Mission:
Of Gods and Men
Location: CO's Ready Room
Timeline: Before leaving for Gekkaro

[OLD]
"Wolfe. I know you have been dying to get back to your job as Chief of Intelligence, but I am sorry to say, due to your absence the position is now filled. Because of your mission, I felt it necessary to fill your position with someone I trusted, and so far Rembrandt, and his team, have worked exceptionally well. After some talking, York and I, have decided to keep there their." Max said as he looked over from Damion to Remy.
[NEW]
"You traded me in for the Dwarf?" Damion said quickly.
"Wait? I'm staying? I didn't sign up for this. This is supposed to be a temporary thing. I agree with Wolfe, surprisingly. Let him have the job." Remy said as he looked to Max with confusion.
"Wait? I'm staying? I didn't sign up for this. This is supposed to be a temporary thing. I agree with Wolfe, surprisingly. Let him have the job." Remy said as he looked to Max with confusion.
"It's not going to happen, Batiste. So far, your team and yourself, have done very well in this position. The Higher Ups feel no need to change that. You're suited for this job. Both they, and I, feel you will do great things here. Your skills, and knowledge, will benefit greatly here." Max said with a stern looked as he looked around for a moment before looking back to Remy. "I guess you're going to have to find a way to get over your fear of working with other people. Can I suggest, Counseling?"
Remy let out a sign and cleared his throat, nodding his head a bit before looking to Damion. "You can't beat that kind of recommendation, Eh Wolfe?"
Damion gave him a stern look, trying very hard to fight the urge to punch the little Intel Officer in the face.
"On that note, Lieutenant, we've also decided there is no reason to take you away from the Calypso, and this crew. So-" Max said with a bit of a smirk as he cleared his throat and continued. "Effective immediately, you are being transferred to Security and will begin your duty as this ships Chief of Security. We believe this ship, and crew, will benefit from your time spent in Intel and on board this ship. Your clearance and level as an Intel Officer will remain intact. We hope that your skills will bring great pride to the flagship of the fleet and will always find a means of bringing her, and her people, home and in one piece."
"HA!" Damion said as he stood up and pointed to Remy. "You can't get rid of me that easily, Mini Me. Suck on that shinning recommendation." He than turned to Sam and Max and cleared his throat, adjusting his shirt and sat back down in his chair. "Sorry. Reflex"
Ronnie rolled her eyes. This was not going very well.
"Gentlemen," Sam said, looking between Remy and Damion. "You'll need to work together. I will not have two of my senior staff at loggerheads. And I will NOT have you play a game of oneupmanship."
"Ensign Sirel," Sam said, turning to the security officer. "You have the difficult task of being Mr. Wolfe's assistant."
"Of course not, Ma'am." Damion replied quickly, than paused after hearing the next piece about his assistant. "But, I have an assistant. Tallas."
Max nodded, looking to Sam for a moment before looking to Damion. "Yes, Lieutenant. However, as Chief of Security, your assistant must have the appropriate field time and must be ready to defend the ship at a moments notice. Ensign Shirol is a great analyst and technical officer, but she has little, to no, field training. If you give her a terminal, she can tell you everything from its software to its hardware. Unfortunately, a security assistant must be trained for tactical situations. Tallas has limited training with a phaser and tactical. We are not removing her from the ship, we are just making sure she is in a position she is best suited for. Ensign Sirel has the necessary training to work as your assistant."
"However," Sam looked at Remy and gave a half-smile before turning to Damion. "It would not be unheard of to have two assistants -- each with a different responsibility. Ensign Sirel has proven herself to be quiet capable in your absence and I agree that Ensign Tallas can grow into the role of second assistant."
"Thank you." Damion replied, smiling a bit.
"Wouldn't want you to be without your other girlfriend, Wolfe." Remy replied in a bit of a snarky tone.
Damion let out a sigh, adding a bit of a laugh to hide that he was seconds away from throwing the Intel Dwarf out of an airlock. "It's not like that, Grumpy. Tallas is a great officer, a bit shy, but great. I see a lot of potential in her and all she needs is a bit of encouragement. Girl like her, with not much else left for family, deserves someone to watch her back. Max can't watch everyone, Batiste. He has enough of a time keeping us in check."
Ronnie wanted to smack Batiste for his comment. She wasn't very happy with Damion's reply, either. "Sam, what about me?" she asked.
"You are still the assistant chief science officer. You'll need to meet with Illise Hale. She's the new head of department," Sam said.
Ronnie nodded.
"Now, is there anything else you wish to bring up?" Sam said, looking around the room.
"Before I left I was second officer. Am I still in that position?" Damion asked.
Sam again looked at Max, who was going to let her take this one. "No. It's been several months, Mr. Wolfe. And when Alexandra died, I needed someone to step up as Acting Xo. Hans Munich is now Second Officer. You will be Third."
Damion nodded quickly, letting out a bit of a sigh before answering. "I'm still a Lieutenant. I'm not a Chief of Intel and I'm not a second officer anymore. Damn. Today was starting to be a good day."
Ronnie put a hand over his and squeezed it.
"You are alive and you are here," Sam replied. "You are still a department head. And it appears you and Ronnie have worked out your differences. I would say you have definitely come out on top." She paused. "Starfleet is concerned about the two of you. They want to see how you deal with being back on the ship. And, Mr. Wolfe, they have concerns about you as head of security. I've assured them you are more than competent. All you need to do is be a good head of security and don't run it like Intel and I should be able to push through a promotion in a couple of months."
