Mission:
What Dreams May Come?
Location: Sterling's Quarters
Timeline: Current
Previously on Calypso:
Not at all, you are more than worth it. I would become a commoner in heartbeat. I just want to make sure you know what we're getting into."
"I know and I am."
"There is a transport to Akadia that leaves in three days. It leaves at 6:30. I'll get us two tickets and meet you at 5:00.
"I'll be there my love." she replied.
And now the continuation:
Sterling paced the length of the wating room of the small Space Port for more than likely the literal hundredth time. It was hard do say for sure, he had lost count. He glanced down at his chronometer. It was 5:25. Rachel should have been there half an hour ago. She was always early, but she was no where to be found.
He glanced over at Darcell, his best friend and potential mate, who had come to see them off. He was sitting non-chalantly reading a PAaD.
Then there was a blood curdling scream that seemed to eacho and reverbearate throughout the facility. Both boys whirled at the sound and began running towards it. There was a woman standing outside the Ladies Bathroom with a shocked expresssion on her face and blood on her hands.
Both Darcell and Sterling entered the bathroom at almost the same instantneither one of them giving a rat's fart in a hurricane that they might see something naughty.
What they saw was much worse than naughty. They saw Rachel laying in a pool of blood. Her body was twisted and contorted her head had been severed from her body and lay a few feet away.
Sterling caught sight of someone he had not noticed when he and Darcell had actually discovered Rachel's body. A shadowy figure with a meanacing face.
Time passed in the dream Darcell was pushing him onto a transport. He was crying and he had said some horrible things to Darcell, but Darcell had chosen to ignore it. He had forced Sterling onto the ship.
It was the only way to avoid a marriage that neither wanted and as Dar had told him whoever killed Rachel might well be after Sterling or him, or Darcell's Bajoran friend.
