Mission: Deadly Diplomacy

[OLD]
That answered her question. Phoenix towed Leroy out to where he could sit and scan for the Caly. She went a short distance away and parked her ship so she, too, could scan. When they could, she'd take Leroy back to the Calypso so his fighter could be repaired.
Within moments they began sending back information to the ship.

Wedge did a little victory roll as he was banking away to kae up a good position to cover a region of the network. The sensors on his ship were limited but with the damage to the MOther ship it might be best to just hang back a bit and get some relief. He could stand this for a while.
=^= Calypso, Fighter four on station. =^= Wedge reported and tuned his panel for remote operation and data relay.
Bojay was taking the Low road and the underside of the Cally's regions, it was not the bottom of the barrel but then close to his position so he chuckled.
=^= I'll be careful not to tickle the underbelly while down here. =^= Bojay transmitted. =^= Fighter Three on station and transmitting all datum.=^=
[Bridge]
Sam carefully checked the data coming in from the fighters. So far, it looked like there were no more enemy ships. She relaxed a bit with the knowledge.
"Sir, I recommend we re route power from the ship's holo emitters and stellar sciences. I think I can bypass the damaged systems and get partial main power back. Sensor resolution will be degraded somewhat however, " Austin said.
"Stellar science should have its own power supply, but use the holo emitters if you need to," Sam said.
-Fighters-
Leroy looked over his sensors as he helped act like the ships main sensors. While that happened he was also running around the craft, trying to patch systems so he could move around on his own. As he attempted to patch the systems, sparks flew from behind him, showering his back in hot metal and electrical arcs. "You know, that isn't supposed to happen," he grumbled to himself as he turned to work on the other side as well.
=^= I think you have made an understatement Boss." Wedge commented. "But on the other side we should have been cut down by the odds we were facing so should we call this even? =^=
=^= Being used as probes. =^= Bojay added. =^= And who says that machines are taking up a human's job? =^= He chuuckled. =^= Or is this a case of a human taking a machine's job? =^= He bantered.
-Sick Bay-
Arnon quickly signed off on the orders of a Nurse Practitioner after reviewing them. Seeing two corpsmen put a patient on a biobed he walked briskly over to see what he could do to help. It was a marine with a disruptor injury to the shoulder. Erecting the sterile field on the biobed, Arnon removed some of the packing, careful not to disturb the clamps the corpsmen had put around the nicked brachial artery while the corpsmen held the artery in place. Arnon took protoplaser and knitted the artery close. After he determined that blood still flowed from the artery, he used a regenerator to repair the damaged muscle and tendons. Finally, he took a dermal regenerator and closed the wound. The shoulder would be quite sore when the patient woke up. Arnon prescribed a moderate pain medication, thanked the corpsmen for their help and moved on to see where he could help next.
"The line outside the door is gone," Helga announced. "We only have seven people waiting for treatment and none of them are serious."
"Excellent," Arnon replied. "Let's get the rest of them seen to so we can wrap this up."
Newmark came onto the scene after doing a lot of his own job of patching people and keeping things running as smoothly as possible. "I hope this is the Home Stretch and not the after Inning changing of team positions?" Newmark commented. "You two are doing excellent work; I do appreciate all your efforts." He glanced at the few remaining wounded. "Finish this off and I hope the Lounge is open as I'll buy the first round?"
"I will hold you to that," Helga said, grinning. She wouldn't, but the banter helped ease some of the tension in sickbay.
"I look forward to it, Doctor," Arnon said.
[[Outside the Calypso]]
William 'Longarm' Ripken was conducting surveys along with the rest of the fighters to determine if their were any further invaders. It had been assumed the raiders were attempting to free the war criminal captured during the diplomatic negotiations. So far, the skies were clear, well all except the floating wreckage from the battle.
His console began to illuminate with a red hue distracting Ripken from his routine inspection. He began working the console in an attempt to correct the malfunction causing the alert. His facial expressions and motions on the keyboard became more frantic as he began to realize he was no longer in control of his fighter.
[[Amarylis Beckinsale's Quarters]]
During the entire ordeal Amarylis Beckinsale remained confined in her quarters unable to react to the developing situation outside. The power outages had first alerted her to the raid. She pleaded with the security officers to release her but instead they erected a forcefield around her quarters and moved to intercept what she believed were boarders. She felt completely cut off and useless, she should have been out there fighting with Captain Bourne and the rest of the crew. Instead she was locked up like a criminal. To Samantha and the rest of the crew she was no different from those who sought to raid the Calypso.
"You wish you were out there don't you?" A very familiar feminine voice said from across the room.
Amarylis turned slowly instantly filled with a mixture of fear and rage. She could not tell which was the more dominant feeling. As she faced the cloaked figure her lip quivered as it curled in utter disgust. "Get out slime." she replied through gritted teeth.
Morat laughed. "Sticks and stones. Spare me your inferior attempts to hurt my feelings. I am here to help. They wish to keep you out of the action yet you wish to return to it. I can facilitate that."
