Mission:
Of Gods and Men
Location: CO's Ready Room
Timeline: Before leaving for Gekkaro
ON
In the months that Damion and Ronnie had been away on their special assignment, a lot had changed on the Calypso. Alexandra Vance was missing and presumed dead, Remy Batiste was now Chief Intelligence Officer and Kela Sirel was Acting Chief of Security.
And now that they were back to stay, more changes had to be made to fit them back into the crew.
Sam called a special meeting with Max Hunter and several others to go over this.
Max walked into the room and took a moment to look around and smile at Commodore York. "Hello, Captain. Good to see you again?"
"Good to see you again, too. How is Admiral Burke?"
"Admiral Burke is probably neck deep in Fleet Business. I imagine she is doing her best to stay on top of every situation and keeping a firm ear to the ground on the status of every ship under her." Max said quickly, than nodded with a bit of a smile as he cleared his throat and tucked his hands into his suit pockets. "If I were to guess I would say she is doing quiet well. Happy a threat has been removed and finally taken care of thanks to well trained officers under her command." He paused again as he took a seat and leaned back as the smile on his face slowly shifted to a smirk. "Perhaps she is thinking of the next time she will be able to spend away from all the hassle of work and into the loving arms of someone close. Someone she loves and loves her equally, if not more so, in return. Whoever that someone may be, of course."
"I can imagine," Sam replied cheekily. "I hear that keeps her hands pretty full."
"Absolutely. It must be very time consuming to be constantly concerned over a loved one. Especially if he, or she, is always placing themselves in danger. For the benefit of their fleet. However, I think she will learn that said person is highly skilled and will never, not in the least, be taken away from her. That this person will always come back." Max said with a smile, pausing slightly as he sat down in the chair and cleared his throat a bit. "Oh, you mean her job. Of course. That must keep her hands full too, I guess."
Sam just shook her head. "Well, at least she's had plenty of experience working with rambunctious adolescents. And Starfleet Admirals."
"Well." Max replied, smirking slightly as he continued. "Dealing with one, usually means, you have dealt with the other." He began to laugh than suddenly stopped. "Wait."
That made Sam laugh as well.

Damion walked down the corridor with Ronnie at his side. As he walked with her he took her hand in his and looked over to her with a smile. "Good to be back, isn't it Ronnie?"
"It is. And it's a bit weird, too," she admitted. "I mean, I don't have to keep looking over my shoulder to see who might be watching what I'm doing. But I do look forward to finding a new normal with you."
Damion nodded and smiled as he stopped just outside the door. He turned to face her and brought her in close. "I can't promise normal, but I can promise it will be together."
Ronnie leaned forward and kissed him. "As long as I have you, I can handle the rest."
"You know it." Damion smirked as he took her hand in his and walked into the room. He stopped and gave York and Max a nod before taking a seat.
"Job well done, Lieutenant. If it were up to me I would give you a commendation as well as a higher rank, however it's not." Max replied with a smile, looking over to York with a hinting look before looking back to Damion and Ronnie. "Of course, you two must understand, said mission must remain between us."
Sam ignored his look. Although it was a job well done, she was not in a position to promote either Damion or Ronnie. Starfleet wanted them to be home and show that they were unaffected by their months away before authorizing any promotions.
"Absolutely." Damion replied with a nod. "We're just happy to get back to work. I hope Remy hasn't screwed with my desk or files."
Sam had come around her desk to hug Ronnie before she let her sit down. "Welcome home," she said, happy to see her friend again.
Ronnie glanced at Damion and smiled. "Thanks. We're happy to be home." She took a seat beside Damion.
Sam paused at looked between Max and Damion. "Well, there have been a few changes since you left."
Kela suddenly came in, followed by Remy who had Spock on his shoulder. "That was not part of the plan, Batiste. You were supposed to leave us to the sweep. We almost lost Stryfe and now we have someone in the brig that I know nothing about." The trill abruptly stopped and looked to Remy sternly. "If I were still a Klingon I would hit you over your small head with a mallet."
"Isn't that tantamount to foreplay for a Klingon?" Remy questioned with a smirk.
Kela just gave him an even colder look as she growled in place.
Remy crossed his arms as he raised a brow, keeping to his smirk. "Careful, Ensign. That's sexual harassment."
"That's enough." Max said sternly. "Take a seat. Both of you." He than leaned back in his chair and looked over to Sam with a smile. "They must be the children you were referring to?"
Remy sat down as Spock leaped onto the top of his chair and sat there perched with a squeak. Kela sat down as well. However, she decided to take the chair farthest from the small Intel Chief.
Sam didn't respond to Max. She nodded to the new arrivals. "Thank you for coming. We have a few things to clear up."
She turned to Max. "I'll let you have the honors."
"Wolfe. I know you have been dying to get back to your job as Chief of Intelligence, but I am sorry to say, due to your absence the position is now filled. Because of your mission, I felt it necessary to fill your position with someone I trusted, and so far Rembrandt, and his team, have worked exceptionally well. After some talking, York and I, have decided to keep there their." Max said as he looked over from Damion to Remy.
