Frost left Korok and walked down the corridor. The two had spent many hours together the last few weeks during his therapy sessions and this was as unlike the klingon that could possibly be, at lest the man that Frost had learned about. So she headed off to find the one person that she knew might have the answer, one very tall science officer by the name of Andrews.
Dr. Frost seldom entered the science department it wasn't as if she hated it it was that she normally was extremely busy but with the new addition of a assistant and suddenly Frost found herself at a small loss about some of her new duties to perform and so she had taken a break and had gone to visit Korok. She paused inside the door and looked around.
Lieutenant Andrews was examining some slides when she heard the door to the Science Department 'woosh' open. She saw the Doctor and began to stand. "Doctor, what may I do for you?" She asked.
Frost smiled slightly her hands had found their way behind her back as she had walked she gestured towards the chief's office as she glanced around the many ears and heads that suddenly seemed extremely active in the room. "Can we speak privately?"
Andrews softly answered. "Yes, here is ok."
After the door had slid shut and before the doctor could sit she said "I'm here about Korok."
Andrews sighed and absently rubbed her belly. "Is something wrong? I know he's been a bit 'off base' lately, but...."
Frost looked at Andrews "But what?"
Andrews smiled.."I was trying to lead up to what you wished to talk about..is something wrong with him? I know he's been cranky for a while, but otherwise..."
Frost smiled slightly "I had hoped that you could shed some light on that cranky. He missed his therapy session and he is sitting in the Lounge playing frisbees with tables any ideas why?"
Andrews shook her head. "He's hurt, and doesn't *like* being hurt. Him being a Klingon, that's an insult to injury, so to speak. He... I think he has some doubts, about how he'll be as a father, and if he's ready for it."
"From what I've seen most men do like to be injured. So, how do you think we can help him work past his injury so he can do what it is that he is trying to do with the lounge. I spent many hours learning, helping and assisting with his therapy. All he ever talked about during that time was you, Oliver and Olivia. He did not say much about becoming a father except as how it related to the twins and how he hoped that he would do his best to protect you and them. I also know he cares for the three of you immensely even if he does not always say it. That may be part of the issue. The other half is how do do we help him get past his wounded honor, at least that is what I think he is feeling even though it may be misplaced. I have not dealt with too many klingons and this one his unique in the fact that even though his heart beats like a klingon, he is very much bajoran as well." Frost took a seat and looked thoughtful her patient was important to her. "He also mentioned more then once that he thought this move from the Ares was a bad move. Any ideas why?"
Andrews sighed. "Regarding the move, I took this position so that the twinds and I would be closer to him. If he has thought the move was a bad one, he has not discussed it with me. I'm always willing to talk with him about it. But as you've seen, he gets..'scowly,'" Andrews grinned a bit. He's not scared, just 'wounded' as in pride. He wants to do more but that wound keeps him from doing it." Andrews pursed her lips in thought. "Doctor, do you think it would help ifI got him to 'expend' some of his 'pent up energy?' I'm not exacty a midget, and could take care of myself."
Frost looked at the science officer "You?" She asked and then said seriously "You are pregnant and you want to physically go fight your husband. Even in his current condition he would and probably could hurt you. Seriously hurt you and your child."
Andrews sank back in her chair. "You're right, of course. I don't know what I was thinking.."
Frost leaned back in the chair slipped her shoes off and crossed her legs on the chair. "I do not know too much about Klingon's and their beliefs but I wonder if his being held captive had anything to do with his current state of his surly attitude ."
Andrews pondered that idea. "That may be. They did quite a bit to him physically and psycological wise. This may be his way of working that off."
Frost shrugged and smiled as she looked up at the tall science officer "I leave that for you to decide how you should handle it. Do whatever it is the two of you feel will work for him and yourself. Talk, argue, eat, limit your drink and be very careful if you must fight him. If it helps that is." Frost slipped her feet off the chair and slipped them into her shoes. "Well I suppose I should head back to Sickbay. She paused once more "I would like it if he made his way to therapy if at all possible sometime tomorrow."
Andrews smiled back at the Doc. "I'll talk with him..and I'll get him to attend therapy, by hook or crook." She got up to leave. "I'll see you either on the Bridge or in the halls." Andrews said as she left.
Frost left Science she smiled to herself, it felt good to accomplish one thing. One thing that she hoped would end in a positive light.
Andrews decided that if she was going to get Korok back on an evel keel, there was no time like the present, so off she went to where he currently was.
