't any time to slip into a surgical suit as she injected the man with a anesthetic to put him under.
"Take whom you need?" Doctor Newmark said knowing that he was in charge of Triag at the moment but if surgery was immanant he could pass laong his work. "I am more of a field surgeon but if it gets bad I can break away to help should you need." He assured as he was tryingto tend the more severly wounded, actually being the Trama Doctor and evaluating where he could and passsing the harder cases along to sugical staff, this was not combat so the wound for the most part were not severe. "I know Operation Room Two is prepped." He knew a chest wound in events like this were rare but they happened.
