Mission:
What Dreams May Come?
Location: Various / CO's Ready Room
ON
After security arrested everyone in Davy Jones' Locker and sent them to the brig, Sam ordered a quick investigation and called for a meeting with a few key personnel to discuss the matter.
Gaia had to ask directions five times before she found her way to the CO's Ready Room she pressed the chime and waited.
Cam was in his office, reading over the stories he'd gathered from the marines involved in the bar brawl, trying to get an idea of how events played out. He wasn't looking forward to explaining things to Sam. Coupled with the fact that his girlfriend was laying in sickbay unconscious as a result of the fight, he was in a bad position. Hearing Sam's voice over the intercom, Cam sighed, picked up the PADD containing the Marines' statements and made his way to the CO's ready room, stopping off in sickbay to check in on Kara on his way.
After a few moments, Cam stepped onto the bridge from the aft turbolift to see Gaia standing in front of the doors leading to the Ready Room. Walking down to stand beside her, he glanced down at her, "well, I know why I'm here"
"I have no idea why I am." Gaia looked uncomfortable standing where she was. She didn't feel that she belonged any where near the bridge or the ready room of a starfleet vessel. Fleeters had the tendency to behave and act differently then many other people. Gaia thought it was the uniform and rank system.
The door opened and Sam nodded to them. "Come on and have a seat."
Gaia entered and took a seat she fidgeted slightly as she looked around a small pucker of a frown formed between her dark eyebrows.
Cam took the seat next to Gaia. He could tell she was nervous but he didn't know what he could say to make her feel at ease
Max walked down the corridor, dressed in his Starfleet Gray's. A sight most who knew he weren't accustomed to seeing. At his side, trying to keep pace was Tallas Shirol, looking exceptionally nervous. "This is your first Staff Meeting?" He asked sternly as he continued walking.
"Uhh.. Yes, Sir... uhh... Admiral." Tallas responded nervously.
"Try to be more alert. Listen to everything. Don't be afraid to contribute. Don't reveal anything classified." Max said sternly as he stopped outside the Ready Room and turned to face her. "Most importantly... Call me Max." He smiled, putting his hands gently on her shoulders. "You'll do fine, Tallas. I know Damion. If he asked for you personally, and pulled strings to get you here, I know your gonna do fine. Just be confident."
"Right.. Confident." Tallas nodded with a smile and looked over to Max, getting slightly nervous again. "Can't I just let you do all the talking?"
"You could." Max said with a smirk as he leaned forward slightly to her and whispered. "But then you wouldn't get a good chance to earn browny points with the boss, would you?"
Tallas smiled and nodded. "It's a good thing I had that extra Caf-Pow before I came here. It's also a bad thing too."
"Oh?" Max asked curiously as he looked to her.
Tallas started to dance in place, looking like she was about to explode. "I really gotta pee."
Max laughed, which soon ended in a sigh as he spoke up. "Consider that another important rule to these meetings. Make sure to go before it starts." He chuckled slightly and gestured down the corridor. "Go, and be back here when your done." Tallas nodded and began to power walk back down the corridor. "Make sure to wash your hands." Max yelled out and then shook his head with a chuckle.
Soon, Max entered the Ready Room and took his seat at the table. He looked around and nodded his head slightly. "Ensign Tallas will be joining us in a few moments. She had to run a quick, errand." He looked over to Sam. "Hope that's alright, Captain?"
"That's fine, Admiral," Sam said.
Only noticing the Admiral when he sat down, Cam snapped to attention. Although it wasn't Starfleet custom to stand at attention when a senior officer entered the room, The Corp still maintained it's higher level of discipline.
Max nodded to Cam. "At ease, Marine."
"Thank you sir" Cam response, relaxing a little as he retook his seat
Tallas ran into the Ready Room and stopped at the doorway. She checked her uniform and then slowly made her way to the seat by Max. She gave him a quick nod then looked around at the other officers, feeling a slight nervous again.
"You should remember that it's against regulations to discharge a phaser on a starship without authorization." Before anyone could say anything, Sam raised her hand. "I know the circumstances. The problem is that it happened and we have to deal with it. I would like us all to watch the security vid and then I would like your comments."
She pushed a button and the events of the previous evening began to play on the large viewscreen.
When it was over she looked at everyone in the room. "Comments?"
Gaia simply sat there as she still wondered why she was there. This was an starfleet issue she crossed her legs and waited and listened.
"Gaia, as the lounge manager, I would like your opinion as well," Sam asked.
Gaia nodded that she heard the Commodore but kept quiet and listened for the time being.
Vance entered the room quietly in the midst of the inquiry. She did not approached Lieutenant Bourne and simply observed him.
Cam watched the video replay, showing little emotion. He already knew most of what happened in the bar from his interviews with them Marines involved. Waiting until the video finished, Cam sighed, "I knew something like this wasn't far off" he said, looking over at Sam.
