Deadly Diplomacy
Location: Space, Deck 4

Leroy had left the briefing quickly, not even bothering to grab clearance to leave before making his way to the shuttle he had flown in on. He knew he didn't need it to be honest, since he had the Captains orders. Flashing them to flight control, he started his warm up.
The bay was empty, everyone else in bay one was on patrol, making sure that no one was trying to start a fight. As he opened up the comms to Engineering, he heard three Worker pilots already suiting up and waiting for his go to launch. Signalling that he would make sure they were all clear, he shot out of the bay as quickly as he could. That was just in case anyone was watching and waiting to fire.
Buzzing the bridge, then both nacelles, Leroy called to the Engineering pilots that he knew they were clear to begin their approach.
Lt.jg Shannon O'Brian answered the call. "O'brian here, what's up?"
"I've cleared the ship for your bees to launch. They'll need to follow me for access to the shuttle parts we were ordered to collect. I expect both launches within forty seconds with a full burn following my fighter. If you have questions, ask them now." Leroy was buzzing the bridge again before flipping and flying under the belly of the Calypso.
O'Brian shook her head. "Yeah..if you're a pilot, what do you want Engineering to do?"
"Launch the two worker bees I asked for, and help tow the debris back to the Calypso. I'll be there to make sure that nothing disturbs the work being done." Leroy shook his head. Couldn't anyone just do the job asked without asking stupid questions? Leveling out by the bay where the Engineering craft would launch, he had his fighter stop. Doing the buzzing and flybys would drain his fuel faster than anything except combat. "Now come on so I can get this investigation under control."
Obrian fumed inside. "Ok, hot shot..." She said to herself. "Worker Bees launched.they are approaching debris..prepare to accpet them."
As the two launched, Leo took off after them, quickly getting to the lead and then making his path to the debris. Ordering the two to collect everything and make sure it was brought to shuttlebay three, he tagged Phoenix, asking for a sitrep on her maneuvers.

Bojay and Wedge sat in their 'ready Fighters' on ramp duty. While the other flight were in the air these two pilots were on stand by in the event more fighters were needed? It was common practice to have ships at the ready during operations.
"Think we will get a flight?" Bojay asked.
"We wait orders my friend, if the orders come we fly; if not a quiet time with my favorite lady."
"Sometimes I wonder about you Wedge." Bojay joked.

Phoenix was on patrol in the system, making sure no one decided to start another fight. It was pretty quiet, which was both good and bad. Good in that she really didn't want trouble. Bad in that it was a little boring. Still, she was happy to be behind the controls of her fighter. A bell alerted her that the sensors had spotted something. She touched a button and the heads-up display began to scroll data. "Phoenix to base. Picking up a vapor trail. It's a day old, but keep your eyes sharp just in case."
=^= Launching ready fighters.=^= Calypso Flight Control announced.
Wedge was the first to emerge from the FLight Deck with Bojay tight behind. The two ships arced towards Phoenix.
"Hey lady, could you use some pals to track, better to do in packs you know?" Bojay could not resist.
"We are enroute to your position Phoenix , twenty seconds to intercept." Wedge gave the official notice.
"Hey! Cut the chatter!" Leroy called over the com's as he made his way to the debris. "She is your flight leader, show some respect!" Clicking over to where only Phoenix could hear he was laughing. "Let me know how they do Phoenix. Including what they say about me."
Phoenix laughed out loud at what Mangalia said. "I'll let you know how they do but what they say will cost you," she teased.
Then, switching back to the main comm channel she said, "Okay, hot shots, let's see how good your tracking skills are. Bogey went behind the far planet."
Just to make sure they did it right, Phoenix kicked in the engines and shot around the planet to have a good look herself.
"I will go low opposite you Phoenix." Wedge suggested. "In case they are waiting for us?" He used some extra thrust to get him a fast turn around on the planet.
"I will stay high cover." Bojay angled his approach to best be in a position to cover either of the two fighters that needed him.
Phoenix quickly picked up the trail of the unknown ship, but it was heading out of the system and she only followed it far enough to determine that it was gone. "Looks like bogey hightailed it out of here. Heading back to standard patrol. Wedge and Bojay, did you find anything?
"Yeah, they did not leave anything behiond." Wedge said. "No disturbance in the lower orbital tracks they used this to hide from ship's sensors their jump." Wedge guessed while coming back towards patrol coure.
"Well I got to look down at things but that is about all." Bojay said , his fighter forming up
Inside at Engineering, O'Brian just shook her head and kept her eyes and mind on her boards.
As his three shuttle flight got close to the source if the explosion, Leroy started searching in all directions. "Alright Bee's. Get the parts, get back to base. If something tries to come at us, I've got you covered. Let's do this quick and clean, copy?"
O'Brian piped up." When you have all the pieces collected put them in the docking bay nearest Engineering."
"We'll transport them into Cargo Bay 3 on deck 38," one of the pilots replied. "Heading in to the shuttle bay now."
