Mission:
Revenge
Location: Calypso
ON
A sweep of the area should give some results if the comm badges are not being blocked or only able to give a weak signal. Munich knew this was a futile manner of tracking but te regulations clearly state that such tests should be taken. The communications and 'white noise' of the background had nothing to tell him despite hsi specialty in communications.
The next task at hand was using the list of those missing to arrange the next in the comman chain to replace any Department heads or shift Leads; this is especially important in Security as it is hit the hardest. The Marines could; and should be, used to autgment the Security forces as technically the ship was attacked and personnel taken. This is a state of combat readiness and the Marines are well suited to aid in that situation.
The lack of damage to the ship made things easier but then he would have to keep some sort of a scattering field up until the missing people needed transport. The Flight Control Officer would be able to give the commannds to refit shuttles and Munich was sure teh Pilots would know what they need as well. Munich assigned several OPS people as Logistical Team Leads to help this process.
It was not so easy being second in command; he had not even dealt with that yet, after the supply logistics are done he would get to the Command chain. He is perfectly happy commanding the bridge from his OPS station and getting other work done as well.
Anastasia sat, quietly, on the floor, between the Security consoles. Her legs were crossed. Her eyes were closed, and she had her hands rested on her legs. There was the occasional humming sound. She had only moved twice in the past six hours, to reply to the console, working hard at analyzing the transporter signal, and configuring internal systems to prevent further abductions, even with the shields down.
She had not, in fact, moved, even to eat, beyond her four foot circle of consoles, in 12 hours. She was perfectly at peace. And perfectly silent. She did not say anything, she simply observed everything around her, without watching any of it.
A male's footsteps approached, she opened her eyes at once. "Chief Warrant Officer McInley." She said, without looking up.
He handed her a PADD. She quickly read it over, nodded, placed it on the console, and simply said "Dismissed."
The Chief Warrant officer nodded, and walked away. Anastasia resumed her peaceful state, waiting for her consoles to tell her something.
Stepping onto the bridge from one of the aft turbolifts, Cam looked around for the on duty security officer. He wanted to discuss with them the arrangements for his Marines assisting in ships security. To that end, he'd prepared a short list of people he thought would work well with the security staff. Spotting Lieutenant Morrow, he walked over to speak with her, "excuse me Lieutenant"
Leroy soon appeared on the bridge as well, seconds after Cameron and walked to the Marine CO, putting a padd down next to the man. If they had to work together, at least he could be somewhat helpful. "The pilots I've selected for runabout duty, and my fighter wing is ready to go. I'm going to have them trained in ground fighting as well in case you decide we need to get in the fight besides bombing runs or something of the like."
Cam nodded to Leroy as he picked up the PADD and quickly skimmed the names, not all of which were familiar to him.
Sterling looked over at Cam and started to say something but waited for him to finish speaking to the other officer.
Finishing with the others, Cam turned finally to Sterling, "What can I do for you warrant officer?"
"You were looking for a Security Officer, sit. I belive I fit the bill. I am the ship's Security Investigative Officer. Could I be of any help?"
"I suppose you can, with the security staff short on people, My marines are ready to step up and help. I've put together a list of people I think will work well with the remaining security staff"
[Science]
Lizzie and Roberta walked into the main science lab together. "Is there a particular place you want me to work?" she asked the other officer.
Roberta looked around the Bay, taking it in. She then turned to Lizzie. "Run a spectro-anaylsis of the space area around the Calypso marking one full day before this event occurred, *then* the day it occurred, and then match up the time when crew members started disappearing with that previous day's time. If there is *anything* out of the ordinary, log it and report your findings to me as well. I'll be over viewing the past logs to see if anyone mentioned any type of this anomaly."
Lizzie nodded. "Okay." She found an empty computer in the corner and logged in.
Andrews ran through the logs untill they were fast becoming a blur. She stopped and rubbed her eyes and called out to Lizzie. "So far, nothing.. how are you coming along?"
"Found something. Something scanned the ship twelve hours before our people disappeared. We didn't pick up on it because the signal piggybacked on a routine data transmission into stellar cartography."
For the first time in a while, Roberta smiled. She fast-forwarded the logs to that point in time. "Ah hah.." She said' "There's a 'break' in our logs during that time - no transmissions, communications, nada. Send your info to me and to Lieutenant Lynx in Engineering; I'll send you both what I've found. Hopefully we'll be able to make some semblance of all this and come up with some answers."
