Mission: Point of View
Timeline: Back Post - During the Leave at the Starbase

It was the morning after the party. Yui had the day off duty since the ship was at gentle warp. She had been through a rough time in the last mission. She had checked where Leroy was and it was no surprise that he was working on his fighter.

Dressed in a light pink crop top, denim shorts and a purple thin jacket she made her way through the corridors towards the shuttle maintenance bays. She spotted Leroy instantly his feet sticking out from under the fighter, and wandered over to him. She by now was fascinated by him and wanted to go a little further in their relationship, but she enjoyed the fact that they were going slowly together.

When she got closer to the fighter she stood facing it directly behind her. The body was up on maintenance stilts meaning that when Leroy spotted her he would only see her legs and belly up to the top of her belly button.
"How long have you been under there now?"she asked simply with a smile.

There was a sharp gong like sound, and a muffled word that might have been made up as Leroy was startled by the voice of Yui. "Oh you know, long enough to get a concussion, and figure out that I'm no engineer and need someone to build me a new boat..." Sliding out from the undercarriage he smiled. "Or have one delivered. But until that happens, wanna learn how to fly a Delta with me?"

"I can see you're no engineer" she said with a smirk. She leant against the wing of the fighter. "For one, you haven't connected the anti-matter fuel line, not to mention the landing thrusters are upside down..." she explained.

"Ok, so maybe I'm a little out of my depth here, who's askin?" Leroy said smiling as he stood. "Still the question remains until we can get to a starbase, or pass a ship with an extra fighter I have to learn to use one of the Delta's."

Yui just smiled. "It can't be that hard" Yui said. "I can teach you if you like? Or should you be teaching me?" she giggled as she said as she ducked under the fighter. "We can rebuild it together if it will improve things" she explained. "I did minor in Engineering"

"No, we can learn and help the engineers later." Looking down at his uniform, he started towards his office. "I probably need to change first, then holodeck?"

"Sure" Yui said. "What do you have in mind?" she asked curiously.

"I'm thinking that maybe we have a nice mountain climb and then a little base jumping into a lake?"

"Sounds good to me" Yui replied with a smile. She followed him to the office and stood by the door. "I'll give you a little privacy if you like"

"Standing in the middle of my door isn't giving me privacy," he said laughing, then reached out and pulled her into the office. "That's privacy."

Yui couldn't help but blush bright red in the face. "I... wasn't expecting that" she giggled.

Laughing, he hit a button showing a private shower room, filled with more uniforms and a couple of articles of civilian clothing. "See, you don't have to go anywhere just so I can get changed." Stepping inside, the door closed, allowing him three minutes to change, before stepping back out pulling on the left cuff of his ice blue button down, before buttoning it. He was in a pair of gray striped slacks, his combat boots, and the button down. A slim black Italian silk tie was tied around his neck, fastened by a pentacle tie pin with the black pieces inside being onyx. The cuffs were closed with silver gemmed cufflinks, that if anyone looked close enough they would see emeralds as the stone. A tan vest that had several pockets, almost like a cameraman would wear, except it had a holster on one side for a pistol.

"So dinner, some flying, and a little holodeck time?"

"Sounds good to me" She smiled. "You fly boys have it all don't you, I wish I had a changing room in my office" she explained. "But its not that hard flying a Starship compared to a Fighter right?"

"I wouldn't know to be honest, I've never flown a starship," Leroy said shrugging. "Wouldn't even know where to put the joystick if I ever had to fly the Caly."

"I could always show you where to put your 'joystick'" Yui couldn't help but giggle. She was rather impressed with herself for coming up with a reaction like that so quickly.

Cocking an eyebrow he smirked. "Really now, and how would you do that?" Holding out his arm, he unlocked his office door, which slid the door to his private shower back in place. "SO where to first, holodeck, or do we try to find dinner somewhere that isn't the mess?"

"You decide" Yui smiled. "We could have dinner on the holodeck if we wanted, we could go anywhere"

Shaking his head he started off for the Officer's mess, hanging his head slightly. "wish we were near a planet or a starbase or something. I get tired of the same food all the time."

Yui couldn't help but laugh. "It would be nice to get off ship for some downtime every now and again" she explained as she walked with him. She put a hand on his shoulder to stop him and turn him around. "How about trying that new civilian cafe that opened on deck eight?" she asked. "I know its not very romantic, but... its different".

"Didn't even know that we had a new café, and they can always be very romantic." Perking up a little, he followed her to deck eight and the new café. "Except I don't know what I'd order from here."

They shortly arrived. It was a small place, and Yui had only ever passed it. "It only opened when we were last in spacedock" she explained. "I found it by accident the other day, it does big cups of coffee to go" she smiled as she found a table and sat down.

"So you keep heavily caffeinated before your shift, it's probably a nice change from the usual." Smiling he sat across from her. Picking up the padd that held its food orders, he looked them over carefully. "It seems to be mostly pastries and the like, and what are panini's?"

Yui looked over at the PADD and smiled. "They're like a sub-sandwich but toasted and warmed up" she explained. "I need coffee in my life, otherwise I'll be sleepy at the helm. I don't do early starts".

Cocking an eyebrow, Leroy laughed. "See, the great thing about my position, I get to get up almost any time I want, or I spend days at a time staying awake." Shrugging he ordered a Philly Cheesesteak panini, some Pomegranate green tea, and an order of a dozen beigets. He also made sure they had real sugar, making sure that that was going to come to the table with the tea. "Put your order on my tab, and you can drink anything you'd like."

Yui studied the menu before making her decision. "I'll have a ham and cheese panini" she explained. "Sweet green tea and some chocolate doughnuts too!". It was safe to say that Yui had a sweet tooth. She looked over at Leroy. "Most people wonder how I eat such stuff and don't put on weight" she laughed. "It just seems to always go straight through my belly and disappears... maybe thats why I'm always hungry?" she pondered cutely for a second.

"We just have faster metabolisms," Leroy said with a one shoulder shrug. "I think it comes with being a pilot, we deal with so much stress that our bodies speed up our metabolisms and make it to where we don't gain a whole lot of weight." SMiling he thanked the young woman who brought their drinks. Taking a sip, he began pouring sugar into the tea, before stirring it, then taking another sip. "Perfect," he said ignoring the fact that a quarter of the sugar was gone.

Yui laughed. "You like it sweet too" she said after observing the amount of sugar he had put in. "So" she began. "If you want later, I can get us some time with a shuttle alone" she explained. "We have a few on board with manual joysticks installed, unless you want to fly in a fighter?"

"I think that would be awesome. We could always take a Delta, their made for more long range options, and all I have to do is sign one out, drop a message to the Commodore that I'm doing a quick scouting mission, and we're left alone for a little bit." Taking another sip of his tea, he looked the café over. "I don't know how I didn't know this was here."

Yui smiled. She liked the idea of being alone with Leroy for a while without anyone disturbing them. "It sounds like a good plan" she said. "We should come here more often. I've heard they do good breakfasts"

"Breakfast? What time is that at?" Leroy asked looking at the padd again. "Oh no, there's no chance I'm getting up before I have to for something like that. Unless..." Winking he looked up as the server started bringing their plates. "I need to add a half pound double burger with pepper encrusted back, and a fried egg over hard with mayo and tomato only, prepared to go before we leave if that isn't too much trouble."

"That's fine sir, just put a time on the padd and we'll have the meal ready by then. Fries or would you prefer something else?"

"Beer battered Valentia onion rings, with a mixture of barbeque and mayo on the side." Picking up his padd, he looked at the food, and did a quick calculation of when he was going to be done eating, and put the time in. "Thank you."

Yui couldn't help but giggle as she watched the server walk away. "I'm guessing you're packing a picnic for our shuttle trip?" she asked. She picked up her panini and took a bite. It was nice to have some fresh food, it was nice to finally eat something that wasn't replicated.

"No, for that I have something else in mind. That's my breakfast, I'll store it in the cooler back in my quarters before we go out for our alone time." Taking a bite of his own sandwich, he looked at it, opened it up and sighed. "I knew I forgot to say no mushrooms," he lamented.

"Mushrooms aren't so bad" Yui replied. "How much do you eat? I couldn't eat huge amounts, I'd never wake up"

"I have a faster metabolism than most, so I have to eat constantly, even though I try to keep it to a minimum. I even keep better rations in my fighter so I can snack if I need to on patrol." He started to pick out the mushrooms, placing them on the plate then pushing it to Yui. "You're free to the fungi."

Yui helped herself to the mushrooms and munched on them with a smile. "Maybe I should see if I'm allowed cake at the helm?" she asked curiously. "That would make my job better..."

"I doubt regulations or the Commodore would allow that Yui," Leroy said with a laugh. Placing his sandwich down on the plate, he leaned forward and smiled. "So, do you want to take a shuttle or take a fighter?"

"Upto you" Yui said. "I can easily get us a shuttle" She explained with a smile. "Also depends how far we want to 'scout'"

"Far enough that we can't easily be called back." Leaning forward he smiled. "Lets go somewhere else."

Yui nodded. She took Leroy's hand and pulled him away from the table. "Lets go now!" she said.

Laughing, Leroy laid down some money for the food, then signaled that a recreational Delta was needed for him and a single passenger. "Alright, let's see what we can find out there."
