Mission:
Revenge
Location: Various
ON
Alexandra had met with Master Sergeant Mangalia and determined the location of the hidden facility presumably where Samantha and company were being held. The Calypso had not been subject to anymore attacks and now it was time for them to launch an offensive of their own.
Munich had the sensors diverted to his console, the 'shielding' had harmonics to be sure but he could also read their 'cycling, there is a nano second that the shields would over lap, in thise micro fractions of a second seemed like an open door. Someone who really understood transporters could maybe find a way through but it would mean getting the timing fown to a nano-second and the transporter would be a burst.
"No more dan three or four at a time." Munich said, "O'Brian once used this trick while in combat with a familiar transporter..." He tried to narrow the search of the frequency. "THis is more of a shielded Force Field, a constant and stationary so once we get the code we can transport in time with the cycles for about ten seconds then they will know there is a problem?" He llooked up. "I can get us through the field in small groups but they will need to have some distance alternating between at least three transporter points." Munich suggested. Question is how many Marines do we need to send?"
"Nine" Cam said, "Two squads of four and myself. Sending each team to different positions won't be a problem, I've already briefed the squads I'm taking down on every outcome this mission has. We'll get our people back, but the next question is how many security people are being sent down at the same time?"
"Not many," Maria replied. "Half of them didn't make it off the last planet. The reason is still under investigation. We received more personnel, but half of those were taken." She looked down at her screen. "I'd say six."
"Good. The smaller the force the better. If anything goes wrong the XO can pull out and get help" Cam said, going through the situation in his head.
Maria nodded and looked at Hans. She had to admit, she liked that plan.
"Dat makes fourteen..." Munich stated. "It would be better to even things out and have sixteen members or twelve." He pointed out. Two alone is okay but they will not have much support, iz better if we go for a full team." Munich glanced up. "I will go with last team to assure communications is established among team and relay to ship."
"Four man teams works," Thomas said, walking up to Cam. "Sergeant Bosley requesting permission to join the team, sir."
Cam nodded, "very well Sergeant, you can join the second team"
Thomas nodded and headed back to the Marine deck to get his gear.
Dr. Frost and the medical team arrived. "We are ready to assist as needed." The young doctor had a phaser at her side.
Cam wasn't as enthusiastic about this, "I'm not sure if that's a good idea. We're heading into an unknown situation down there and taking noncombatants down with us just doesn't make our jobs any easier"
Lt. Andrews came into the room, carrying a Klingon Bat'leth. "Permission to join the rescue party?"
Cam held up his hand, "hold on Lieutenant"
Dr. Frost glanced at 1st Lt. Bourne her tone full of understanding. "My team and I can always stay behind, but if we do then there is always the off chance that someone might need our expertise. Perhaps your girl or perhaps the Captain. Personally I don't relish the thought in having to haul my Captain back to the Caly in a body bag, nor anyone for that matter."
Giving a sigh, Cam eventually nodded, "fine, you can come with us, but you will follow the orders of your team leaders without question or hesitation. We can't afford any doctors trying to be a hero down there, running around trying to save everyone in sight" he said, turning to Lieutenant Andrews, "and yes, you may come Lieutenant, but you will stick with the medical staff"
Doctor Frost glanced at the marine "Lieutenant Bourne, have no worries about me being a hero. I carry a phaser because its required, and in situations like this and you just, never know when you might need it. But I will behave and follow orders, its what I do best, right after I stop the bleeding."
Andrews hugged the Bat'leth close to her, then began to 'parry' with it away from the others. "Guard against Infantry.." She whispered to herself.."Guard!" She brought it down to where it was slightly level with the front above the end, her feet spread apart. "Ohh, for an Enfield with an bayonet" She thought to herself.
Cam shook her head, "she's your problem now"
Andrews looked at Cam, and smiled.
Frost looked at the tall woman from the Ares. "You actually know how to use that thing and you brought a phaser just in case?"
Andrews smiled at the question. "Yes..yes I do. My self defense instructor taught me what to do with it..and how to *gut.* If need be."
Andrews checked over the phaser, then placed it in her belt. "Thanks, Doctor, my I have a med kit as well? She asked Frost.
"Well Lieutenant Andrews its your lucky day, I also have a extra med-kit that has your name on it for some reason." Frost nodded at Bob to hand Andrews a kit.
[[Another Transporter Room]]
Vance entered the transporter room alone and adorned in a black jump suit from her days as a field officer. She took a moment to carefully check over her side arm and any ancillary equipment she carried with her.
"Ma'am?" the chief asked watching her confusedly.
"I'm going down to the surface to find Commodore York." she replied continuing to verify her equipment.
"You can't. You're the CO." he replied.
"NO chief. I AM the XO, the Commanding Officer is on the surface and I am going to get her. Anymore stupid questions?" she growled back stepping onto the pad.
"I don't like this at all."
"Objection noted." Vance shot back. "Energize."
The chief sighed shaking his head before executing her order. He may not have liked what she was doing, but he damned well admired her vigour. Secretly, he hoped she would bring their Captain home.
Eamon rushed in and sighed as he was too late, the first officer had already left the ship. He turned to the Chief. "Keep a lock on them all, coordinate with the other transporter rooms to get everyone up at a moment's notice."
"Aye sir," the chief replied already tapping at his console.
The Inaran turned to was about to walk out when a sir came from the chief again, Eamon looked over his shoulder. "Yes?"
"Who is in charge? With the command team on the surface."
"Good question." Eamon replied then left.

Hopping up onto the transporter pad with his squad, Cam prepared himself to go down to the planet, "Chief, energise when ready"
