Mission: What Dreams May Come?
Location: Gaia's quarters

[Location: Paradise]

When Gaia stepped out of the door from the man who could and would get her some much needed supplies. Gaia smiled as she walked towards her restaurant her shawl covered her blonde hair, and draped over her shoulder, her skirt lifted slightly off the ground. She could have taken the transport or one of the local vehicles but chose to
take the long way, she needed to see how Paradise was fairing. It didin't look as if it was doing all that well and Gaia's thoughts drifted towards her last conversation with her Teji, her grandfather.

[Location: Bazinga's on a Starbase]

"Gaia, I won't live forever you know that, right?" As the elder of his household Teji was aging and not aging well, time had taken its toll on him. It wasn't as if he was going to die tomorrow but his two grand-daughters didn't seem to aspire for more family. Goodness when he was their age he had two or three little ones running around.

Gaia moved around the kitchen stirring soup, stopping to chop celery to add to it. "Uh, huh... I know grandfather." She was only half listening to what he said. She was in a focused zone, her favorite zone, cooking, she scooped the vegetable up and dumped them in.

"Gaia, I've also told you of the young man and his family that I met here on the base right?" Teji asked as he watched his granddaughter move around the kitchen she was so much like her mother, he thought ans smiled at the memory and the resemblance.

"Yes, Grandfather someone named Torin."Gaia's voice was preoccupied as she spoke and chopped some various nuts for a salad that would be one of the many courses for their dinner tonight. She started to hum a light tune. As she picked up a spoon and tasted the soup.

"Gaia, I've arranged for that young man to be here tonight to meet you. The two of you have much to discuss."

"Discuss, grandfather why would I need to discuss any thing with this man I've not met."

Teji closed his eyes, he did not want to do this but he felt he had no choice. "Gaia, I've arranged for you and Torin to be married."

Gaia rolled over in her sleep and groaned "No Grandfather, please no."
